Ty for the honest opinion Gillies I base most of my purchases by what you and others say .. I do infact like the signal meter but that's me ..also I'm glad I waited and didn't buy the raddy RF-919 or the LC-90 I'm getting this tecsun will go along with my PL-990X and my Sangean ATS 909X2 I can't wait ty for everything sir... Alabamared256 wavin!!
Band conditions high up even on 10m has been quite poor recently . Hopefully the Sporadic E will hold out a bit longer and conditions especially 10/11m will improve soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻. If it can try 6m too
The bsnds are different by our standards because I know that some Chinese stations definitely broadcast out of band. One explanation. Outside of that I wouldn’t know why the coverage is so wide.
Just when I think I may buy one…lol…the warbling thing would be annoying. Overloading is also not optimal but like you say it is tough to find portables immune to it
Dan Robinson has reported issues. Sync not holding. Deaf at higher frequencies when compared to his other radios. Perhaps overloading with external antenna?
I do not find it deaf on higher frequencies for now... Sync is par with other Tecsun receivers ..ok ..but not great...overloading happens on ALL portable radios with external antenna so ...it is not worse than others on that regard
Thank you for the many hours you are working on this project.

It's still looking like a good radio.

This summer has been dissapointing on 10 m and even on the chicken band 38 lsb
Great observations man, Tnx!
Well, I hope you give Tecsun feedback on the S-meter flaw (slow response).

This made me think. Does this have a full spectrum on FM. 64 RUSSIAN TO TOP END 108 ?
yes
@@OfficialSWLchannel thank you
Does the radio have an external speaker connection? I wonder because I might use it as a desktop radio and an external speaker may be quite nice.

I only had one signal. so I need to test it more before for the SSB warbling

Robinson found that it was a bad cable (not the radio's fault). It's not deaf on the higher frequencies.
@@OfficialSWLchannel dan updated his video and said he had antenna fault. So It was better on the high frequencies
Could be great if they allow us to upgrade the firmware like other new radios with memory cards…
Unfortunately it does not offer this option, yes it would have been great
