    What got exchanged in this bilateral wouldn't have been possible through any other forum . Now it can be inferred that any possible peace movement in this conflict would be only through Mr Modi's participation.
    In bilateral forum between Ukraine and India also this meeting is super success especially from defence industry perspective.

    The bigger writing on the wall is missed I think. The MoUs signed seems to signify to take away a big chunk of influence away from NATO which would help in a futuristic yet sustainable solution to the conflict.

    • @wystan1000
      @wystan1000 21 день назад

      Can you expand upon this? I don't understand what "influence" NATO is supposed to possess. It is a mutual defence and shared resources and information pact.

    • @gokul1255
      @gokul1255 21 день назад

      @@wystan1000 the biggest fear factor for Putin was the increasing influence of NATO after a cold war era stuck leader (Biden) in US trying to expand NATO's influence to Russia's backyard coupled with a probable fear instigation by Xi, to divert negative attention away from China post COVID. Because West always needed a common enemy to unite. It just moved from Soviet to Islamic terror to China and now back to Russia (which I guess to be a Chinese move who understands the sensitivities of both Biden and Putin while also media hate aggregation for a common enemy)

      MoUs are mostly just useless.
      No one is going to take Ukraine away from NATO, definitely not India lol. What do we even have to offer them? 😂

    Good analysis by Swati Rao and Yusuf Unjhawala.
    India mentioned innovative solutions in the context of current Ukraine and Russia war.
    But without compromise on land swaps, only way forward would be some sort of confederation between the two countries and later absorption of Russia in European Union and NATO itself along with Ukraine.
    For that to happen, president Putin should make a way for peaceful transition to true democracy in Russia with free press and judiciary. What are your thoughts on that?

    Given what Zelensky is saying now, after that we'll intentioned visit and flexing muscles hardly any interest to scale down. He has Nato behind him

      Wait, weren't you bragging that Russia would finish off Ukraine in a few weeks? Back then India said it was backing Russia. But now that Russia losing all of sudden Indians are saying that we are non-aligned. Wow, how did we go for backing Russia to being non-aligned all over sudden???

      It doesn't matter at this point. You need to try build some diplomatic relationship with everyone. When this war ends India will want the rare earth metals that Ukraine makes for high technology. Otherwise we will be to dependent on the US.

    Very good visit by Modi. Both Russia and Ukraine are very old historcal partners.
    Hope Jayashanker and his team gave some hard truths to the Ukrainian Comedian thst this war is unwinable for both sides .

    • @anadasingh3456
      @anadasingh3456 18 дней назад

      You need to understand Babasharma, Russia's goal is not to take over Ukraine. Russia goal is to enslave Romania, Poland, the Baltic States and Czech Republic. Ukraine is on the way there. India will never support the "colonization" of 300 million people. That is a bridge to far my friend. Even now Russia economy is self destructing. No matter how we support Russia they will no longer be a power in this world. We will have to fend for ourselves.

    Modi's Russia trip itself was a bold move; when it became certain that Biden was on his way out and Trump's return was a sure thing. Sadly the same day one of the worst attacks on Ukraine happened where many children died; Modi's warm embrace of Putin was seen world wide. Biden shocked the world by unleashing his last weapon, Kamala Harris and everything changed! Many believe Modi is now compelled to make amends, embrace Zelenskyy and perform a delicate balancing act!!. We do hope Modi is able to do some good.
