- We have been in a severe drought through here in Southern Missouri. We are changing things up to try and have enough fresh graze for them to get though summer.

T post clips
We used the Speedrite dual purpose pinlock insulator which we purchased at our local farm store.
Amazon didn’t have the exact clips we used, but these are similar.

Welcome to our Plan Bee! After 20 years of successful careers in the Los Angeles area we moved to rural Missouri and are taking steps to become more self-sustaining on our homestead. I break down all the farmy things into small manageable steps so you can start homesteading wherever you are.
We homestead on 2.5 acres in the Missouri Ozarks, and our garden hardiness zone is 6B.
Our weekly videos break down farming and gardening into small manageable steps so you can make the transition towards self sufficiency and food sustainability without being overwhelmed!
I garden in the Missouri Ozarks and am in hardiness zone 6B.

This last week we have gotten a couple good rains. We were so dry too. I hope you get rain soon. You two make me laugh.
I'm 72 and I remember when I was a child my grandparents would let the cows come into the yard and that was her yard mower and extra grass to eat
Yes, we can learn so much from those who’ve gone before us. 😊
We put our cows all around the yard. The less we have to cut so they can eat more! It helps that we sent one off to freezer camp as well.
Yep. It’s mutually beneficial!
Oh you funny pair. Hope you get a lot of continuous rain soon.
Two days of rain in the forecast. 🤞🏻
This drought is brutal, but we finally got about an inch two days this week for a total of 1.8 inches. Very thankful for that but more would be welcome.
2 days of rain in the forecast. 🤞🏻

Yes, people must finally realize that we are living in the END times, the 7year Tribulation with the world leader (Antichrist, 666) is right around the corner, that's GOD'S judgement upon all unbelievers! There is hope - get saved and be rapture ready: accept JESUS CHRIST as your Lord and Savior today!!! JESUS is GOD, see John 1!
Please study biblical end times prophecy; listen to Dr. Ron Rhodes on end times chronology.

Happy you got some rain. Lots of drought right down the middle of the usa. My other farm that I follow has two locations in Texas and both of them are droughted out and the ponds are just of a little puddle of algae. (Ima Survivor Sanctuary (Farm Animal Rescue) and Longhorn Lesters. All the animals there are pets not livestock so he Has to feed and water them). Lots of farms are selling off their animals early because they cannot afford to feed and water them. So tragic. I don't know how to figure the money hit, so I will just send up a prayer for everyone. I hope next summer is not so brutal. I am up in Seattle... I wish I could send you some weekly rain. 4 inches a week should do it. How about your pigs that I saw in the background? Now I will be worrying about your non-sweating pigs all day. Checking your other videos. I like your content, your face, your voice, your handyman (aka husband), the dog, your cows and that cute black calf. Have a great week.
Thank you so much for your kind comment! Our piggies are just fine. We fill their “Waller” daily and we also have a sprinkler that will run over their pen for two hours at a time a couple times a day.
Hi Lorella. Hang in there.
Thanks! We’ll make it.
When watering, I assume you are using your well. Are you concerned that the amount you use to water your pasture area could make your well run dry? Where I am in WNC, we have had rain every afternoon for about 10 days now. I can't keep up with the mowing. Wish I could send you some of ours.
Yes, we use our well. We are fortunate to have a well that was drilled deep but has a very high water table and fast refresh rate. We do make sure we have periods where the sprinklers aren’t running, to give the well a rest.
We also have a year round creek and are discussing ways we could get water from there if necessary, and want to put in some water catchment. All in good time. :)
