- Judy Garland is remembered as one of Hollywood's greatest entertainers. In 1939, 17-year-old Garland starred in MGM's "The Wizard of Oz," the movie that made her a household name. Over the next decade, Garland starred in a number of MGM productions before being fired in 1950. Garland's personal life included five marriages, a slew of successful comebacks and a few near-death experiences. This is an old vhs copy. Some people are complaining (Karens) about the quality. If you only have negative comments then don’t comment. Judy doesn’t deserve it. She put up with enough negative people in her life time. Let’s just celebrate her and the beauty she gave us. Please respect her memory.
There is not or has been another one like her. I am 62 and she is in a class of her own.
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes I'm the same age.
If anything I respect Judy Garland's humanity...... I wonder if she ever knew how deeply loved she really was by everybody...... Just like Elvis Presley Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin....... She seems mystically connected to some higher beneficent power.... God bless you Miss Judy❤!
The drugs truly aged her, she looked like she was 67 and not 47 when she died
I second that!
@@J5321-mb5dd The most important take away after watching this
Let’s forget about her many heartaches and try to remember her incredible accomplishments and greatness that can only be achieved by Judy Garland.
I always loved Judy garland My favorite film wizard of oz.
I remember watching this back in 2001 when it premiered on E! To this day, other than Me and My Shadows, this is the best bio documentary on Garland to have ever been done.
Thank you Lord for Judy.❤
The only singer that still makes me weep…..😭 JUDY WHY WHY?? YOUR CHOREOGRAPHY WAS AWESOME TRULY ENTERTAINER OF THE WORLD!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So sad what happened to Judy. She was so talented.
`I wonder if her precious mother ever realized the immense harm her raw ambition and greed caused her. Mommy dearest at its "best".
Loved this lady
This is the best documentary I've seen on Judy Garland
Thank you for posting this. A true inspiration and legend. Her songs and movies will live forever. RIP SWEET JUDY
When I hear "Over The Rainbow" with Judy Garland, you can feel the emotion in the song, it touches you really deep. No other entertainer can do the same if they sang that song, not even Rufus Wainwright, not Ella Fitzgerald, not even pop artist of today. The song belongs to Judy.
This is very interesting. There's a book by Mel Torme, The Other side of the Rainbow: With Judy Garland on the Dawn Patrol, that is well worth reading
Whassup? I’ll need to find that sounds cool.thanks!😊
I have this book. "The Other Side of the Rainbow with Judy Garland on the Dawn Patrol". Written by Mel Torme'. Good reading.

She tried to find the rainbow but she couldn't
Taking her baby like that was probably really tough on her. Should have let her keep the baby!❤

She was to cute as a child. Reminds me of my 6 yr old granddaughter.😊
I was 2 when she passed away but she is still my favorite 💓 The wizard of OZ and all the movies with Mackey Rooney was a solid part of my childhood. Still love her and watch her every chanceI get ❤

Where may I find this gorgeous, color silent movie footage of Judy's big night at Carnegie Hall? I would like to see the footage in its entirety, please.
Dam rip Dorthy she made me cry at the end of the wizard of oz every time 🤣😴❤️
Thank you for posting. This was quite good.
You're welcome
Judy ❤
❤❤❤
She also was taken advantage of by agents husband as well.
Hollywood made millions b off of her her husbandvreally blew her money away and she wasn't protected by them not paying her taxes. Very very sad. But we must remember her as the celebrity she was. Years of pressure would have made any one mad. 😮💨
Did the three Gumm sisters stay in touch as adults and throughout their lives?
She was purely a Victim of her Time
And her mother's raw ambition.
Somewhat.
Hollyweird hasn’t changed much, the drugs maybe …….
Rejection that scars a soul begins in the womb. Opens the door to demons to torture the person all their life unless one gets a soul healing deliverance, which is rare. Rejection is the enemy spirit of humanity and we ( sometimes ) cause it on others too,,,,even if not trying to with evil intent, ,,,its evil.
I was 9…😮
