does the contact connection come apart from the housing i have a Hahnel flash thats broker but the only hotshoe replacement part available seems to be the Goddox part.
ATG brilliants designed plastic hotshoes go back to the world's popular Vivitar 283/285/285HV It is best to break/damage the flash's hotshoe than the camera's hotshoe. Causing just to replace the camera's hotshoe the camera has to be taken apart with is costly. Beside what I have said Sony MIS is the worst design that was ever made. Sony HVL-F60M had many broken MIS. Then the new HVL-F60RM- now both MIS are broken. Your tile should have says, "Replacing the hotshoe MIS". Because one can not repair something that's broken.
Thank you for detailed feedback! I broke my flash hotshoe with it sitting on a tripod, but you are certainly right that repairing the flash is much cheaper than the camera, so of two evils, the flash is the one to break. All the best!
@@frederikboving Many times the flash's MIS breaks was stressed from rotating from landscapes to portraits & back quickly. And it comes out, falls out from the camera because there is only one small locking pin.

Uh, I am not an expert on Hahnel flashes unfortunately, so I am unable to say if a Goddox part will fit.
