Perfect. I agree, the bags do look a little small, especially for a three week tour. But they look great. Easy to mount, water tight and they look good too. I’m looking for something for the old Tiger. But right now my money is needed elsewhere. Perfect review. They have stood the test of time.
Hi you were gonna so us the 60liter topbox. Got me all excited. An Xceed 60liter? All I can find that fits the easy rack is the Xplorer 60 liter, or the rounder ones.
Thanks for this review - very helpful. I am seriously considering Xtravels for my R1250 GS - currently I am using the plastic Vario cases which weigh 7kg each when empty! Same as you, I like the simplicity of the C-Bow racks. My only concern is the proximity of the exhaust to the right hand bag - have you had any issues with heat?
Great-looking colour scheme on the GS by the way, perhaps my favourite. The slim pannier-bag set-up brings a lot to it. For the life of me I can't understand why pannier bag manufacturers don't put a lock or even simple loops on the outside of pannier bags. Nice walk-through mate.
Big fan of the Hepco & Becker 45l top box. Those BMW pannier racks are terrible to look at and useless for aftermarket pannier bags. I ended up taking mine off of my GS.

They sure look like a nice kit. I always appreciate it when someone spends some time using a product before reviewing it.
