3:57 i use the modmic and i d9n't fully agree there. I'm usually very successful and consistent when i want to turn it off. Maybe cause i'm used to it but i can basically do it without counting Also i thought it was three seconds i always did it with 3 seconds in mind and it works so i'm not sure it has to be precisely 2 seconds?
I know an antlion modmic when i see it! Honestly, using one to turn audiophile headphones into a headset is still such a great play, so it makes sense for it to apply to VR, too c:
The modmic wireless would be an instant purchase if it isn't still using micro USB... The hardware is so out of date it really needs a V2. But since there's no real competitor out there antlion has been selling the same old hardware for years at the same price
@@LexYeen Id still say yes, 10 hours battery life still means ill need to charge it every day and usbc would have way better longevity. With that said, I did post this comment before the video dropped but it's great that they ARE indeed developing a V2. 8 years is a pretty long time for tech and I'm sure the v2 is gonna be way better in every way, so I think it's smarter to just wait for the v2 if you can afford to wait. I originally wanted it for vr but I went with a lav mic setup instead and it has been working fine for me.
I think I'll wait for the V2 version. The micro usb is unfortunate and the one button solution seems pretty annoying. If the V2 has USB-C and multiple switches I'd happily buy it.
Me accidentally buys a yeti pro microphone from Amazon for $130 and decides its not worth the hassle of taking it back...so now i have a decent microphone guess im gonna start making music!
My headset was from a yard sale, and I may have accidentally almost “unplugged” a mic that is very much not supposed to be unplugged. The mic doesn’t work anymore, but I can’t really tell if the audio quality is good, since I haven’t really ever used anything better.
I use the same mic. I mostly like it, ecxept that the button barely functions at all... I have to smac it on a table to turn it on at times, which for some reason actually works haha but I honestly can't wait for the series two.
Personally other than the fact that its bluetooth only and uses only one button it does look cool plus I can see the appeal when you need a mic that small and just works
@@SafetyAlwaysOff Right on my man I just ordered a pair yesterday. Excited to see how it works out for me since I am tired of using a boom arm for a small desk.

It's actually stated in the video directly that the entire video (aside from the intro) was recorded with the modmic! Everything from 0:37 onwards is the modmic the entire video

I hope you're all ready for a lot more ivycomb in your feeds :)

I injured my leg a few months ago, and seeing cool shit like this makes me really miss that minimum wage paycheck.

I actually use this thing for VR. I attached the magnet onto my Vive Pro Eye and use it for VRChat. I hope we see more devices like this.

on the one hand, yes, micro-USB is older.
on the other hand, does this use case _need_ better than micro-USB?

This Is really useful! I’m definitely looking at getting this now cause most headsets I own are shit.
Funny coincidence I'm probably getting myself a modmic uni soon
Yisssss😊
I just realized ivycomb was an audiophile

As soon as I heard "wireless" I had made the decision to never buy this mic.
Got one because of this video, honestly I really like it. I just wish it was USB C charging, but other than that, this thing is amazing!
How's it so far after 1 month of use?
@Kryex You can tell it's been used but it's still working just as good

The most important thing in a mic review... is a mic test. Unless this video was recorded with the modmic?

It is not in fact an advert it's just a review
