Bill Ruppert is phenomenal. Check out his rendition of " No Quarter " - I'm still mesmerized - years later. All of his Demo's are world-class. oNe LovE from NYC
I've been buying effects since 1978/9. I always come back to EHX. Original, creative, innovative. They've been the bulk of my boards for years and the stuff they're putting out now at the price points they offer is unbelievable. Thank you Mike Matthews!
2 tunes from Discipline in 1 demo? Heaven! I've been buying EHX pedals since the late 70s. My absolute favorite is the original Clone Theory. Takes up massive amounts of real estate but nothing quite sounds as good...especially on bass. I think I can now retire those old Clones. Thank you!
Kinda wish I waited a few more months before I bought my JHS 3 series chorus/vibrato. This is the same price, does so much more, and has amazing artwork.
I started off thinking “well, EHX has finally made a pedal I have no interest in...” .... until it reached the 2:00 mark in the video... 😮 this thing sounds amazing going through a Big Muff... I’m sold! and the 4:00 mark... beautiful 👌
Loved that, sounded like Bill Rupert was channeling some Neal Schon/Journey (“Only The Young” or “Be Good To Yourself”). Just awesome music, great sounds!
That sounds good. I have a feeling we will be getting a lot of these $99 feature-packed pedals from now, to counter cheaper (but not necessarily bad) pedals that keep popping up.
damn EHX, just when i thought modulation stompboxes were obsolete, you pull me back in! the waveform knob is genius, and the silent momentary switching... damn!
Just sold a Phase 90 and wanted better modulation... found it for barely more. great demo, great pedal. Resisted the urge to go to the stereo chorus/flange... I have too many of those big box units with too many controls so you can never find That Sound again. This is perfect.
Glad I checked this demo, especially at 6:37. I had my rate knob down to zero, left the tone at 12 o'clock, and the depth to full. I definitely have to try the setting you have!
I bought this peddle a few weeks ago, randomly, without having ever heard it, or knowing what it was from a local music store going out of business. Amazing buy mucho reccomendos lol
I’m not a guitarist but I gotta tell you this thing sounds like a million bucks! I know this guitarist has everything to do with how it sounds because he’s a master. If you are a guitarist you’d be a fool not to own one of these
Remarkable tones, fantastic Demo and Playing Bill - as ever! That’s what I love about these newer technologies, I can enjoy and love Demos like this far away here in Germany. Seems to be a well thought out and very versatile unit - typical EHX. I ask myself how close you can get to a "only" UniVibe Pedal like the Fulltone ones...Someone any suggestion/experience or even some settings on Eddy? I will definitely test it out. Cheers from Germany
I would like to hear more magnatone style vibrato examples. We also can't see the settings for that "magna vibe" :P (The price seens great, my chorus needs are already covered I just want a good vintage amp like vibrato) thanks
Great pedal, only thing that really annoys me is that the blue led constantly blinks even when the pedal isn't turned on. Only way to make it stop is to remove the adapter
Big Bad Bill: IDK if you're still reading comments, but if so, can you do a fan a solid and tell me what flavor Duncans you have in your RG? I have a Genesis RG550 and it's a great guitar, but the stock pickups are seriously lackluster. Another great product demo, BTW. EHX is lucky to have you.
Thanks Vic! I use the USA Dimarzio/IBZ pickups. I love them in the RG's. Strong and pedal steel like in the bridge and very clean in the neck position. How high the are set make a big difference. I have used many pickups in my life and right now I love these.
@@EHX Thank you, sir. They (you) really sound killer. Looks like I'm due for a new pair of reading glasses, because through my fuzzy eyeballs it looked like the pickups were marked 'Seymour Duncan'. LOL. I've been putting Duncans in my Les Pauls pretty much since Seymour and Cathy started selling pickups to us mortals (which explains the poor eyesight). But the RG is kind of an outlier for me and I've been on the fence about which way to go with aftermarket pickups. Looks like I'll have to start combing Reverb/Ebay for a used set since DiMarzio doesn't sell them as replacements. Thanks, again! P.S. - Next time I'll ask you if Bryan Ferry is really as suave as he looks. LOL.
Bill got Mel9 and Grand Canyon but obtained now Vol / pan and next step Expression got 2 orange amp for rig about have some fun panning Melletron Chords around room
I know this is a channel of ehx but I tried looking if Bill Ruppert had his own video channel but no luck. I wanted to reach out to him and ask what model Ibanez purple quilted 2 octave electric guitar that is. Can anyone help me???
Eddy Current The term eddy current comes from analogous currents seen in water in fluid dynamics, causing localised areas of turbulence known as eddies giving rise to persistent vortices. Somewhat analogously, eddy currents can take time to build up and can persist for very short times in conductors due to their inductance.
@@EHX Thanks, I didn't know that areas of turbulence were called eddies in english, (never heard this word before but I am french) I've just checked the origin of this common noun in a dictionary and it comes from scandinavian. Yes, for a pedal name EDDY sounds better than "Small Whirlwind" ! :-)
No one does better demos. Bill’s playing is obviously incredible. But he is also peerless in understanding how and when to apply effects. Those skills don’t come with the pedal. 😂
The fact that this pedal nails those 80’s King Crimson sounds makes me want it even more.
If only I could play 80s crimson 😂
@odysseyandecho right!?
I don't remember ever getting chills from an effects box demo before. Wow, Bill Ruppert.
What a nice thing to hear from the great inventor Julia Truchsess! Thank you Bill
Huge respect going on both sides here, I love that.
The sheltering sky! This guy is the best
Imo it sounded better on the ehx canyon demo
Yes!
This is a VB2 killer. Love how they add expression pedal compatibility to everything now.
Bill Ruppert is phenomenal. Check out his rendition of " No Quarter " - I'm still mesmerized - years later. All of his Demo's are world-class. oNe LovE from NYC

