  • This is video #4 in a series of 4. After a brief review of the "uncommon" NHSTs (hypothesis tests with the null hypothesis as the claim), we introduce the chi-squared goodness-of-fit test...an NHST where the claim is almost always the null hypothesis. Excel is used to demonstrate the test of a uniform distribution of probabilities. And this is followed by a non-uniform (general multinomial) distribution of probabilities. The calculation of the p-value for this NHST is demonstrated in Excel using both the =CHIDIST(·) function and the =CHISQ.TEST(·) function.
