It still feels so real and unreal at the same time to know that she's gone, the girl who has full of energy in every video of hers is gone. I only discovered her after she passed away like 2 years later and I still rmb going from 'wow this girl is so talented I gotta check her out' to 'wait what she passed away??'. The transition happened so quickly in a single day that I actually realized something. If someone dear to you is going to die, you're not gonna get a notice in advance, its just gonna happen so suddenly that you'd wished that you treated them better before they're gone. As for Christina, I sure wished I could've discovered her way earlier. All sadness aside, I really love the part she sang at 3:17 . It's supposed to be a melody full of energy and unwillingness to bow down but she sang it in such a beautiful yet tragic tone. I kept replaying that part cuz I cant get over it lol

maybe, I mean of course I like to believe that, she is or was I guess sigh... one of if not the most talented singers I have ever had the pleasure of listening too, but here is the thing the music industry if you look at many of the people who top the charts they are not the most talented at all. They get to the top by singing stuff that is catchy etc, and Grimmie did not want to do that... if I can recall what she said properly "those songs are fun and all but I want to sing about stuff that matters". **edit I also believe that is why she had a hard time getting signed, yes she got many offers that she turned down, it could be the terms of the contracts would make her neglect or even stop doing youtube covers etc... or maybe they would force her to sex herself up we will never know. What matters more is she had a fanbase that she cared about and that cared about her in return, very few of the top people in the industry have that relationship with their fans.

I remember my grandpa saying that the greatest lights always go out first. I didn’t know what he meant until Tupac and other of my favorite rappers have passed away.... and know I really know what he means..... and I never knew this girl until now and I told myself “Damn she’s amazing!” I then searched up her name on RUclips and found out that she got gunned down. Fuck I miss her. I found her within a day of her posting her second ever cover on RUclips. She saved my life as a kid. I kept thinking that if she could be so strong and sweet that maybe I had a chance too. I'd give it all up if she could still be around to inspire more kids to keep existing. i’m 18 now and i remember back in elementary i used to come to her channel everyday and listen to her belt amazing songs like this. i used to get bullied so coming here i felt so safe. rewatching this now, makes me feel that same safety it’s crazy. she truly deserved so much better.

You have always been an inspiration, and it actually got kind of hard to revisit your content for a while, because of everything that happened... It still feels so real and unreal at the same time to know that she's gone, the girl who has full of energy in every video of hers is gone.
I only discovered her after she passed away like 2 years later and I still rmb going from 'wow this girl is so talented I gotta check her out' to 'wait what she passed away??'. The transition happened so quickly in a single day that I actually realized something. If someone dear to you is going to die, you're not gonna get a notice in advance, its just gonna happen so suddenly that you'd wished that you treated them better before they're gone. As for Christina, I sure wished I could've discovered her way earlier.
All sadness aside, I really love the part she sang at 3:17 . It's supposed to be a melody full of energy and unwillingness to bow down but she sang it in such a beautiful yet tragic tone. I kept replaying that part cuz I cant get over it lol

maybe, I mean of course I like to believe that, she is or was I guess sigh... one of if not the most talented singers I have ever had the pleasure of listening too, but here is the thing the music industry if you look at many of the people who top the charts they are not the most talented at all. They get to the top by singing stuff that is catchy etc, and Grimmie did not want to do that... if I can recall what she said properly "those songs are fun and all but I want to sing about stuff that matters".
**edit I also believe that is why she had a hard time getting signed, yes she got many offers that she turned down, it could be the terms of the contracts would make her neglect or even stop doing youtube covers etc... or maybe they would force her to sex herself up we will never know. What matters more is she had a fanbase that she cared about and that cared about her in return, very few of the top people in the industry have that relationship with their fans.

Still grieving... She had such an impact on me as a person growing up. I've been crying a lot recently over her, it just breaks my heart thinking about what happened and how much love she put out into the world. She didn't deserve this. I hope her and her mom are at peace reunited with eachother. She will never be forgotten, at least by me. She still lives on though every soul she's touched with her light.

I found her within a day of her posting her second ever cover on RUclips. She saved my life as a kid. I kept thinking that if she could be so strong and sweet that maybe I had a chance too. I'd give it all up if she could still be around to inspire more kids to keep existing.
Instead, I'll listen to her for the rest of my life and remember that I'm here because of her, even if she never knew me, and I'll make my being around something she could take pride in.
