I seriously don't understand how some people mistake Revali's arrogant personality with him being a bad and selfish person. He is proud, not an asshole who would let innocents die.
revali and the ritos themes were always some of my favorites. their village is so refreshing after trekking all the way there, and being greeted by the gorgeous track is like a sky blue bow on top!
Revali did have a feathered edge dagger during the blight battle. You can see this when you re-do the battle in the champion's ballad dlc. This means he might have melee attacks
I've always wondered whether or not Revali arrives at his Divine Beast first or last. There is evidence for both. Then couple it with the SOS calls in the Divine Beast's music, especially Revali's, being much later. It's chilling to think we almost know exactly when he died. On a happier note, I love your theory on Medoh! I never considered the turrets and shielding! Brilliant!
Maybe Revali's journey to Vah Medoh is just calm, and straight. A perfect moment to just show the beauty of the overworld if you ask me... Flying with in Medoh could do so too.
I do think that Revali's route will be filled with aerial battles, and maybe a chase sequence in order to continue the action. I just believe that they will keep the story canon since Nintendo will obviously take everything into consideration.
Yeah a chase sequence would be insane, I can just imagine him passing over hyrule castle right as the guardians pop out of it right behind him, then ensues a battle with him slowly picking off a giant mob of guardians following him as he flies toward vah medoh.
The 5 pilars don't rise directly after Ganon's return. From what we've seen in the trailer it seems that Ganon take control of them (and every other Guardians) when Link, Zelda and Impa are at Hyrule Castle. Revali was probably at his Divine Beast long before that.
it would be really nice if revalis route had some focus on defeating the skywatchers, there arent that many around hyrule in botw, most are in areas that were completly decimated by ganon like hyrule castle and akkala citadel and thats probably not a coincidence. theres no point in fighting off hordes of guardian stalkers if the skywatchers are just flying past you. having a scenario with revali taking hyrules first line of defense, defeating as many skywatchers that spawned in castle town as he could would be great (and its the kind of flashy role that suits him)
@@maxsvensson6023 yeah, there are 3 more are in a quarry in akkala, and many more in other places. i meant that they seem more abundant in places that the guardians completely took over
I am more than hyped to play Revali! Personally, I liked his character very much bc I think he has a soft core ... the way he might die in AoC will definitely hit my feels. Thanks for having HMK on this one ^^
In the case of Revali using his bow as a main weapon with ground combat, I recommend looking at Fire Emblem Warriors as there are a few bow users that do just that and make it work. If anything Revali has even more options with different elemental arrow and such.
They could very well do something like that. Its a highly speculative subject, since Revali's path is so straightforward. I would love it if they implement some actual flying sections in the game. But I don't know if the warriors engine allows for something like that. If not, I am sure they can make it work with "normal" combat. It just feels a bit strange to play a character who is famous for his flying skills, and keeping him mostly grounded or at the very most floating a few feet of the ground. But at the end of the day... I'm just happy we are getting this game. It won't make or break the game for me.
Monster Maze I could see Revali being a more in depth version of Hyrule Warrior’s lightning element bonus that makes you deal extra damage when the enemy is in the air, leading you to focus on juggling your foe without letting them touch the ground. Characters with high hit box moves excelled at this. The flying units in Fire Emblem Warriors also had a very aerial juggling focused moveset while still remaining on the ground for all intents and purposes. Basically I don’t think Revali needs a brand new gameplay style to work, he can still be aerial based while reaming in the traditional ground combat system.
There are many bow uses in the Warriors series. Ina from Samurai Warriors, Huang Zhong, Xiahou Yuan, and Zhu Ran in Dynasty Warriors, on top of the Fire Emblem Warriors characters. Grounded combat with a bow, on top of his wind powers and Rito heritage, Revali would be no slouch on the ground. I’m not sure if they can pull of aerial combat, but it would be cool.
I cannot express enough how much I appreciate and love the path rendering and Hyrule Map Model you have been using. It's a masterpiece in and of itself, but more than that it really adds to the theorizing. The puzzle pieces have been there, you've just helped put them together in an easy to see way. Thank you to all involved in this project.
