Hey! Great to hear from you as always! 🙂 We hope you are well. Thank you very much! I'm definitely going to have to get that one printed 🙂 for the most part they aren't overly friendly. I think they are very used to people down there though 😂 We hope you've had a good Christmas! 🙂
Your channel is a beautiful discovery. Thank you for this stroll in this magnificent place. Your photos are fantastic. ❤ (trans goo) Belle Decouverte que votre chaine.Merci pour cette ballade dans ce lieu magnifique .vos clichers sont fantastiques.❤
Hey Josh, great video and I love the xpan field of view…..Looking for my own 6x7 Pentax so please keep them coming. Film photography keeps me motivated…. Especially medium and large format. Chris
Hello! Thank you very much! Oh nice, I hope you manage to find a nice one 🙂 they really are amazing bits of kit! I've become inseparable since owning mine 🙂 Great to hear from you! All the best
My best shots over the last year have all been panoramas (digital and infrared). I love panoramas because I firmly believe humans have panoramic vision (cause we have 2x eyes, and thereby 2x lenses side by side). We have super wide vision, yet at the same time we can "zoom in" on subjects. So I personally love combining a long focal length with a panorama, to get a similar effect to what I am seeing when I look at a scene.
Hey! That's a really interesting way of looking at it and I hadn't thought of that myself! I always tend to go with the wife for my panoramas but maybe I will have to try that! Thanks for reaching out and watching! It means a lot! All the best, happy new year to you! 😊
Thank you very much! Hopefully we will cross paths at some point then 🙂 please do say hello if you do ever see us out and about 🙂 oh nice! The horizonts are really interesting cameras 🙂
Well done guys! Another great video! Your X-pan photos in B+W are awsome. I look forward to the X-Pan in colour video. The location is full of photo opportunities and the shots you guys have taken are inspiring me to spend a bit less on hardware and more on travel :) Please keep up the excellent work! One quick question do you have a darkroom and an enlarger or are you excellent results achieved through Lightroom? ..... I look forward to your next episode. All the best!
Thank you very much! It's on the way! 😁I must admit that personally I much prefer the xpans in black and white. But the colour video was a lot of fun all the same! Ah I'm glad to hear that it's inspired you! 🙂 Travel is always the best way to spend your money in my opinion 😉 We have access to a darkroom and an enlarger. I haven't set my enlarger up for a long time however. But a lot of the shots are pretty much straight out of the camera with a little bit of finalising in lightroom 🙂 Really appreciate your comment and taking the time to watch! All the best, look forward to hearing from you again 🙂
really nice work guys! The shots look great in B&W, have you tried using infrared yet? Interesting to see the difference between pano's on a 6x7 and 6x9 camera, I'll have to try it again with my Fuji GSW690. I have recently experimented with an anamorphic lens on a 35mm SLR, it should produce a 2x1 image but haven't seen the results yet so no idea if i wasted a roll of film!
Hey Richard! Thank you very much! I haven't yet... But it's something we've talked about quite a lot! That will be a little project for the summer I think 👌 Oh nice that sounds interesting! You'll have to send some across on Instagram for us to have a look at if you get any results 🙂 would love to see them! Your work is always top shelf stuff 👌
Hey! I usually use my 55 which does help and creates a more cinematic feel in my opinion but it's not absolutely essential. You can still create good looking panoramics with most lenses. It all depends on the look you are going for as well 🙂 hope this helps! Thanks for watching
I thought someone might bring this up while I was editing. Originally we create it as an xpan 'hack' to use in medium format cameras for those that want the same results as the xpan but couldn't afford one. It's still not cheap but it's definitely a cheaper option. Other photographers I've spoken to call them xpans... But it's just kind of stuck since the 'xpan hack' video I guess 🤷🏻
@MakersTeleMark Crikey... This has really riled a couple of people up. No one is forcing you to watch my friend... 😂 What's wrong with the lav mic? Need something to pick my voice up that's better than the on board mic on my camera. Have a good one.
Really excellent photographs, but please call them Panoramas or Panoramic not X-Pans, X-Pan was a camera, which was made by Fuji and sold as the TX1 and TX2 in the far east
We are aware don't worry. I wondered who would bring this up while editing. A while back we made a video on this which was an 'xpan hack' for people to get the same results as an xpan but in medium format cameras and it just kind of stuck. 🤷🏻 I know a few others that call them xpans. I know it's a camera... No biggy 😂
Nice shots, you two! I especially love that homestead around the 11’ mark and those foxes! Had no idea foxes were so people friendly.
Hey! Great to hear from you as always! 🙂 We hope you are well.
Thank you very much! I'm definitely going to have to get that one printed 🙂 for the most part they aren't overly friendly. I think they are very used to people down there though 😂

