This looks like a nice machine. I wonder how much quieter the printer would be if it were enclosed? And enclosing the printer would make it able more able to print higher temperature filaments (ABS, ASA, etc.) And if it were the size of a Sovol SV08, I would be very likely to buy it...
I'm curious how this compares to the Flashforge Adventurer 5M. Both seemed to aimed at the same market and are about the same price. You have to do some work to enclose the 5M, but the ability is there and wouldn't cost much.
These kind of machines are tempting and I don’t mind tinkering a little bit. But my current 3d printer has basically exhausted me with tuning. I just need something to accurately print dimensions and parts so I can start some projects for my kid and others and know I can promise to get them finished instead of it having to pause and dial in more. Bambu I know is probably the answer but I am waiting for gen 2 x1c. But I’m getting impatient. A lot of multicolor coming out too so I’m going to have to wait. I hate waiting.
Flashforge adventurer 5m has worked out of the box for me. Prints are good quality and everything has fit together. Default profiles are okay but need tweaks for strength.
Get the A1 mini in the mean time. I bought the A1 mini and X1C at the same time. The A1 has excellent dimensional accuracy and passed the Multiboard test print with default settings, first try. The ring slid right off the tower. If you're waiting for a $1500 machine, certainly you'll love a $250 machine until then.
@AlexanderSmith600 funny you mention the k1. I was going to get the k1 but came across the flashforge. I'm happy with my decision. Truth be told, I actually use the 5m more than the vz330 anymore.
$499 is too much for this printer. For $299 you can get the Adventurer 5M and it's only downside is the lack of 3rd party nozzle options. Then there's the Infimech TX (Flyingbear US branch) which is an all open Klipper Core XY with incredible build quality for $299. Lastly the SV08 which is the same price with a 350mm3 build area and pretty much a Voron. So Twotrees needs to drop this price a lot to remain relevant.
We all know the truth! Mrs LM plugs all the printers in and that was your first, awkward, attempt at doing it. We know nothing happens without her! 😛 lol
I really liked the tip about the how to untangle the filament.
Thanks! It's funny, it's very simple, but it costs a lot in wasted filament if you try and cheat your way out of it!

Could help.
Update orca and the sk1 profile is right there. I installed orca first time 3 weeks ago on it was just there
Yeah, it actually asked me to update it when I was recording… so I skipped it. 😆

I’m not sure, I don’t have a 5M to compare or I would love to share that!
From what I saw, the pulley rotates on a shaft screwed to the housing. Does the shaft not warp or vibrate? The shaft has only one fixing point.
I'll take a closer look when we do another video on it. We are installing an enclosure and a camera on it and some comparison videos!
Sounds like you need a quieter fan as well as pwm control for the electronics fan. Looks like a good printer though.
I like the printer a lot! It would be a fun one for people to really play with.

Also have been loving the Flashforge 5M - cost less than my Creality K1 and outperforms it in print quality!!

A lot of people feel the same way!
I kept looking for the "2 hours later" button, lol. Good review. Definitely better results today than during the live stream.
Hehe! Also, yes, great print results!
@@LoyalMoses at least if this printing gig fails, you made a very good video resume of being a good cleaning lady...
Is this really a native clean Klipper Install?
For me its really important.
Even if it isn’t, it’s linux, you can do it if you want.
@@LoyalMoses no as some manufacturings are using binary blobs for some functions like the LCD communication and this are not available than

Lots of options now for sure!
Which fdm printer has the best print quality?
Hmmmm… Bambu at this point.
Can I install multi-color printing here ?
With a pallete, sure
need to update your OrcaSlicer... SK1 is there in the latest build
You know why this is funny?! It asked to update while I was recording, and I said no. 😆
Ty sir!
So welcome!

Was it that obvious?!
@@LoyalMoses a little but you played it off pretty well
She's the brains of the operation!😁
@@brianwilcox2543if she’s the brains does that mean LM is Pinky??
I HAVE ON MY ORCA SLICER TWOTREES SK1 YOU NEED 2.0.0 VERSION THEY ADD LOADS OF PRINTERS
That makes sense!!!
Here I am at 6:47 in the morning watching LM clean a 3D printer...
Here I am at 4:49AM replying to you while you watch me clean a printer! What’s wrong with us?!
I was wondering what I did to deserve this! LOL
Makes me want to fire the printer up, though!
Haha
Nice at list prusa can sell filaments 😅 sk1 is a solid printer
😜
Mrs.LM didn’t have it setup for ya so it was difficult start to the video. We all know she keeps everything going! 😂😂😂
You’ve figured it out! 😆
Talks about energy drinks the same way Mark Zuckerberg talks about Sweet Baby Rays.
He talks about what?!
@@LoyalMoses Go watch some videos on it. It's pretty funny. Just insists on saying "sweet baby rays barbeque sauce" over and over. All in good fun.
Haha! I didn’t know that.
Hmm that looks very similar to the p1… I mean the ender 5 NO NO I mean the creality k1
Haha! Exactly!
id rather have a p1s for the same money!
That’s a great machine!
Looks like a Voron Trident clone.
Obviously copied from Sovol! 😉
@@LoyalMoses Sovol's new printer is a Voron V2 clone. Or do they also make a Trident clone?
Nice video, however, it was hard to hear. The background music dominated the video. Great job, thought, and thanks for all the videos.
Thanks!
