    If the usb cord works for DATA on other stuff but not your ESP32. your missing "windows" com port drivers. install Windows CH340 Driver or CP210x Universal Windows Driver and you will likely have joy. For example, if you have a wemos d1 and the blue LED does not light up when you plug the usb port into a PC. Its because there is no com port. It needs a virtual comport driver. As well you will also need the correct .jason file and the correct board file/library loaded in arduino IDE.

    great project man! I've been considering building one of those for a while if you really want to go over the top with this thing, tou should consider cycloidal drives for your steepers. close to zero backlash + some reduction ratio to avoid microstep issues. is it worth the effort? not so sure, but i think would be hella fun xD and klipper of course!

    When you were testing the speeds you said that there is some kind of restriction holding it back and thats correct. Most machines/firmwares have an extra parameter called acceleration. Maybe check if your firmware has that aswell and set a higher acceleration when running higher speeds.

    2d bed slingers can add many static print heads for many times faster prints. use two scotch yokes to move the print bed in 2d, its more rigid than the two point beam axle mechanism. well if you want to keep the print bed static, then just use the same 2d mechanism to move a bunch of print heads at once. 2d sling print bed is just two axial rigid screws. on rails. also screw movement is a gear down ratio for high speed motors, like stepper motors. yep no belts, just two screw linear xy drives. actually, it can be fully xyz screw linear drives only. for both print bed movement or just print head plane movement. assume that the print head tool is socketed to the control point of the 2d or 3d scotch yoke intersection point. also each axis movement is controlled by one screw only, not multiple motors. preventing tilting or out of sync situations. at least the xy print bed movements are one-screw fully supported, even if the vertical print head level is using 2/4 level screws not just one. one the vertical print head axis controlled by one screw without sagging on sides, would be like an elevator with 8-point cube corner point rollers on the rails. wireless? you could use the rails as power and signal rails. just like power line lan adapters. yes the Z-axis is like a high tonnage press linear screw rail mounting. xy system being mounted in the z-rails movement mount system in the rails.

      Awesome info! Thanks for this - the scotch yokes look like a fantastic mechanism for this build! I hear what you’re saying about screw driven over belt, however curious to see how the belts will respond over time… maybe I’m just delaying the inevitable! 😆😆

    Stepper motors are not amazingly precise when micro-stepping. What you can do is add a reduction ratio, especially with the motor short-belt that you made. You can add a larger-diameter pulley on the rod, and keep the smaller one on the motor. That way, the motor will need to rotate more times in order to move the same amount on the XY and you can rely less on micro-stepping giving you precision.

    • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative 17 дней назад

      Great suggestion! That would be a pretty easy swap over and will definitely consider this! I’m curious on the ability of motors and will upgrade if too many issues. Great advice 🤩🤩

      With modern drivers, they're quite accurate as long as you don't have high load (high moving mass and/or acceleration) against the limited and nonconstant holding torque. TMCs are not like old A4988 and similar.

    Look Great, exept im not a fan of closed loop belt to drive the belt, i think you create more backslash and vibration with this thing, my experience in CoreXY ( 2 Machine ) is....K.I.S.S.....keep it simple stupid...advantage with Klipper you can add sensor to check and correct the over mouvement in change of direction, we see this on yours paper at each corner. Not fan to your pen support, far from the head and with the "spring" , im sure you got lot of vibration there, try to put accelometer sensor on it. • @NEWTechCreative
      @NEWTechCreative 26 дней назад

      The total machine build is approximately 5k AUD$. It depends on where you can get plates manufactured and cost of this. I have put together a huge amount of build docs since my last video that I will be releasing soon and includes a build of materials list with links, 3D reference files and technical drawings. I designed the machine on readily accessible items that can be sourced anywhere you are in the world also provided options for plates that can be laser/plasma cut to allow different options depending what’s available. I wonder if you could help me with my dilemma? I built a CNC Plasma table and control it with an MKS DLC32 V2.1 board (with built in Wi-Fi) and Open Builds Control (which I really like). OB will run the g-code file just fine as long as the plasma machine (pilot arc) isn't turned on. Once the plasma cutter fires the CNC machine freaks out and ends up either stopping with the torch still firing, or it takes off in some random direction - and OB responds with a lost port error and I need to reconnect. Obviously this is an EMI issue. I've tried numerous shielding, grounding, and isolation methods with no luck. However, if I load the g-code file onto an SD card, insert it in the control board's card slot, and run the g-code on the card from the "MK Laser" app on my phone, I can get a successful cut - but this also has drawbacks as the MK Laser app doesn't have z-axis control (I hear it used to) and the Z-axis height changes once the g-code starts to run. Messing with the MK Laser app to get it working this way is just a huge PIA and I would prefer to have the code being executed from inside OB. What I would like to try is controlling the MKS DLC32 board via Wi-Fi through the Open Builds Control software, but OB doesn't find the board when I scan networks. I've read in the forums that OB uses "telnet?" and would need GrblHal to be installed on the MKS board. I've also read FluidNC might work. But this is where things start to get over my head. Nevertheless, I'm convinced I could flash my board with either GrblHal or FluidNC (maybe even old ESP?) but I would need to get some very simplistic instructions on what steps I need to take to accomplish this. I realize a better card with ethernet or parallel connectivity would be a smart alternative, but I'd really like to see if I could get this card to pull it off. If you could assist me without boggling my mind with too much tech jargon (since I'm over 60 and this stuff will surely not attach to my brain neurons without many reiterations of the same info) I would very much appreciate it. For me simple is like this: go to ___ and find ___ and open it and then navigate to ___ and place it in ___ by dragging to ___ and then... After you do that then go to ___ and download ___ and then open the folder named ___ and then... etc. Thanks! Robert H. No need to use Arduino IDE. To change pins, just change the yaml file for fluidnc and upload either by fluidnc term or the web ui 👍

    Еще один сырой принтер, но ему это не простительно, цена слишком высока для этого. К1 лучше по соотношению цена-качество-возможности.

    Thanks for your reply. I have closed and reopened it a few times same thing needs internet. So do I understand correctly that that will not go away even if purchased?

      Thanks for your comment! Yes just like other cad/cam software packages it will need to check for licenses, and logon via the internet for first time use to connect with rabbit cam data base.

      RabbitCAM needs a sourcerabbit account and internet connection. The software is fully functional without paying for a subscription, except you cannot create gcodes.