Bill is a true master of his craft. He makes the best videos. I wonder if he has his own channel
You realise you've been listening to BIll most of your life. TV/Radio commercials, countless songs, he's played on a lot of stuff.
* goes to see if it'll fit on the already over-stuffed pedalboard
Superb demo as always Bill.
EHX make great products. Their sound, quality, and inventiveness are top notch. They make the pedal market more competitive for sure.
That “hold down the switch” function is clever!
Just when I thought I had every pedal I need, this comes along. Love the playing Bill Rupert.

Great price too! I’m done with crazy ‘boutikie’ astronomical pedal prices for the rich! Thanks EHX
EHX and Boss have never been surpassed, still kings.
Great! All we need now is a good Electric Mistress remake =]
There is one!
@@canyondonkI think they mean a reissue that is faithful to the original 70s flangers.

The backing track and jam starting around 1:55 slaps 🔥
Loved that, sounded like Bill Rupert was channeling some Neal Schon/Journey (“Only The Young” or “Be Good To Yourself”). Just awesome music, great sounds!
Great demo and guitar playing. This pedal could be a good alternative to the poly-chorus and small clone chorus to get those Nirvana sounds.
I like EHX's pedals all right, but I watch this stuff because of the fantastic playing.
Vill Ruppert is a smoking hot guitarist, wow, thats some effortlessly tasty chops, bravo.
That sounds good. I have a feeling we will be getting a lot of these $99 feature-packed pedals from now, to counter cheaper (but not necessarily bad) pedals that keep popping up.
That makes a lot of sense, now that you mention it.
Amazing how they found a way for me to want another pedal on my pedal board so badly. Just, wow!
i was posting on reddit a few months ago on a thread asking for a deluxe small stone, so yea this is awesome :)
damn EHX, just when i thought modulation stompboxes were obsolete, you pull me back in! the waveform knob is genius, and the silent momentary switching... damn!
There's a modulation revival of sorts among several British jazz guitarists. Check out Oscar Jerome, Puma Blue, Mansur Brown...
Loved the King Crimson parts of the demo there.

Why on earth has EHX still not made a nano size Pulsar tremolo?? I’ve been waiting years!
You never know !
Right after they update the Deluxe Memory Man to have full midi control.
In case you hadn’t seen it already, they now have :)

Before delay and reverb.
Can this pedal do everything Mod Rex can? Or does this one do more as far as vibrato and chorus?
This does vibrato and chorus with envelope and Exp pedal control of depth or speed
