You should do video comparing this against the Eufy Cam 3, since both cameras seem to be made for those of us who prefer local storage instead of monthly subscription
Great video thanks for taking the time to do them! There are two annoying issues that I found with the Reolink eco 4k 1- The video does not look 4k in my opinion on my 4k monitors (I do a lot of videos) looks just about 1080p, would be great to come up with a method of accurately working out the actual resolution of these cctv cameras and compare with the stated specs. In the EU and UK specs are legally binding claims I think. 2-Slightest rain and the eco ultra 4k's lens gets wet (and we have a lot of rain in the UK) which makes the video not fit for purpose. (I had a lot of cheap bullet cameras and they have a rain protection hood which was great). The Reolinks do not have that, neither do they offer it as an accessory. I can send pictures/video of what it looks like with the slightest raindrops rain
i have watched many of your videos... i have tried a few different cameras, but am wondering is there anyway to "MONITOR" a camera for 7/24? it seems when i display on alexa show it only shows a short period and it takes forever to bring up camera and by the time you bring it up, the person is no longer there. is there any way to monitor one of the newer style cameras for 24/7 if i am willing to donate a pc or show or monitor or any other device 24/7? currently i have both eufy and nest cams and i think i even have a ring camera here somewhere too. i just want ability to monitor 24/7. I am not talking recording 24/7 (i do have eufy e330 which records 24/7)...but how do i monitor 24/7
I live in MI winters, get cold here, below zeeo. Id liike something wireless, no subscription, low lag/delay between when sensor picks up the objects and starts to record and sends notification, long battery life, no false alerts/detectioms when leaves blow in the wind etc. I've had Blink outdoor cameras, and they were junk on every level. Will these cameras live up to my goals?
For your needs, I recommend implementing a POE setup. Too cold and too hot is not good for battery cameras and they tend to always have a delay. The tech is just not available yet for battery cameras at the moment.
Now Reolink has quite a number of 4K cameras out there, but still not raising the cameras’ frame rates, around 15fps what a joke! Looks like that “ghosty image” at night will be there for a long time hahaha Let’s not forget the reason why we’re buying these surveillance cameras for… Burglars break in more often at night, human detection works best when the cameras capture the human face more clearly even at night without ghosty images, i’m still waiting for that perfect camera… Oh come on, it’s not that we can’t afford to pay a little more for a much better camera, why are they either lowering the frame rates or giving us a 2K instead of a 4K? Hey Reolink my patience is limited, sorry for stating that imo
I agree total garbage 🗑 I'm still waiting, too. I don't want wired and holes in my home, long latency, lag or false alarms or pay for a stupid subscription.
Hello, quick question: Are there any 4K electric powered outdoor cameras that don't require the use of an NVR? I am looking for one that is app-based and plug-n-play. I want to replace my old 3MP Swann POE camera system. Don't want the hassle of running long ethernet cables anymore. 😩
I recently purchased Reolink RLN16-410 NVR with a 4TB Hard Drive. These NVRs can be upgraded to 12TB Drives, but I was wondering if I could use just one 12TB Drive or is it better to use two 6TB Drives.
In terms of night time quality.. looking at your videos, it seems the infared is better on the Argus Eco Ultra and the spotlight is better on the Argus 3 Ultra.

Interesting. Nice . Really curious on the differences between this and the Argus 3 pro ultra.
Did you also test the range with infrared in the dark?

Thanks for the review. Too bad about the lower FPS at night and motion artifacts in video quality.
@Draconis8888...Thanks for watching!
Yea, garbage 🗑
Thank you for your videos. You helped me to decide which to buy. 💪👏
I am trying to pick either this or S220. Which one you recommend ?
You are my number one go-to review channel for security cameras.
Could you review K&F Concept 24/7 wifi solar camera ?
Are these 24/7 record? Can you recommend a budget wireless 24/7 recording camera? Looking for after this ring price up!
Do you have a review for Argus Eco Pro?

Ciao, è possibile usale la connessione wifi del telefono in thetering? grazie
I have a ring indoor cam and a tplink wifi cam. Both on same wifi inside same house. The ring always comes up quick and reliable. The tplink does not?
do you prefer Eufy or Reolink?
Argus 3 ultra or eco
Ultra ? What is the difference ?
Thanks L.H.
@ronm6585...Thanks for watching!
This one is great. But the footage in the color night vision mode is not that clear.
Garbage
12 fps at night is horrible and has streaking with it... but nice audio and video... compare it to the argus 3 pro ultra/>?
Will do in a future video.
What is the best POE camera that supports Alexa ?
Good video, how much video did the eco ultra record as you walked towards the camera?
I always have set my post motion record to 30 secs. So it records at least 30 second clips.

Side note, 2nd gen wireless ARLO doorbell out, any review soon?
Wish I can download the Reolink app on my Apple TV.

Reolink have a variety of POE cameras that can be used with and without the NVR that is app-based and plug-n-play.
4K on Wi-Fi cameras are super compressed not like POE
The Reolink plug in WIFI cameras are not as compressed or probably the same as their PoE versions.

You have to use 6tb drives. It only supports 12tb by using two 6tb drives. Weird but that is what Reolink says.
Awesome video! Am doing a lot of research and this is thorough. PS: It's Alexa, not Alex-a.
He mentions "Alexa" I'm a weird tone so it doesn't accidentally trigger the amazon assistant
@@Kaienhere makes sense! Didn't think of that
Nice grass!
Not bad for a more budget camera.
Actually....and I told Reolink this...this is not a budget camera anymore..$180 MSRP. More expensive than the Argus 3 Ultra.

That's true. The Eco Ultra's light is not that bright.
