Watching Spicer as Press Secretary was kind of like watching a dog in an animal abuse commercial, and this interview is like that after footage where he found a good home.
Don't feel bad for this guy. It's not like he was forced to take this job. The only reason he became Press Secretary is because he believed in the ludicrous ideas of Trump. He knew what he was getting himself into when he signed up to work for Trump.
Idk I think all his press conferences speak volumes more than this interview. To say "My job was to relay the President's thoughts" is really a just a slick a way to escape the accusation that he knowingly spewed false information from his mouth time and time again from that podium. For Christ's sake just own up to the fact that you told a lie. I'd have loads more respect for you if you did that rather than dodge accusations with a cheap laugh.
Taco1011 I agree! And I think he's much happier now that he's done doing that crap. I always felt sorry for him every time he had to do a press conference. Now he's free! Lol
I'm glad to see that he can have a laugh about these sorts of things. He seems like a genuinely pleasant guy who is open to everyone, and that the (R) by his name doesn't define him. He was given a tough job, and it caught up with him
You can see that he isn't the uptight person we all imagined him to be back when he was working for the White House. Also it's glad to see him actually let loose for once. Every time he was forced to lie to a hard question, it felt like watching a bladder after its owner drinks a 1-liter. Not good for his health.
Good for you Sean using this platform to say what had to be said and setting the record straight with the one form of media you weren't able to address during your career- late night tv
The message I got from this is he doesn't have the backbone to call bullshit when it's patently obvious. I'm not asking for him to involve his opinions where they weren't asked, but to simply stop trying to convince us red is blue because Donald Trump said so. I understand he needs a job to support his family, and clearly he was okay with being unethical to keep one.
The only thing I respect about Spicer is that he was visibly uncomfortable doing his job. That tells me he has some morals, unlike Huckabee-Sanders who comes off as a sociopath. But even then, I can't respect Spicer for continuing to be a sycophant. He was fired and he's still defending Trump? Disgusting, and very sad.
No. I'm sorry, but while Spicer may be a pleasant enough fella, he compromised his integrity and his intellect to serve as the spokesman for a president who was, at the time Spicer took the job, clearly devoid of the morals, competence, and dignity required for the job. Spicer had a rough go of it, but I can't have sympathy for him. He got exactly what he signed up for.
See, if you really have a down to earth conversation with someone you disagree with like Sean Spicer, you'll find that most people really aren't all of your preconceived notions. Let's all be more kind, considerate, and more generous in giving the benefit of the doubt to each other regardless of our political beliefs.
Spicer: "we can sometimes disagree with the facts" Thats the biggest problem we have in america right now. People believe whatever they choose to belive, regardless of it being true or being complete bull..
His friend asks him, "Are you going to be telling the truth while you're at that podium....." The entire time he's saying he will be, he's subtly shaking his head..... lol.
I have to applaud the positive messages on these threads. The guy was in the crosshairs and took a lot of crap - but he was serving his country to the best of his ability for a President that made life very difficult for him. I hope Sean or some of his staff reads through this feedback on the interview with Kimmel and he takes some heart from it.
Never forget! If you people forgive these people who helped 45 lie and spread false information, then it encourages people to keep serving horrible leaders. Spicer needs to pay the price for hes crime against democracy.
Spicers exact words that day were that it was the largest audience to witness an inauguration in person AND around the globe. A worldwide audience, yet Kimmel concentrates on a photo taken earlier in the day to deflect from this fact.
Facts are facts and aren't up for opinion or perspective. A blue sky is a blue sky. Saying it's red because that's your "perspective" means you're color blind, or just lying.
We ❤️and missed Sean. Good luck and thank for your great job. Godbless please keep up with president trump, president trump need great work like u Sean
some people feel bad for this guy and other people who resigned or was fired from the administration, but honestly imagine how little dignity one would have to have to work for the Trump Administration.
If you can overlook Trump's lack of class and tad bit of extremism, and lack of articulation, his policies are what is right and fair...and for the good of the blue collar tax paying citizen....period...
SPICY'S BACK! XD and although he seems more human now, WOW a lot of that pressure came loose in this clip. Is he still lying? Kinda but not on the same level. So that's a good thing
It's hard not to see Melissa McCarthy whenever Spicer comes on screen.
LOL..literally all I can see now!
HiennyAtYourService 😂😂😂😂💀💀
I can't see anything else now when I look at him, honestly it's an improvement. Wish he'd bust out a water gun though.
HiennyAtYourService yea duh!
I always love when Melissa McCarthy's a guest on talk shows. She's great!
lmoa!!!
You're a disgrace
He looks happy and not so miserable anymore
Wished it stayed that way
Wouldn't you? It would be like a weight lifted off your back.
@@rootbeer2399
You're a white trump supporter
Watching Spicer as Press Secretary was kind of like watching a dog in an animal abuse commercial, and this interview is like that after footage where he found a good home.
Z Z lol this made me laugh 😂
lmao
Funny or Die made that connection
Spot on analogy.
That's funny as hell, good one!
