Yay!! So glad to have you along for the journey! The van tour is going out Sunday and I hope your enjoying the Europe vlogs! Thanks for your comment, means alot to us ✌🏻
Wales is absolutely stunning, my mother in law lives in Swansea so I spent a fair bit of time in SW and mid Wales, I like to do a spot of gold panning when I get the time 👍
Oh your a charmer as always 😍 me and the wife always look forward to your comment when we post a video! Think you might just be out number one fan😉 thanks mate!✌🏻
@@CoupleWithACamper credit where it's due, the pair of you not only do a great job but you avoid the usuall YT bs of acting like experts, I appreciate that as much as the skills you show 😎
We've had ours in for over a year and their still like new! Ummm the sink was trial and error, take it down to a certain size but then if it doesn't fit just go at it with a sander :)
Hi Naz & Rosie, we're currently converting a crafter and your videos have been great to watch for inspiration....loving the kitchen worktop hack and will be definitely pinching that as we're currently fitting our IKEA kitchen this week (same one!) so trip to wonky Wickes tomorrow! What locks are you using on your cabinets to stop them flying open? Thanks in advance Brian & Anna ;)
Thanks for your support both! Glad that our videos have been of some use for you guys! If we can be of any help then reach out to us via DM on insta ( same name as on YT), the IKEA kitchen has worked out great! Regarding the locks we just used magnet stick on locks which have worked great so far! Drop me a DM and I'll send you the link :) hope you guys stick around to watch the rest of the build, van tour and Europe series!
Great idea on the kitchen and we've just bought the same style! How did you attach the units? Have you just screwed them in to the floor frame you made or did you fix them to the bulk head you created? Cheers!
Hi mate, the kitchens going strong 1 year later! We secured with about 60 long screes through the base into our frame we make for it to stand on and had no issues mate
Nice job. Im on my third build. Previously i made my own cabinets but like you said they never have that higher quality finish. Which model kitchen unit did you go for? Subbed
Hi I have watched all your videos, and I find you talk sense. I read on FB and elsewhere that the longevity of ikea kitchens in a van is not good, due to movement and moisture. 1 year on from your install are you still happy with the units or would you have done it another way?
Thank you so much! We heard the same but honestly they've been installed for over a year and they haven't not shown any sign of deteriorating or loosening atall, they are honestly our favourite part of the build and are something we would be doing in our next van build!
It’s very pretty and functional. My only concerns are… - if the usb faucet was on the other side closest to the door, you could reach water from outside as well and may need that when cooking outside. -The other concern is not being able to get to the front seats quickly and stealthily. You also won’t be able to turn your van seats around for seating. Could it fit lengthwise along the van wall where the door slides open?
Looks great! How is the board working out as a worktop? I'm using the same units and tempted to do the same as you, just worried with it being a softwood it will dent and scratch easily? Cheers, Adam
Perfect guys p.s. I. Northwales love the kitchen btw I'm making mine out of halfords rollcabs and two side boxes so these are perfect for my sink idea slotting it under the cabinet dead space overwise
Amazing mate hope that works out for you! These containers have been amazing on our four month trip, doesn't give water any taste either! Best of luck to you mate!

Wonderful job Naz
Thank you😄
This is awesome!
Looks great, deciding to go for the same thing on my van. Any tips on how you got the cutout to fit in the sink?
We've had ours in for over a year and their still like new! Ummm the sink was trial and error, take it down to a certain size but then if it doesn't fit just go at it with a sander :)
@@CoupleWithACamper it looks great. What thickness timber board did you get for the kitchen worktop?
@itscashman7398 it's 18mm mate, worked great, Wickes it is

Amazing kitchen! Some great ideas there. Are you installing a 12v fridge? If so where and what type? Thanks 😊
Sorry just seen your next video and that answers my questions. Have subscribed and will carry on watching your videos 😊
Thanks mate! Glad your enjoying the videos! Got lots to catch up on ✌🏻😍

Thanks mate! We used the slimline method Maximera units from IKEA, their sill going strong! Thanks for the sub mate
It looks great. What is the height of the countertop.. in or cm?
I think it works out to about 85cm :)
Great work guys your build is coming along nicely.
Quick question do you have a link for your work top 😊
It's from Wickes mate, handmade, it's just a timber board :)!

How did you get the wee worktop to fit back into the sink space without falling thru lol 😂 ..serious question though
We cut to the guidelines of the sink, so the outer lip catches on the work top and it just rests in place :)
How did you attach the sink to the worktop to its stay in place while you are driving 😊?
We glued it down, no issues on our four month roadtrip
Great job, Would you mind posting the links to the 2 units please?
Hey mate, here's the link to one of them: www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/metod-maximera-base-cabinet-with-drawer-2-doors-white-stensund-light-green-s49487486/
Hi what catches do you use on the kitchen doors to stop them opening? Thanks.
Where did you buy the sink pls?
Looks great! How is the board working out as a worktop? I'm using the same units and tempted to do the same as you, just worried with it being a softwood it will dent and scratch easily?

It's been fab! We just took extra time to stain and seal it properly with multiple coats, defo saves weight and looks good too :)
Which sink did you use?
It's the IKEA boholmen sink
Are these wall units ?? How is there drawers in wall units ????
No it's a IKEA slimline kitchen, the model is called Maximera :)
Confused ! ….i cant find that as a unit ? Only drawer Fixings 😮
Hi guys, can you tell me how you fixed the tap to the worktop? Thank you. Michael
It's just friction fit with the tube, we could have fashioned a holder but it works just 'floating'
The kitchen units seem narrow ! Did you cut them down ???
No mate, their the 37ch deep IKEA method Maximera units, no mods needed :)
Where did you get your tubes for water from
Amazon mate: amzn.to/3xKqbEn
