Your suppose to wear the nylon side closer to your uniform... So when you open the jacket your suppose to read the labels on the liner

This makes sense, but sometimes the government does things that don’t…

I figured somebody would say that. I have never read the regulation about which side goes in or out. But I have wore these mini times in freezing temperatures and I wore it with the fussy to the inside and it worked just fine.

@@WebGearReview Pile (white) side goes out. as far as I've been able to tell its so any sweat that the nylon wicks goes into the wool and then evaporates off of the wool and not your skin thus still keeping you warm even drenched in sweat.
In practice.. it actually works pretty okay.
they issued whatever they could and another common combo for keeping warm in winter was wearing the Ike Jacket under the field jacket and If you had an HBT, that as well.

Yeah I believe you guys are correct. In one of my videos I mention the Ike jacket being worn under the M 1945 combat jacket Thanks for watching

Can you do a series on the m65 field jacket and it’s accessories from the hood to the liner and how to set it up. I’ve been looking for a video on how to set up an m65 field jacket hood and liner but i can’t find one anywhere so I’d thought I’d ask you. Thanks and love your videos and your collection and the information you give.

I see the M1951 liner for the first time. It is similar to later version of filed jackets liner.
    Thank you for fine footage.
