Hi John! Great video! Your channel has inspired me to get my first kit - the OcCre Albatros. And the channel has been a great source to learn different techniques. I have a question that I was hoping to get your opinion on! I noticed the plans for the Albatros call to plank with the thin deck pieces the inside of the bulwark and then bend it. After this it’s attached to the ship. It’s a pretty significant bend for the bow. Is it better to bend and attach it to the ship first and then plank? Or plank and then bend it as the instructions state?
Hi! Welcome aboard! I believe that the strips must be 0,5 mm thick. If that so, they bend easy and even without heat and water. I would plank the hull with the normal strips and then i will apply the thin strips on the inside. The only difficult thing to that is to calculate exactly the length of the thin strips so you don't have any gaps. Otherwise you have to glue the thin strips on the plank strips and you have to make sure that they have glues perfectly and in their entire surface (this is hard) and also you might destroy their surface while bending them.

Hi Daniel!!! The LED Lights will make your model look a lot better! I use resistors only when i need to power up a single LED or two LEDs because of the power 12V that i use for the circuit. You do need resistors if you wish to have only one LED like in the lanterns. I can provide you with the wiring schematics , i only need your email. Have in mind though that the schematics are based on Billing Boats Victory, so you might need to change them in a few places. My email is : john.aliprantis@gmail.com
