    Seriously, listening to two grown men talk about their mental health in an open and honest way like this discussing medication, mania/highs lows, treatment etc. is greatly comforting. You can tell that there is alot of education and learning going on behind the scenes for them both. Thank you for being vulnerable in that way and on a large platform no less. Your comfortability with having discussions about mental health is a great example to lead by for all and especially for other men. Fousey has been through the ringer. He seems like a genuinely nice guy whose been humbled by his struggles - seriously wishing you all the best in your success Fousey! Family!

      Totally agree, however Ethan(Not Fousey) needs to realize that anti depressants aren’t meant to be taken all your life. When you break your arm, you don’t wear the cast all your life. You allow it to heal then remove it. So when your brain is broken, you put the cast on(anti depressants) and when it’s time to remove it, you remove it and your brain should be healed. If it isn’t, put the cast back on. But planning on staying on them forever will eventually do more harm than good. It’s been shown to reduce iq, gray matter and other cognitive functions. It is a drug after all. But in no way am I against them.

      @@vexial12 But depression isnt the same thing as having a hard time in your life. For some people, it's a chronic, lifelong struggle. It's not just breaking your arm.

    • @vexial12
      @vexial12 Год назад +5

      @@yveltalsea actually with several studies including a Harvard study that for some reason keeps deleting my comment when I link it(RUclips ugh) the studies have shown that depression is exactly like breaking a bone or tearing a muscle. You’re brain is a muscle, and when broken, it must be fixed. People live with all sorts of chronic illnesses. Life long even. Depression however is something we’ve cured with the technology and knowledge we currently have today. Those who do the proper treatment(such as anti depressants, exercise, dietary changes, etc) have shown a massive increase in improvement to genetically inherited depression. Very neat stuff if you look into it. I advocate for anti depressants but no drug is supposed to be taken for life. The effects are more harm than good. The brain requires sobriety. It’s non negotiable

    • @m.a.b.4104
      @m.a.b.4104 Год назад +9

      It is valid that if someone can avoid/reduce the many side effects from medication (while achieving good mental health) by reducing or not taking medication of course they should. But some people cannot maintain quality of life without medication including anti depressants. It varies greatly, from people who find help without medication to people who have to be medicated for life, which is why mental health awareness is so important, as well as getting the right help. Over medication in modern society is a legitimate issue, but if nothing else works medication saves lives.

    Had to run this one back twice. I didn’t know much of Fousey other than when H3 talked about him, or rather, reacted to clips of him, but THIS was so unexpected. I was captivated from the jump and really appreciated all his honesty. Especially in regards to him speaking on his addictions and recovery. I’m 11 years sober myself and hearing him speak so openly about his struggles and how he copes was just amazing! He shared a lot of things that were very personal and that a lot of people would consider shameful, but in recovery, sharing those stories is how we not only kill that shame, but also how we help fellow addicts find the strength to start or continue their own journey. I am also so freaking proud of Ethan for staying on the rails. I just, I’m just kinda speechless at this point. Homeboy definitely gained a new follower. G7, LFG!!

Working out literally saved my life too. I did Yoga everyday and felt my whole life shift. It’s an experience that made me who I am today and looking I wouldn’t change it for the world. My favorite interview from H3, I grew up watching fousey when I was a kid and now it all makes sense, he’s so inspirational for broken people, and love to see him grow.

    This interview was truly inspiring and authentic. There’s nothing more real than two people who’ve been through a lot coming together to have a talk about their experiences and being so open about it. FAMILY.
    Edit: PLEASE BRING FOUSEY BACK. He’s got some intriguing stories and impeccable story telling skills.

    Listening to his life as an addict makes me so happy to be in school to become a therapist with a addictions cert so I can help people just like him in my future. So happy he’s sober and understands his limits. Many people I’ve seen in internships are just like him and as a family I can speak and say we are all so beyond proud of him
    FAMILY ❤

      @@willyfistergash4514I dont know how anyone can watch this interview and not see that he’s clearly still manic and full of bs about his recovery. Nobody should be surprised by the recent s** trafficking airport incident given how he was acting in this interview, still admiring “drake was going to come”…

      Are u being sarcastic?? Everyone loves sex, it’s not brave that he’s a spoiled baby rich kid who’s parents babied him his whole life and that’s why he can’t handle the real world. Some people have real issues and I do believe Fousey has issues but sex is the least of his issues right now lol.

    I love you, ethan.. but I highly disagree with you saying that Fousey deserved the punch. Still, Fousey accepted your remark with grace and you still went ahead and said that he just got his ego hurt by the punch. I never liked Fousey but to give credit where it's due... he's showing a lot of growth, humility, and maturity here. Why are you giving Bryce a pass?? They were both wrong. I also don't think it was cool to push about Fousey's s*xuality. Whether he is or not, it's his own business and it's not cool to out someone. He doesn't owe you an answer.

    Not going to lie, this is one of THE most impactful and inspiring podcasts ive ever watched. Hands down. Both these men are true inspirations, especially Fousey. The way he is brutally open and honest reminds me so strongly of myself. Im working through similar addictions to the ones he talks about too, and its so tough. This is just so inspiring. All the credit to you both Ethan and Yousef.
    (Sidenote: Fousey’s life story is so sad too, but definitely the 2nd saddest in H3 podcast history after Bella Poarch… that Bella Poarch podcast almost made me cry, genuinely one of the saddest things I ever heard)

    My heart goes out to Fousey. As someone who struggles with emotional regularity, this hit home. He talks about everything really emotionally detached, and for me, this happens as a protective manner. I just really love Fousey in this interview. He has a real pure heart and seeing someone try this hard to save themselves, it warms my heart.
