    I just got one and it works great and is awesome for cleaning up those rough lumber pieces. Takes barely a minute per side but the end result makes it worth it. Wish I had it earlier.

      I wouldn't say I was moving, but nothing wrong with having several platforms. Some tools are just built better than others for certain applications 👍

    Can you reduce the chamfer depth by the planer depth knobb?

    • @ChampionsOfTheTrade
      @ChampionsOfTheTrade  Год назад +1

      You can, but that test run was on a 0.5mm depth so it was almost on its lowest setting.

    Useful video! I have the same planer and when I try to plane small pieces of wood I find I end up getting trenches and uneven spots although I go with the grain and only take small increments off at a time.
    Any tips for better finishes?

      This sounds to me like planer snipe which can happen if the planer isn’t flat to the surface (left/right; front/back). If you’re working on smaller pieces try adding supports around the piece to make sure you have a flat reference surface.

      @@timdodsworth7388Ok thanks for the advice.
      How do I add these supports and where do I add them before beginning to plane the work?

      @@mattseymour8637 you could clamp the guides either side of the piece you wish to plane.

      @@ChampionsOfTheTradeWhere are the guides located on the planer?

    What's the screw knob on the front of the machine?

    • @ChampionsOfTheTrade
      @ChampionsOfTheTrade  2 месяца назад +1

      It's for holding the guide rail that slides in through the hole on the side. 👍