Hahahahaha I love Kimmels infectious laugh and not like fallons fake laugh
omg i love fallon's laugh. it's adorable
Ghost omfg I literally hate Fallon's fake laugh
ruclips.net/video/ncW1MdPr1B8/видео.html
Jimmy Fallon is worse than the cancer that killed my dad
I know this might be shocking, but all of the late night hosts fake laugh.
i wanted to see him with an easter bunny costume
George funny I didn't wanna see him at all
Jimmy doesn't wannna laugh but he just cant help it 😂😂
othman M. Abshir yes😂😂

You're crying
He looks like a good guy but my gawd.. such a loyal dog 🐶
He looks dead behind the eyes when he smiles.
So maybe you would almost say he's "such a good boy!"?
Don't feel bad for this guy. It's not like he was forced to take this job. The only reason he became Press Secretary is because he believed in the ludicrous ideas of Trump. He knew what he was getting himself into when he signed up to work for Trump.
Virajasaur He took the job for the same reason anyone else takes a top tier job.....MONEY
He was paid in Trump beef steaks. Almost 9 percent actual beef.
john jeffries exactly
Virajasaur but he's so cuuuuuute
Agree.
I'm not exactly sure why but Spicy reminds me of a mantis shrimp.
But mantis shrimp are awesome.
Dapple Ben small, but vicious
Dapple Ben mantis toboggan you mean
To me he looks like a Keebler Elf. I always get him and Sessions confused in that way.
Dapple Ben HE looks like the shrimp from the Disney movie!
Rip stress secretary sean spicer
As someone that didn't really watch his press conferences... it's scary how good the SNL version of him was. It was spot on.
You didn't have to do or say anything Sean, you made your own decisions.
Spicer seems like a good guy who was simply given an impossible job.
Taco1011 Given? The man wasn't forced to accept the job or stay...
An actually good guy wouldn't have helped dump, and definitely wouldn't take a job lying for dump
Idk I think all his press conferences speak volumes more than this interview. Taco1011 I agree! And I think he's much happier now that he's done doing that crap. I always felt sorry for him every time he had to do a press conference. Now he's free! Lol
I hate Trump as much as the next guy, Jonathan. But his name is Trump, and not Dump.
I'm glad to see that he can have a laugh about these sorts of things. He seems like a genuinely pleasant guy who is open to everyone, and that the (R) by his name doesn't define him. He was given a tough job, and it caught up with him
I'm surprised people clapped
You can see that he isn't the uptight person we all imagined him to be back when he was working for the White House. Also it's glad to see him actually let loose for once. andrea meza He isnt necessary a bad person he is just associated with a horrible person.
Like he said at least 3 times, his job is to convey what the president thinks, not to present his own point of view.
So I'm glad people clapped.
Especially in Hollywood. That place hates different viewpoints
"It was my job!"
Sean Spicer, 2017
"I just followed orders!"
Concentration camp guard, 1946
a born suckhole will die a suckhole
"your job as the press secretary is to represent the president's voice," so basically he was the mouth of sauron
Good for you Sean using this platform to say what had to be said and setting the record straight with the one form of media you weren't able to address during your career- late night tv
The sympathetic 'Aww' at 5:27 sounds a bit sarcastic.
awww spicy! although he worked for a horrible man & lied for him a ridiculous amount of times it's kinda nice to see him lol
*lol* I was half expecting Melissa McCarthy to come out! 😂😆
I'm glad Sean is free from the chaotic white house circus
He was fired but mentally he is still attached as hell. I think Kellyanne Conway is the only one they are actually keeping there against her will.
Well, it's not like he was being held there against his will. He chose to be in the circus.
Polly Mahone he was part of the circus and reason for the circus
Me, too. He's really got a cute personality when the politics are out of the picture.
Polly Mahone now we just have to deal with the led wing lying child molesting media
I respect that man for doing his job as respect to the office not the president. Thank you for your service you can be my press secretary any day.
You need higher standards
I AM Zero223 his name is "I AM Zero", he's living up to his name zero standards....
The message I got from this is he doesn't have the backbone to call bullshit when it's patently obvious. It would have been so funny if Jimmy had hosted Sean Spicer and Melissa McCarthy at the same time. His ratings would have gone through the roof.
This interview alone had his highest ratings in months. Guess Trump was right...
See, if you really have a down to earth conversation with someone you disagree with like Sean Spicer, you'll find that most people really aren't all of your preconceived notions. Let's all be more kind, considerate, and more generous in giving the benefit of the doubt to each other regardless of our political beliefs.
He somehow makes sitting in a chair look like leaning against a wall
After the first 2 seconds of the video, when Jimmy says "well here we go," I couldn't help but laugh.
Welcome to #LosAngeles Sean Spicer- Thank You for your service,.
This was actually really enjoyable to watch
The moment we've all be waiting for...
The fact he got roasted as his intro... wow lol
Spicer: "we can sometimes disagree with the facts"
Thats the biggest problem we have in america right now. People believe whatever they choose to belive, regardless of it being true or being complete bull..
jimmy was just roasting him lol
His friend asks him, "Are you going to be telling the truth while you're at that podium....." The entire time he's saying he will be, he's subtly shaking his head..... lol.
