    Miss April, I miss your videos. I pray all is well.
    Question: I have high porosity dry 4C hair that’s on the thinner side. In your opinion, relaxed or straight natural for my hair type?
    P.S comb back!!!

    What products do you recommend for straightened relaxed hair to moisturize. Most products I use revert hair back.. too much water in it!

      Same lol I recently bought the "One n Only Argan Oil" which is a serum that alot of relaxed and flat ironed girls rave about. I got it from Sallys for around $7 for the smaller sized version, I like it so far!

    My apologies for the disrespect and never telling you about Emu oil. I discovered Emu Oil when I was having some issues with my edges and it’s grew everything back. Emu Oil a very, very light oil with no smell. I am relaxed with a pixie cut. My hair no longer likes castor oil so I moved on. I use Thoeries shampoo and deep condition during every wash with Rolland Una products with heat. I use Its a 10 leave in and Rolland una restructurizing for shine. I mold using Nairobi and only use heat on special occasions 🙅🏾‍♀️. Oh and I use a semi-rinse Adore for added shine, if you do not want to color your hair Adore makes a clear rinse that would give your hair shine during the cold months.

      Do you know by any chance if Emu oil is a cruelty free product? I would love to try something like this if it’ll help grow my edges, but Emu also sounds like an animal. I don’t know if I could justify the killing of another being for hair growth. Please tell me this is plant derived, lol.

    • @AprilSunnyBeauty
      @AprilSunnyBeauty  2 года назад +1

      Great question! Yes, it's cruelty free. I'm sure others are wondering the same... I'll post it on the community page! Thank you 😊!

    The Original Gangster one ➡️Don’t forget the Lottabody Setting lotion, it’s a clear blue liquid. Makes hair Twice as thick and has style memory.
    I never saw the lottabody that you have. Thank you. They must have grown their line.

      That setting lotion has done my roller sets RIGHT since the 80's. An oldie but goodie.

    • @heatherelliott8246
      @heatherelliott8246 2 года назад +1

      Ladies, Lottabody setting lotion from back in the day made the hair tacky well STICKY…which made combing it much less fingering it make ur hair sound like the cereal RICE CRISPY (snap, crackle & pop)! Yes, I was 13 in 1980 & loved my bouncey blow dryed look back then!! The Lottabody was used as a roller set (again not my thing then) & it didnt bounce nor behave….then 3-5 years later DOUBY (sp) wrap came on the scene that made roller sets bounce BUT the Lottabody still felt tacky to my touch when I used it at home a few of my stylists liked the product. Yes, this is 35-40 years ago (I’m 54 years young!) & the product has probably changed some but I’m more than reluctant 2 risk my never before past my shoulder length hair w/ Lottabody. I bought 2 different kinds of rollers earlier this year once my hair was on my shoulders & I haven’t opened them yet!! I’ll find small bottles of setting lotions & mousse & share my findings. Lottabody?, really?

      It was used on me at the salon.
      And for low manipulation styles.
      Not comb and brush styles.
      ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
      Sunny likes braid-outs. A low manipulation style.
      LOTTA BODY setting lotion then hand Mixed with her moisturizer of choice, she would braid her hair. Her braid-out would be full
      And non-frizzy and bouncy and shiny. And then boooom ❤️.

      @@michelleclark8099 ohhh 😲! Gotcha Sis. U see I had it all wrong 😑!I thought we were talking about roller sets…basics at least. As I stated, I was reluctant but was going 2 try the product. NOW that I understand it’s 4 the braidout look that I love & rock myself…I’ll get a bottle & label it 4 braidouts only! My braid outs r w/ aloe Vera & it’s a 10. They dry out pretty quickly and I prefer 2 do them on a fresh relaxer…maybe Lottabody will help when I’m 6-8 wks post relaxer….maybe not since it makes the hair look thicker!! Thank u 4 sharing ur time & experiences & pointing out what I was missing!! Knowledge is power!

    Emu oil is the truth, I use to use it for sealing in the moisture in my hair, it made my hair feel so soft. The only reason I stopped is that it is expensive.

    I'm loving the hair, it looks gorgeous on you. I am a 4B/4C relaxed girl. I use the Luster's Pink shortlooks sassafraz quench moisture mist. I use that in combination with Maui moisture curl quench curl smoothie. It keeps my hair moisturized for like two weeks. It's an amazing combination. I hope this helps someone.

    Hey April, I have that very same Africa's Best moisturiser at the moment. To be honest, I use it only when my staple moisturiser (As I am so much moisture) has run out. It's ok, but I find it weighs my hair down if I use it too often. But that's just me. Lovely videos as always April!
