Replacing Oil Sending Unit 2003 Chevrolet 6L Silverado

How to get to the Oil Sending Unit on a 2003 1500HD Silverado 6 Liter engine that can also be found on 2500 and 3500 trucks. Symptoms were that the oil pressure started going from 0 to 80 while driving, after the replacement the oil pressure went up to 40 and stayed there.

Thanks for the video, you probably saved me at least an hour of time on this job. I am not a mechanic, and this was super helpful. 2003 2500HD, I was able to get around the fuel line by using a mirror to see where the clip was on the connecting wire.

my 2004 Denali XL has that same issue, i've got the sender on hand...but my phat hands do not help me in getting the job done. this is a new video and i think it is easier than i thought. thanks for the upload. my engine is also a 6.0L.

All of these videos are useless unless you already know what you're doing. I have watched 4 of them now and they all say different and don't match with my 2002 Chevy Silverado

It’s a pressure sensor.... it doesn’t SEND Anything but oil pressure readings. It’s not a Oil Sending Unit.

Fuel sending unit doesn't send fuel other than the fuel level. Sooooo
