The fact that these games and other retro styled ones come out and are consistently the most hype and beloved titles that persist in memory long after release imo shows that this is where video games peaked. We won't be seeing brown cover shooters being made 30 years from now. We won't see indie devs making COD clones in the future, or battle royales or linear movies masquerading as games. Alas, Genesis/Megadrive sounds awful when it attempts to emulate electric guitars. Hundredfold so when it's chords. This one here, on the other hand - sounds much more like Amiga CD-Rom. And it's pretty good.

Composers. Turns out that in this proyect are involved also Enrique Martin (the composer for Cyber Shadow, Roof Rage), and Dominic Ninmark (the composer of Blazing Chrome, and, on the work: Moonrider)
I love all the little nods to other games. Climbing the fence and the damn chained up dog thing from Mario games. Total recreation of an enemy from Shinobi 3. Everything about this has been done right. The theme is awesome too. Will be going for this as soon as it is available.
This reminds me more of Bloodstained Curse of the Moon than Castlevania tbh, gameplay, background style, even the bosses and their desperation move, Inti Creates stuff definitly inspired this one, and that's very good
Came here to say this. Protag sprite alone is so Zangetsu-like it's like they did just get the original sprite and edited a little. Not that I'm complaining - I'd like to play this too especially with the sound track. I just wished the pixel art aspect was a tad bit different so it could stand out for itself, even after taking inspiration from Bloodstained CoTM.
I love how The Terminator makes a guest appearance at 01:02 ! Excellent effort overall. The soundtrack stands out in particular. It could have benefited greatly if the devs dropped the synths and went for the real instruments in a complete hard-rock arrangement, imho. It's just too good for being dropped on an inferior tech.
It's like if you put Bloodstained: Circle of th Moon and Blasphemous in a blender with a kickass soundtrack to boot. This and Infernax look like they're worth waiting for.
The soundtrack is Biblical. I imagine this is something similar to what the great ‘Goblin’ would have produced if asked to provide a soundtrack for a game like this. Outstanding stuff!
Man, they made reference to Ninja Gaiden, Revenge of Shinobi, Ghouls'n Ghosts and even Super Mario, besides of course the 16-bit Castlevania, the music was awesome!
This would have been alot more novel if Curse of the moon didn't come out and have a sequel, but the work here is still very good stuff, great work, I hope you go farther in your career
1:04 so sad to lose your family and friends to what looks like arsonist squirrels 3:05 apparently those squirrels also explode when hit Wow the music in this game slaps! 11:17 good to see Pyramidhead found new employment after Silent Hill ended.
Looks like Classicvania, but plays more closely to Rondo of Blood (Knight guarding the bridge, multiple attack patterns per enemy, trailer also shows a scene with the hero on a stagecoach, bosses having a final attack... tbh it's probably mostly Bloostained: COTM inspired :P)
@@kekeke8988 The artstyle is still NES-vania with the gameplay of Rondo added. As I said, it's closer to Bloodstained CotM, where that was also the case.
This game is more of a Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon clone, that still pretty good. You got: -the same artstyle and color pallet -the protagonist is red, and wields a sword -the boss has a "final attack"
Carriage driver: didn't I drive you and purple girl with a whip through here a while back? Gabrial: oh that's my half brother zangetsu we get mixed up all the time.
I’m surprised no one has made a horror game about the Scranton Strangler and have it take place in The Office. You start up in the office then go through the parking lot and warehouse. A short game where you stayed late and he would be trying to kill you. I hope that happens some day lol I’d love it

So basically this is a killer soundtrack that comes with a game.
hahah xD
Like Holy Diver for the NES
Castlevania franchise is like that lol .. *Blessed Michiru Yamane*
If you're going to do a castlevania clone there are some things you NEED to have. A killer soundtrack is obligatory.
Insulting.
It’s like if you mixed old school castle Vania and ninja Gaiden this looks really fun to play
Reminds me of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon
It's clearly more inspired by Shinobi. The first mini boss is literally a copycat of the first boss from Shinobi 3, which is pretty lame.

That's some strong Genesis chipboard going on there. I've missed that strong tonal themes and distorted values they had.
Yup some of the best music in that era. Streets of Rage and Shinobi
This music is outstanding
yes yes yes, YES
Okay. This looks totally up my alley. Love the Castelvania NES vibe it has.
Nice to see that creativity is still alive these days! The soundtrack is awesome and the second boss was very creative!

to be inspired by the final fight track from Megadrive Golden Axe.

Castlevania gameplay with music that smells like Blast Processing (you read it right).
This is perfect.
Definitely reminds me of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. It's great what people have been able to do with old styles and modern machines.
Its standard 8 bit graphics since 1985. Curse of the Moon didnt do anything new that wasnt already done since the 80s

Thank you...I Really enjoyed the gameplay