Awesome video!
Thank you bro! 🤙
Love this video. Your first xpan video was the one that introduced me to panoramic photography with the Pentax 67.
Hey! Thank you very much 🙂
How have you been getting on with it? Have you managed to get out for some xpans at all yet? 🙂
Great to hear from you!
Beautiful, keep them coming!
Thank you very much! We definitely will do 😁

Very beautiful, especially the shot with the light house in the window.

Amazing vid, as always. Really appreciate your work.

I really enjoyed this vid :-) Thanks Josh 🙂
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it! 🙂
I think more of these videos would be good thanks
Say less... More will be in the works very soon! 🙂 Thank you!
Nice video! I have dabbled with x-pan a little bit with a Horseman 6x9 roll film back. Your videos have inspired me to give it another try.
Thank you very much! Oh nice! You'll get some lovely xpans out of that for sure 👌
I'm glad it's inspired you! I hope you enjoy it 🙂
Superb! More please.
Thank you! We will get to work on the next ones 🙂

This was lovely, so inspired to get in Xpan photography. Keep these coming!
You should give it a try over on the ouse valley. Get some big landscapes in from Caburn.
The viaduct would look great on xpan! 🙂

Nice work guys . I shoot all over Romney marsh using an old Russian 35mm Horizont camera among other things.
Thank you very much! Hopefully we will cross paths at some point then 🙂 please do say hello if you do ever see us out and about 🙂 oh nice! The horizonts are really interesting cameras 🙂

Nice work. Do you have a video on your technique?

Pentax 67/Rollei Superpan 200/Rollei Retro 80S, my favourite medium format B&W combinations.
Great shots, love panos. What lens are you using? I have a 55mm but thinking about something wider for 6x7 panos ? Thanks
Thank you! 🙂 I use the 55 for my xpans, it's plenty wide enough for these sorts of shots and is such a cracking lens!! 🙂
All the best!
👍
Sorry if I missed it in the video, but what focal length did the lens have? Panoramic cameras don't need super wide lenses per se, do they?
Hey! I usually use my 55 which does help and creates a more cinematic feel in my opinion but it's not absolutely essential. You can still create good looking panoramics with most lenses. It all depends on the look you are going for as well 🙂 hope this helps! Thanks for watching
since when were panoramas called Xpans? Xpan is a model which came out well after panoramas were a thing.
He's the only one in the world who calls them that. It's quite humorous. Along with the lav mic setup.
I thought someone might bring this up while I was editing. @@OnlyAnalogue It didn't stick. I've been running 35mm through my 6x9 since you were born.
@MakersTeleMark Crikey... This has really riled a couple of people up.
No one is forcing you to watch my friend... 😂
What's wrong with the lav mic? Need something to pick my voice up that's better than the on board mic on my camera. Have a good one.
Good for you man 👍
Really excellent photographs, but please call them Panoramas or Panoramic not X-Pans, X-Pan was a camera, which was made by Fuji and sold as the TX1 and TX2 in the far east
Don't call it XPAN unless you use a Hasselblad... This is however nice, panoramic. in no way Xpan.
Not another Leica story.
????
Xpan is a model of camera… panoramic photos are just called panoramas
We are aware don't worry. I wondered who would bring this up while editing.
