I come back to Christina's music pretty often. Her presence is still felt. It's hard to describe, but despite it being years since her tragic murder, her spirit was and is so *alive* - gone too young and yet left the world with such a gift.
I just love the stage presence of Christina Grimmie! She always knew how to move to the music. Whether it was head, shoulders, arms, feet. She always had a natural unchoreographed way of moving to the music. That and her incredible vocals and adorable looks and personality makes her one of my favorite Voice contestants ever...RIP Christina. Forever in our hearts...

no its most def a stylistic choice from what i can tell. her voice would go well with rock instrumentals and it doesnt sound forced. i do think christina has a liddol more control over her voice but both of them aren't forcing their voice and their techniques sound healthy

I idolized Christina ever since her piano and singing RUclips videos. When she was on the voice I was so proud because she deserved all of the success that came with it. Christina would have won that season if she didn’t do that Elvis song for her mom in the finals. She was by far the best Voice that entire season. As someone who trains vocally, I would say Christina has better control over her vocal range because she can sing in chest, mixed, and head voice very proficiently. Not to say Sam isn’t a great vocalist, she just sang primarily in her chest voice this round and since chest voice is limited, the range she displayed in this performance wasn’t as much as Christina’s. But the tone and quality of her chest voice is beautiful, and I’m sure if she has trained to become more confident with her chest, mixed, and head voice, she would sound absolutely incredible. You can kind of see what I’m talking about at 0:57, Sam sings then Christina sings the same melody, and Sam’s just sounds tougher than Christina’s because she has less mastery over her vocal registers. And Christina sings it so fluidly... but they still both sound great, one has just trained more than the other. But in the span of this single performance, I would’ve chosen Christina also, just because she displayed more versatility due to her vocal proficiency. RIP Christina Grimmie :(
