Michael Adams (31pts/17asts/4stls) vs. Celtics (1990)

  • One could say that every single statline of the 90-91 Nuggets should be taken with a grain of salt and I would agree. However Michael Adams truly deserves credit for this game and his 31/17 output. Adams controlled the tempo of the game for the first three quarters and the Celts weren't simply able to stop him as he attacked the basket ferociously within five seconds of Boston scoring at the other end. December 5, 1990.

    Lol, I used to "push-shoot" the ball as well when I was younger. Everybody told me to change it (even though I was pretty good with that shot...). Now I wish I had never changed.

    Excelent upload as usual. I love that Nuggets team, many say it was not serious to run and gun like that but they actually won 20 games with that roster which i'm pretty sure they wouldn't had done playing a more conventional game.

      Very seldom did you see him go to the rim, although he did on occasion; Talking about Walt Davis.
      Fella had a smooth jumpshot!!!
      Back then he and Charlie Scott had similar offensive games!
      Mike Adams was out of Hartford, Conn.
      He average "30" in high school and had a number of 50 point games in his last two years....
      Cold blooded scorer with a will to kill mentality with no letup!!!
      Denver's run an gun game suited him just fine because that where he was at his best, hitting quick and often....

    When teams didn't play defense 25 years ago they call it "good basketball" when teams don't play defense now they call it bad basketball. This is fun to play this style but good God 148 to 140 lmao! Talk about a track meet.

    • @Kendallbi
      @Kendallbi 8 лет назад +2

    Can we please stop acting like the 80s games were all so intense and the defense was sooo epic? In ALL of the 2000s, it’s taken until 2019 for teams to finally get back up to the 110 ppg average that we saw for the entirely of the 80s(109 PpG for all of the 80s combined)

    Lol. D'Antoni gets credit for popularizing "7 seconds or less" in the US.. but clearly this Nuggets team, as well as a few others (RUN TMC Warriors). Were doing that in the late 80s/early 90s. Without emphasizing the 3pt line. Michael Adams always had one of thee most ugliest jumpers, I've ever seen.. but like my pops used to say.. "but yeah.. he be hittin' that ugly s### though."😂😂😂. Lol. He sure did.