I personally think he arrived last at his DB. I think he got held up battling for so long that by the time he gets to Vah Medoh, he doesn’t have his great eagle bow anymore. It’s dark, he’s scared, he’s not prepared. He fights valiantly, but loses to Windblight.
I was just thinking about the first hyrule warriors game and how the main story was focused on recovering the missing parts of the tri-force but then a secondary story was going on involving Ganondorf's resurrection or something like that... Then once you're done with the primary story you have a post game based on how Ganondorf and the bad guys come back and then you have the real final battle against dark beast Ganon... So just wondering if any post game mission or secondary story will happen on this one, maybe the aftermath of the calamity and how a few sheika warriors or hyrule army survivors, even Goron/Zora/Rito warriors protect the remains of the civilization from the wandering guardians or monsters trying to settle at these towns and villages.. .
I’ve seen a lot of speculation about a villain route but I think it’d be hard to make it engaging when there aren’t any actually characters. The blights and Ganon his elf are mindless, so unless the Yiga clan gets involved there won’t be much of an explanation as to why each blight I’d doing what they’re doing unless they creat a humanoid form for Ganon.
I'm just so excited everytime you release a video, especially with this mini-series ! I'm already hyped about the game, but these videos hype me even more !
Another thing that's in Revali's path is actually the ranch and sacred grounds. and if you look at the map on one of the screenshots for the first stage, there's an area in the shape of the ranch on that map. I mean its not DIRECTLY on the path, but its close enough that a quick detour wouldn't be unbelievable.
I don’t care what anyone says, I love Revali. 😪 I really love this series and how you’re presenting it. It’s something different and it’s so fascinating to think about.
Another RUclips video proposed that Revali's battle against the Ganonblight was harder than the other Champions', because the sun would have fallen by that time. Rito canonically have terrible night-vision.
A good way to gauge how Revali can work as a musou character is to watch gameplays from Dynasty Warriors, Zhu Ran and Hanzhong as pure archer based characters and both of them play differently. Hanzhong prefers volume shooting and quickdraw attacks while Zhu Ran has more precise, accurate and explosive volleys. But both of them would prefer to fight at a fair distance.
It would be cool if the three gameplay scenarios you suggest were actually one long battle: Revali flights past the Castle as the skywatchers are coming out of the pillars, decides to stop to fight them and then makes them all chase him -> transition to a chase sequence where you need to dodge all the lasers from the skywatchers and kill those that stray away from you -> finally arrive at Vah Medoh and use it to blast your way through all of them, as Revali bathes in the blasting glory.

They’re so interesting and well made and I had so much fun watching all of them. Again, thank you! I’m looking forward to all of your future videos 😊
I thought it was so ironic that HMK helped voice Revali's episode 😅 But still, playing wise, this character is the one I most look foward to. Great job as always :)
Managed to make it for the Premiere, and I gotta say it's been just as great as the other ones! I seriously can't wait for this game to come out. Great work MM!
Amazing video once again! I really like this series and my favorite champion is Revali (other than link ofc) so hopefully the game does him justice :,)
I really like the idea of Revlia having no trouble getting to Medoh and then in an attempt to prove himself and save his friends he does actually care about he moves Medoh towards Hyrule castle to deal with the skywatchers but then Ganon takes notice and wind blight appears.
The production of this mini series is AMAZING. The map and animations are so cleanly done. How was all that made? Such a great job, loving your content!
I think that Revali deserves a bit more appreciation overall. Yes, he's arrogant and I won't deny that I was so happy while freeing Vah Medoh just because I could prove him wrong (and also hugely disappointed with how easy Windblight was), but other than that... Like someone pointed out, he's the only champion who wasn't born with a special ability but rather created one himself by working harder and harder. When he won that contest, instead of asking for some gorgeous award that could be used to show how glorious he was, he asked for a place to keep training, and he trained until the very end. And I kind of understand his feelings towards Link, because in his eyes everyone phrases him just because of his Sword, something he was actually destined to obtain, not because of his actual skills. Revali doesn't know about how hard Link trained, too. And he actually changes his mind and attitude once Link proves his value. Also, as arrogant as he is, I don't think he's selfish or anything, he indeed cares for the well-being of his people. If I don't go wrong, even in his diary, he never says that he wants to keep his ability and his training place for himself.
