It's insane just how far above everyone else he is ; Ronaldo , Neymar , Bale , Hazard - he's lightyears ahead . I believe only Iniesta possesses the same kind of supernatural ability to see things no one else can see and almost slow down time on the ball - it's something you can't teach to anyone . What makes Messi so amazing is not only his incredible passing , mesmerising dribbling , pinpoint accurate shooting but his effortlessly small yet unbelievable movements while on the ball ; he twists and contorts his body in a way which shouldn't really be possible at the speed in which he does it . Not only is he physically gifted with incredibly low centre of gravity and balance only matched by Iniesta , he is mentally ahead of everyone in the game today : attackers , defenders and midfielders . He honestly is something other than human and truly is one of the most revolutionary people in modern history .

If I (as a football player) watch a video of Ronaldo or anyone else (even of Ronaldinho, who in his prime at Barca definitely was the most entertaining footballer in my opinion), I can always learn new tricks, steps or faints by watching replays or in slow motion. Watching Messi is different - the ball just seems to be glued to his shoes. I could watch so many clips of him doing what he does best over and over again - I still wouldn't have a clue how he did what he just did. For a footballer, Messi is both inspiring but sometimes even hard to watch - no matter how hard you try to comprehend Messi's movements, in the end you're just left in disbelief of what you saw this guy do.
Whereas most players bring out the same old bag of tricks and deploy them in standard ways, Messi plays with creative energy and laser focus in the moment. He is a Jedi footballer.

This little man is just from another dimension! Football is not played like this! He brings sa lot more that's different, to his game. There's also a lot of natural and spontaneous intelligence involved in his skill which doesn't come out planned or upon quick thinking, but just flows at the nick of the moment! He exactly knows what to do when and what to do to beat a player/players and he DOES it !! It's not just about being slim, short. There have been a lot of good players that can dribble well, some have had wonderful ball control being short with lower centre of gravity, slim and quick as well! Pele and Diego played against the fact that defenders could get THREE YELLOW CARDS. And if you ´ve seen matches from that era, the fouls were today´s red card. So, yeah everyone was less athletic, but Fifalona (just a joke, I´m a Barza fan) didn´t "protect" skillful players like they do nowadays. Also to keep in mind: the ball was a looot heavier, and the uniforms and shoes weren´t as good as they are today.
