I've *just* recieved my modmic wireless, it's pretty dang great though having to wait one hour for the adhesive to cure is annoying (also picks up rattling noise from the mic when moving headset around) One thing about the modmic is that it removes the Rift S's greatly annoying microphone glitch: turning into incomprehensible (and sometimes LOUD) robotic noises at random, which the already horrible quality makes worse. Shame that Oculus will never fix this now...
I just bought a mod mic wireless for my rift s, and it doesn't work! the mic works fine when not in vr but when i try it with oculus, it thinks that the oculus mic is superior and shoves the mod mic into what i call is the "waste of money" pit. the mic just doesn't work for me. it is weird that im asking for support in the comment section of a year old video but if you have a solution, tell me!
I don't have the mic but I assume your issue is that you have the headset as your default device in control panel, go into control panel and disable it entirely or make the mod mic your default device
I have a question 🙋♀️ if you want your output voice to be more clean and clear in game can you put the other end that it comes with in the charging port of the headset and link it to your output on your vr headset? The oculus quest microphone quality isn’t that good so wanted to find something suitable and gave you that cleaner voice not so muffled and fish dome sounding
I am not sure, but I just ordered 1, and it's coming tomorrow, and I have an adapter to try that, any I'll let you know if you haven't tested it already

my usb modmic not working with valve index
Thanks for the well made video, super helpful 👌
omg i'm impressed how reverb g2 sounds, it would be cool to make some bass in voicemeeter and it would be a perfect mic
My lad wants this mic for gaming through the quest 2. Can that work?
As long as you have a pc to connect to - yes
OMG Thank you for that video! It help me a lot :)