5:28 "Awwwww" in the audience...
Imbeciles
So many new words!
Candid interview thank you!

He's still a gaslighting weasel, but he did come out a little more personable than I expected.
JJ Keller
A gaslighting weasel. Ah ha ha ha ha ha !! Loved that.😃😃😃
Before, I really didn't get the "Melissa McCarthy Thing", but now I see the resemblance is impeccable!!!
Is that Melissa McCarthy or Sean Spicer? Hmm... can't tell 🤔
He actually seems like a decent guy!
Sawyer Bacon but he doesn't like Dippin' Dots
This was the largest crowd size in history. PERIOD.
Spicer is a guy u hate at first then start to like
When I hate someone/something, it'll never go away...
You mean start to like to hate?
If you're the fickle type. This man is as big a weasel as Kellyanne Conway.
Ap_26 i liked him when he thought the snl skit was funny.
Spicy! He and Melisa McCarthy should do a skit together on SNL.
Fascinating
Thank u Jimmy channel for help sup🇺🇸
It's pretty cool that Sean Spicer decided to go on Kimmel's show! He had nothing to gain here, and he handled it great.
Things just got a little more Spicy
And did anyone notice when he said WERE (friends in the press) and somebody in the crowd audibly went 'ahhhww'
I've never seen him so happy
His Inauguration crowd was huge and a lot was blocked by protesters too, it wasn't easy to get in when it was really early.
Never forget! If you people forgive these people who helped 45 lie and spread false information, then it encourages people to keep serving horrible leaders. Spicer needs to pay the price for hes crime against democracy.
Love Trump or hate Trump, you gotta give mad love to Spicey. Such a legend.
The "joke" is on us with this type of character.
Suddenly alternative facts doesn't sound like an oxymoron because it's a matter of how you interpret something.
Far better than the Colbert interview with The Mooch
He's alot more likeable as regular Sean Spicer, he seems happy!
I'm starting to like Sean now, seems likable and funny. He had the hardest job in the world.
It's strange to see him smile
Even though he's still a Trump fluffer, his smile is...rather pretty.
Spicers exact words that day were that it was the largest audience to witness an inauguration in person AND around the globe. A worldwide audience, yet Kimmel concentrates on a photo taken earlier in the day to deflect from this fact.
When he laughs he reminds me of Spencer Gilbert
I love jimmys suit jacket
This is the largest crowd size of watching former WH-spokesperson getting interviewed, ever, PERIOD (including RUclips, twitter, etc)!
"Sometimes you have to disagree with facts" How does one disagree with facts??
Everything floats down here
Thank you Sean Spicer!!!
Facts are facts and aren't up for opinion or perspective. A blue sky is a blue sky. Saying it's red because that's your "perspective" means you're color blind, or just lying.
He's gathering materials for a book, alright.
I wish he gave a straight answer about the crowed seize, he's still loyal to the president!
Look at him at 2:46 he is like hey man I know it was a shitty crowd but i had to say what I was told.
sniggity pow pow
He is such a great guy
I love how Sean Spicer is capable of laughing at himself, quite a humble man.
Spicer is still in the NAvy. i think that is why he is thanked for his service. whether he knows it or not.
Seems like a good guy..
He looks happy !!!!
Poor spicey I have so much more respect for him now. I bet he's so relieved he out of there now!!
We ❤️and missed Sean. Good luck and thank for your great job. Godbless please keep up with president trump, president trump need great work like u Sean
Who else expected Melissa McCarthy to appear when Jimmy said "hear's sean spicer".
He was only in that position for a matter of weeks. Why are some acting like he had been in it for years? 😂😂😂
His employment exit agreement prohibits him from making disparaging remarks about the Orange one.
He is a very likeable person.
He speaks better than I thought.
some people feel bad for this guy and other people who resigned or was fired from the administration, but honestly imagine how little dignity one would have to have to work for the Trump Administration.
You ALWAYS have a choice of WHAT to say. The ''im supposed to voice what the president thinks'' argument is BS.
That Emmy belongs to Spicer!
Spicy is no longer so spicy
He seems like a really nice guy.
This guy is a Damn Rock Star
It's good to see Sean Spicer smiling. I'm a democrat, but man I felt bad for him while he worked for Trump.
his shame will never leave him
Why are we treating this guy likes he's a decent human being?
Because he is..... no more CNN for you...
Barry A. No he ain’t. You don’t need CNN to see that he’s still with the trump
If you can overlook Trump's lack of class and tad bit of extremism, and lack of articulation, his policies are what is right and fair...and for the good of the blue collar tax paying citizen....period...
He looks like the T-1000
SPICY'S BACK! XD and although he seems more human now, WOW a lot of that pressure came loose in this clip. Is he still lying? Kinda but not on the same level. So that's a good thing
He needs to host SNL.
I like Spicer he seems nice and genuine. He doesn't take it too seriously and can laugh about it
Who's here before 10M views?
I guess
9,999,999 million people smh
