    That is such a nice ballad, I think it has a Ricky Nelson feel to it. Eddie Cochran tragically died and left music like this for us to remember plus all those great songs and hits. A true master of the genre.

    Eddie to me , he could walk on the same path as Elvis & Buddy Holly any day of the week ... Eddie was special with a capital "S" ! He had it all, the looks, the talent & from what I've heard many many times he was a nice, caring, genuine, funny human being ...... Eddie is very intriguing ! The world Lost a fine musician, singer, entertainer BUT also a sad Loss to mankind.
    God Bless Eddie Cochran.

      That sense of impending doom aggravated when his friends Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly crashed in that plane. In fact, Ritchie's mother was the one who called his mother to tell her about the car crash.

    Loved Eddie Cochran, I was 9 when he died if it wasn't for someone called Elvis Presley who I had love from the age of five it would have had to be Eddie, unfortunately I had been introduced to to Elvis by a big brother and that was me for ever.But it has never stopped me from remembering what a fabulous musician he was and a tragic lost to the music scene.

    Great video, great underrated recording . I love just about all of Eddie's material , but this number has for me , the most captivating and haunting rhythm of them all. Just listen to that lead guitar. Although Eddie's more celebrated as an uptempo singer , I reckon his balladry is as good if indeed not better.

    I feel Eddie Cochran was a special rock n roll singer songwriter guitarist, Of some note ! I get the impression he never quite believed in himself, to the extent Elvis did.He seemed a bit reserved, But man ! was he talented.

    • @AstroMockerSelector
      @AstroMockerSelector 2 года назад +3

      The thing is : Elvis was just himself, the personnification of rock’n’roll, just being and performing… but, Eddie not only had Hollywood good looks, he was a songwriter who sang his songs and lead guitarist who played sessions on other’s records like 5-10 years before Jimmy Page (and Page never really wrote songs either… )! Eddie was the ideal Teen rock’n’roll star… I’d hate seeing him become old and obese like Elvis later. RIP