This is speculation sure, but I think it'd be interesting to add some new character dynamics or something to Revali prior to his demise against Windblight Ganon. It's clear he has a lot of pride, but there is a moment where he did silently seem to drop it when it seemed like Mipha was uneasy when Purah took the picture of the champions. I'd actually love it if Revali actually chose to delay his flight back to Rito Village to help in the evacuation of Castle Town since he'd obviously make it before Link and Zelda did, even if he disguises it as wanting to one-up Link in some manner. He could also do it with the belief that the more guardians and monsters he takes out there, the fewer there would be should they march onto Rito Village, which would satisfy both a selfish and selfless form of thinking.
I agree! You know, I almost always exhibit immediate repulsion to anybody displaying self-centeredness (including fictional characters), but Revali-self-hyping as he is-never struck me as selfish. Remember from his diary entries when he was basically persuaded by Zelda's "Hyrule needs you" claim, even if he also insisted that it was corny, to consider piloting Medoh. At that moment he wasn't thinking about fame or recognition; he was just thinking about his larger responsibility. Also, of course, who would forget him gladly opening up his Flight Range-supposedly his personal trophy-for the children just because they express interests? How about that time when he looked concerned when Mipha was called out for being too nervous during that photoshoot, and visibly smiled in relief upon seeing she's fine? Honestly, I don't get presuming Revali to be the gigantic asshole that a lot seem to label him such. Unless proven otherwise, I ain't calling him selfish.
That is really great to hear! These other channels have been generous enough to lend me their voices, so it's really nice to see the viewers showing them some love
I didn't think about how if Revali failed early Medoh could've devastated even more of Hyrule. This makes me respect him a lot more, so thanks for that!
Since he is gifted with the ability of flight I could see him taking part in a number of skirmishes, Goponga Village with Daruk, perhaps aid with the initial evacuation of Hyrule Castle Town for instance
I think he's selfless, at least in the sense where if it makes him look like a hero he'll do it. I think his pride is probably more of a strength than a detriment to him.
He'd (try to) save the day regardless. He just feels the need to constantly "prove himself" on a team where the others can shoot lightning, create a magic barrier, heal others, or "hold sword" and he probably came under the impression that Link thought he (Link) was better than him when Link seemingly ignored Revali's attempts to impress. Probably would be less of a jerk if Link could figure out how words work.
I’m really excited for when you finally do videos featuring Croton and Zeltik. (Although I also love Hyrule Gamer, Xenogamer, Masked Nintendo Bandit, Nintendo Black Crisis, Commonwealth Realm, and HMK, though I feel like HMK gets a tad too excited, though maybe my volume is just too loud.) They are my favorite Zelda theorists along with you. (Though Croton’s not exactly a Zelda theorist)
I just had a random realization that's irrelevant to this video, but still relevant to the Zelda series as a whole. Every big release comes out in fall or early winter. My guess is that it's related to holiday sales, but I just wanted to point this out because it's cool.
Koei Tecmo did speak about the desire to break conventions based around BOTW. To my knowledge there hasn't been an aerial combat section in any of the Warriors games. Revali's section could be a chance to innovate on the series if it allows you to jump between grounded and aerial combat.
Oh no... next one is Mipha’s... I’ve been tearing up every time the time of the champions’s last fights against the divine beast comes up, since we know how it ends and we can remember the scenes in BOTW... but Mipha’s will hit even harder. She’s always the one that makes me cry the hardest when replaying the game. Regardless, I’m excited for the video. They’re filled with awesome narration and content!
I can honestly see Revali's route being a few air battles against enemies like Keese and Guardian Skywatchers with the final boss being Windblight Ganon. That's my prediction for Revali's part of the game.
