Some sponges (in the phylum of Porifera) have spicules that help provide a sort of structural purposes, along with defending against predators for how spiky spicules are. The members that don't have spicules (The ones we usually extract for typical usage) do at least have spongin, which also help provide a structural support that you could call a skeleton.
