In this review, I'll explore the key features of the SK1, a printer that stands out in the fast-evolving 3D printing landscape. We'll look at its impressive core XY structure, known for stability and precision, making it ideal for intricate projects.

Love the Cnc from 2 trees.. A few simple upgrades (router)made it amazing.
I believe CNC Kitchen has a video on how to isolate vibration, basically using a concrete paver and some some thick foam. Foam goes on table, concrete paver goes on foam, printer goes on concrete block, and is maybe strapped to it. Then the printer has to shake a 40lb block of concrete, and the foam isolates it from the table, and house, so it's quiter, no sound resonance, and you get a more stable printer.
Few key points, but you may be the type to test it as assembled because customers may do that. But you really should do a full inspection of all screws, belt tension, etc, before you even turn the printer on, or remove the rail locks that are on the printer as shipped.
The print head, and gantry are all hard locked with a couple of braces you had to unscrew in order to be able to print, and you should check your belt tension and equalize it, before you even unscrew and free your gantry.
It would be nice if TwoTrees mentioned that. And it should be common sense, but I have watched thousands of 3d print videos, and almost no one covers belt tension, how to check it, how to adjust it.
Yes I believe I watched this a while ago and didn’t remember the foam! Very interesting indeed. I must try it out 🤩🤩
Regarding belt tension, I will try and mirror the tension from my Bambu and see if there is any difference, however this will require me to disassemble the extruder… I pretty happy where it’s at from the box and might hold off from tensioning until I’m confident that there is no more software tweaks to be made. Thanks for your great insight 🤩🤩
I finally got my SK1 video published. I think you did a good job, and I want to make a note that a lot of (or all) the software issues have been corrected
Well done on your video @ThePrintHouse ! Great job 👏 Thanks for letting me know about the software, I’ll tinker this week 🤩
Extra weight at the bottom? Unlikely, i think it's just bottom heavy by design because that's where power elecrtronics and the Z powertrain lives.
TT was previously known as Tevo and gained a pretty horrible reputation for itself; but it's since evolved a lot. Two of the people i knew at Geeetech work there now.
I wonder if the HGX gears are well axis supported in the extruder. Creality K2 has a flaw there that the axis just start flopping around and the extruder gears start misbehaving in all sorts of ways.
Overpriced for what it is, and for that print quality. That printer should be under $300-$400 for it to make any sense in the current market. You are better off buying a Bambu P1P since you can add the AMS down the road.
Overpriced? 😂 it’s $439 on their website with code NBSK. I don’t see how they could price it any cheaper and still give free shipping.
But the P1P is also closed off so there is also 0 things you can do to it . I woud say it makes more sens to get the new sovol 008 you get a big volume for a great price .
Can I install multi-color printing here ?
Can I install multi-color printing here ?
I don’t believe that the sk1 has a dedicated multi-color option at this stage!
what kind of nozzles does this use ?
Great question. I’m not sure exactly, however I would assume it’s the same as Bambu CHT nozzle.
I already had a Two Trees (Sapphire Plus) so I never wanted to have another one again (you spend a lot to improve it).
I've had a bamboo for almost a year now and the only concern I have is what to print.
True bed level
it's like p1p with extra sim
Why no enclosure for this printer?
Very bad review blurred shots why? Does it print that bad?
Thanks for your feedback! Sorry for the over exposed shots. I hadn’t noticed until uploaded. Print quality is pretty good, however room for improvement most definitely 👍
@@NEWTechCreative Better hardware does not result in better quality? How come? This is bambulab clone but does not even print at same quality?
Great question. This is not a clone of a Bambu product. Yes it using coreXY similar to the p1p and x1 family, however also similar to many other machines well before Bambu became popular. I think it’s best to compare this to a creality K1 for its similarity with klipper- however I only have a Bambu x1C to compare to. With further development of the firmware and settings on the SK1 I believe that these will enhance print quality dramatically!
@@NEWTechCreativeThen perhaps it has 3x Z motors and can level the build plate like it should?
Just looks like a lower tier, more shoddy p1p clone. Not trying to raise the bar at all. Still zero reason to go with this over a p1p/p1s. Appreciate the review and the work that went into it! As others said, better shots of prints and non-white filament. Cheers!
So many people saying bambu clone, like they never saw a corexy machine before, and maybe they haven't because for whatever reason, they saw all the bambu adds and that was there first exposure.. Calling Bambu the apple of 3d printing is more accurate than I think people actually realized.
I love the artistic lighting in your videos, but during close-ups, it's hard to see clearly and the white filament hides a lot.
Thanks for your feedback! Definitely keep it in mind for next time 🤩
How is the real printable size? Two Trees used far off values in the past 😀
Great question. The printable area is correct, however doesn’t have additional space beyond the area, so if you need an additional few mm to travel, you will clip the side.

Еще один сырой принтер, но ему это не простительно, цена слишком высока для этого. К1 лучше по соотношению цена-качество-возможности.
