thanks for the very straigtforward info, really glad i found your channel . It unfortunate that the prices are so incredibly high and this is obviously going to be a barrier for any IMG.
Thank you so much for uploading this video . It’s well researched and extremely helpful
Thank you for the extremely kind words! 🧡
This is literally the most informative video out there on youtube for IMGs. Thankyou so so much! Good Job
That's so kind of you. 😊

Thank you Harsh. I hope now you'll make an informed choice of pursuing MLE.
Great video! However, I have a question. In order to get the programs that will start in at least January 2021, Would we have to start the application by June 2020? Or are they’re not opening the application recently?
That is normally the case. There are no openings currently unfortunately. :(
Hello, we'd want you to do a detailed video on how can your step one score be helpful in matching for which residency program you are applying to.what are the possibilities of matching into gynae obs residency in US for an IMG?
I'll try, one day surely! 🧡
Great video. Can u kindly explain how students from colleges affiliated to VSLO get selected? Like the college shortlists them or is their some sort of evaluation?
They get approved with subject to availability and first come first serve basis. There isn't any other stringent rule. VSLO is down this year and for a greater part of next year unfortunately due to Covid.
Hey,
So the guidelines have changed of quite a few universities you listed in this video. Like Harvard and Cornell need VSLO.
Could you please make aa video for the updated list?
when we should pay the tuition fee?
while we apply or when we go to us?
Heyy, I know you from bal Bharati public school, rohini
I’m a medical student too
Great video
Would love to get in touch with you
How is the visa interview like. How do you prove funding for the USCE
Doctor when I checked on the Weil Cornell website, they state that they accept students only thru VSLO. Does that mean we have to email them like Yale ? Can you please clarify. Thank you.
Hey, thank you for the Question. Weill Cornell accepts 'International Students' outside VSLO. Check this link:

Great video bro..
I have 2 questions plz
The first.. I'm 5th year medical student from egypt.. I have step 1 score 253 and planning to take toefl soon ..my qs is what are programs that accept img apart from VSLO with step 1 ? I know cleveland clinic and Mayo clinic but when i checked it again i found that mayo clinic has started accept student through vslo ..so is there any other programs??
My second qs.. how much fees in dollar needed to be paid by my faculty to be VSLO member ? Does it cost much for the first registration?
There's a whole bunch of places that accept students without VSLO. It's all a click away. I'll urge you to search for it and you'll find it really easily. There are multiple blogsites. You can try this website www.doctorsebas.com/.
Regarding applying for VSLO, I'm sorry I'm not able to remember the amount. I'm busy with step prep right now and want to make a detailed video on this as soon as I get time.
Test assured, VSLO should be used by students who don't have Step 1 yet, you can find hundreds of opportunities without VSLO if you have step score.
Good video.
Thanks a lot! 🧡
Can you plzz make the video that what r the steps to register international medical colleges Under VSLO?... Thank you!!
Sure, that has been on my priority list. Subscribe to receive the notification.

Sir can i select my electives month..?? Suppose i want to do electives in January and February.. Can i do it?? Sir
Hey Swagota! Colleges don't accept applications for January mostly. You need to login to their respective websites and select from the slots they have provided and not what you would want. February and onward is usually available in almost all institution.
Hi, apart from UAB , stay fees are not included, is that right? So, does only UAB provide for stay while others are not. So must one find for the stay himself?
Thank you in advance!
True. Others provide help with accommodation and sometimes a good tour with your co-students of the city, the stores etc.
@@ROADTORESIDENCY So how much more will the accommodations cost?
I'm guessing anywhere around $ 1-1.5K including food travel etc.
How is ur study going sir
U are one of my inspiration for usmle ☺🙏🙏👍
Pretty slow Hardik. Slowers than I would want.
@@ROADTORESIDENCY all the best sir ☺
@@ROADTORESIDENCY u will definitely succeed 👍👍
Thank you for the extremely kind words Hardik!
Is he sitting for the step one?
Hello Sir, If my med school is not registered with AAMC is there any way to get it registered?
Your med school should be included in the world directory of Medical school. Check this link out:
www.wdoms.org/
If it's included in this directory. You need open the website for VSLO and mail them with regards to registering your college with VSLO program. They'll then get in touch with the Admin office of your college and a bilateral exchange of info will start. There is a yearly recurring fees that maybe you will have to pay if your college denies to pay it. Since I'm from India, a middle income country, we were asked to pay a yearly recurring fees of INR 60,000. And my college denied putting in a penny. 😅
@@ROADTORESIDENCY Thank you Sir!
Sir how much chances to get in a internal medicine electives without help of agencies?? I think it is much costly.. if I clear my 1st step and TOEFL exam then how much is chances for getting accpect at low cost?
Hey Swagota ! I don't think anyone can provide you with a percentage probability of scoring an elective at a place. But after giving Step 1 and TOEFL, since you increase the window of places you could apply to, the chances of getting into a place increases.
About saving money in Electives, you will need to personally visit these websites to see how much they charge for a 4 week rotation and then apply to those programs only which favor your budget.
The problem with applying with agencies is not that they are costly (because Electives usually cost the same) but the the experience you have there. You can read multiple testimonials online saying people didn't have a good experience working with preceptors from these agencies.
That being said, a majority percentage of students apply without agencies so you definitely land in the >50% arm.
@@ROADTORESIDENCY thank you so much sir
It's so shocking that so many colleges are going under VSLO....
Unfortunately yes. :(

Thank you! 🧡
Sir i am a bangladeshi medical student.. Can i do my electives in the break Between the final exam and starting of my internship??
Yes you can ! 🧡
Apply 6-8 months before though.
@@ROADTORESIDENCY sir i mean to say after my final exam and before starting internship
You can do your Electives at that time. Your internship will start and you'll have to take an extension. You would also need to complete your paperwork in your forth proff .
Plzz sir Inform me. I need a clear information about this matter.
