Well, finally got around to watching ROS, and my low expectations were not low enough. What a pile of hot garbage, although quite different from Last Jedi. While Last Jedi was intentionally offensive to fans, ROS was just stupid. JJ Abrams at his worst, trying desperately to shove 10 gallons of crap into a 5 gallon bucket. And the man simply has no concept of time and distance.

Those who claim otherwise have just been blinded by their desire to see new Star Wars films and see the characters from the original trilogy again. We've seen how these characters have been betrayed by a mind-numbing script, just like everything else, which not only contradicts the saga, but also simply copies and pastes episode 4 as if episodes 5 and 6 never existed. I don't see how it could get any worse. The pitch from these "fans" was that it would get better with subsequent episodes. Their faulty hypothesis proved them wrong, and that's what made them so angry. But some remained blind and only blamed episode 8, when everything they reproached this episode for was already in episode 7, but worse. Fortunately, they are increasingly in the minority, as many have become aware of the problem.
I so desperately wish I could talk to Wolf. First I'd tell him that he can come back when he chooses to, if at all. And that ultimately I care about his mental and physical health much more. But I'd also tell him how much I adore his content. 1. He sounds EERILY like Lyle McDouchebag/Lyle Rath. And 2. I love his passion for the subjects he covers. I discovered him out of nowhere. And that over time I LIVED for every video he would put out. I hadn't been so excited for weekly uploaded videos since the OG Nostalgia Critic. Wolf if you ever see this, take your time, but I hope I get to see and hear your content again. Your rage and enthusiasm is a sorely missed bright spot in my life. While I'm certainly not letting RJ off of the hook, this entire trilogy was one giant cluster f$@k of a missed opportunity. To have my suspicions confirmed that Disney had no plan for this trilogy. The Last Jedi virtually DESTROYED the entire sequel trilogy (and much much MORE). What they did with Luke is something I can never forgive. Mark Hamill had every right to disapprove of how badly they did him in.

It’s utterly tragic how the sequels turned out. The Force Awakens had some interesting plot hooks, but after The Last Jedi, I knew there was no saving the trilogy.

Just found out that Rey apparently can bring back those from the dead. Yeah. I don't remember seeing any genuine blockbusters in the past 10 years. Like lines out to the streets. Movies and streaming shows are fcking atrocious now compared to the movies of the 80's and 2000's. The only movies that I actually saw and liked were dune 1 and 2. That's maybe 2 mild boxoffice successes out of a blackhole of disaster. I remember watching that Napoleon movie (which was somehow screwed up even though HISTORY IS ALREADY FCKING WRITTEN FOR YOU) and truly realizing cinema is dead.
Don't be so modest. It's not only the worst SW movie. It's one of the worst written movies across ALL categories period. Film students of generations to come will study this as a way to learn how NOT to write a film.

This is the best rant I’ve ever seen regarding the sequels. I don’t consider any of the sequels canon. I recently made a rewrite of the sequels and that’s what I consider to be canon.
I could live with Force Awakens but I'm not married to it. I felt that movie was decent and they had the beginnings of what could be a great trilogy and then they shit the bed with the Last Jedi.

I think, if they stuck with it, the "nobody parents" thing could have worked. It could have sent a message that, with effort and a little luck, you can always make something of yourself. In Rise of Skywalker, however they turn her into, basically, a trust fund brat.
The issue with that is 7 essentially made her a marry sue, what Rian should have set up is that she has repressed memories or her parents were non mainstream jedi.

The Last Jedi virtually DESTROYED the entire sequel trilogy (and much much MORE). What they did with Luke is something I can never forgive. Mark Hamill had every right to disapprove of how badly they did him in.
Kotor 2 does a better job at deconstructing the starwars universe better than last jedi, and kotor 2 was released unfinished.

Thank you so so much for this video! This was probably my favorite video by the Dishonored Wolf. He’s opened my eyes to how deeply flawed the Last Jedi was. The more I watch this review, the more I realize a lot of the problems the film had. I really miss Dishonored Wolf due to his talent in videos and telling people to be more conscious in story telling.
Edit: (Spoiler) Read some of the spoilers from Rise of Skywalker. Just found out that Rey apparently can bring back those from the dead. Wait, wasn’t in Episode 3 that Palpatine manipulated Anakin about Darth Plageuis bringing back the dead and yet he becomes the sith?? I can’t believe how they flipped the writing and changed the rules of Star Wars 😕

Yeah. I don't remember seeing any genuine blockbusters in the past 10 years. Like lines out to the streets. Movies and streaming shows are fcking atrocious now compared to the movies of the 80's and 2000's. The only movies that I actually saw and liked were dune 1 and 2. That's maybe 2 mild boxoffice successes out of a blackhole of disaster. I remember watching that Napoleon movie (which was somehow screwed up even though HISTORY IS ALREADY FCKING WRITTEN FOR YOU) and truly realizing cinema is dead.

This is the best rant I’ve ever seen regarding the sequels. I don’t consider any of the sequels canon. I recently made a rewrite of the sequels and that’s what I consider to be canon.
I could live with Force Awakens but I'm not married to it. I felt that movie was decent and they had the beginnings of what could be a great trilogy and then they shit the bed with the Last Jedi.

I think, if they stuck with it, the "nobody parents" thing could have worked. It could have sent a message that, with effort and a little luck, you can always make something of yourself. In Rise of Skywalker, however they turn her into, basically, a trust fund brat.
The issue with that is 7 essentially made her a marry sue, what Rian should have set up is that she has repressed memories or her parents were non mainstream jedi.
