  • Many of the channel members have asked me for my opinions after fitting a 19 tooth front sprocket to my Royal Enfield 500 Bullet. In this video I am taking you with me on a ride to see how it performs. I will be riding up steep hills, through heavy town traffic and finally a speed run, out on the open road.

Excellent, it's one of the mods I'm looking forward to doing to my recently acquired Classic 500.

Thank you for this video, very helpful indeed, especially the tip about the oil pump o ring seal. I have a 19 tooth sprocket, but I thought I'd wait until it's time to replace the chain. I am also intending to fit a Carberry vibration reduction plate so I'll do it all as one job. I know it is normal for these old girls to vibrate a bit, but it does vary from bike to bike. For instance my 2014 Classic 500 doesn't vibrate nearly as much, so I thought the Carberry might be a good move? If you're interested I'll report back after I've fitted it. Apologies for bombarding you with so many comments at once, I've just clicked on you channel for the first time in a while and you just happen to be covering topics that are highly relevant to me and my Royal Enfields, so cheers for that much appreciated. I've subscribed and I'm just about to buy you a couple of coffees, cheers, Felix 🙂

I would be very interested to hear from you. I am going to do a video on how to stop the vibration in the bars and cutting out a lot of the vibration from the engine by fitting metal/rubber washers to all engine mounts. My bike at first was terrible giving me pins and needles in my hands and feet. Now I don't get any vibration in the bars and don't have heavy weights on the bar ends. I only get a very slight vibration in the foot rests now.

Long stroke engine with huge flywheels gives a sweet snatch free ride. I think you've found yourself a lovely example mate

G’day Ian, I’ve been looking forward to the 500 runout, I’m assuming this run has all the engine & frame mods completed… looks good, sounds superb, it seems to torque up & power on effortlessly with 19 tooth.. I don’t think you could expect much more increase in performance from the 500 without increasing cc.. as you know I own a 2006 bullet iron barrel 500 with a 19 tooth from original 17 tooth.. I’m more than happy with the increase in 5th gear touring speeds of 90-100 klm/h from original 80 klm/h top speed.. you should be very pleased with the 500 bullet ..💯well done.. Phil 🇦🇺

Deine Bullet fährt sehr schön, ist es 5 Gang? Nun hast du dich für die braune Sitzbank entschieden ? Wieviel PS hat sie original ?

It has 5 gears. It originally had 27 hp but with the decat pipe, fuel module and DNA air filter it does improve performance. I am having the original seat recover in brown. At the moment I am using the aftermarket seat while it is being done.

I bought the fuel module from the USA. It took some finding and unfortunately I can't remember the name of the place I bought it from. If you do a google search for Pro Mod fuel module you should be able to find one.