Is this information all in masterworks, or do you speculate some of it? For future videos, would you mind putting like a sign, even if it's a small asterisk at the bottom of the screen so we know if you're speculating?
The actual roads they take is from Masterworks. They gameplay scenarions inbetween are completely speculative. Thats why I put that "Gameplay scenario" text on the screen. I actually forgot to add it in 2 cases in this video, but I will correct that in the compilation video.
I'd like aerial combat, but also chase sequences where you weave in and out of portions occupied by guardians or flying ennemies, dodging lasers or projectiles as you round them up while allies on the ground prepares a massive assault on the cluster of mobs. Revali is maybe the most agile of all, so having such missions (or at least battles focused on dodging first and shooting next) might not be too much of a stretch.
Ok, crazy thought here. What if Windblight Ganon does not make the final blow, but instead Revali tries to take them both down? Revali gets knocked down, badly injured, and Windblight Ganon just goes over to look him in the eye when it kills him. But Revali pulls out his bow, loaded with bomb arrows, and fires point blank range. And to add to the moment, Windblight Ganon rises from the smoke and laughs as it takes control of Vah Medoh.
I'm mad if Revali doesn't get his own section! I don't care what you make him do just let me play as him in the story😂👌🏽 and please more rivalry shown between him and Link 🥺 I hope they include your ideas, I wouldn't mind war plane game play but I think that's not so propable since hw didn't really have anything extra like that... 🤔 Looking forward to the next vid!!!! 😍
Well he could still get his own section, just not in the air, but grounded. Which would be more boring to me... but they. Maybe the devs cannot implement it into their engine
Just a note, bow users have been in Warriors games many times before, and no, none of the downsides you mentioned are a big issue. They usually have an advanced skillset, or their ranged advantage is simply great enough that they never have to deal with melee attacks to begin with.

I agree! You know, I almost always exhibit immediate repulsion to anybody displaying self-centeredness (including fictional characters), but Revali-self-hyping as he is-never
struck me as selfish.
Yess!! I appreciate the effort you guys put into this!😁✌
This is an awesome series I am already subbed to everyone you've brought in om sofar and its nice to see collars with familiar channels
That is really great to hear! These other channels have been generous enough to lend me their voices, so it's really nice to see the viewers showing them some love
I don't think that Revali was selfish, he was just arrogant to a point where it seemed that way.
this series is the GOAT. fantastic collabs as well.
I didn't think about how if Revali failed early Medoh could've devastated even more of Hyrule. This makes me respect him a lot more, so thanks for that!
Loving this series! Amazing video as always.
Loving this series bro! What a killer idea!!!!
This is like the history channel of hyrule lore. I love it!
I was happy you got the controlling the Divine Beasts part correct :)
At 4:03, anyone notice how Ravioli was using the Wind Arrows on those Bokos? Just before shooting the Bomb Arrows...
I see Maze is a man of culture, he saved the best for last, Mipha next vid
Can’t wait for the next one these are so good!
I can't get over the level of quality of the Skywatcher on 3:39 to 3:45. It has the same level of quality as from tv documentry
@@foxymetroid that's flippin hilarious. XD
And yes we'll have Divine Beast gameplay 😍😍😍😍
The link to his channel in the description is actually a link to commonwealth realm!
Already fixed it ^^
I’m really excited for when you finally do videos featuring Croton and Zeltik.
2:07 Where we're going, we don't need roads.
I just had a random realization that's irrelevant to this video, but still relevant to the Zelda series as a whole. Every big release comes out in fall or early winter. My guess is that it's related to holiday sales, but I just wanted to point this out because it's cool.
Thank you for not hating on Revali just because he has a character arc
Revali actually held off against his blight ganon longer than any other Champion and mastered the Beast quickest.
Koei Tecmo did speak about the desire to break conventions based around BOTW. To my knowledge there hasn't been an aerial combat section in any of the Warriors games. Revali's section could be a chance to innovate on the series if it allows you to jump between grounded and aerial combat.
I think that air to air combat would be an amazing challenge to play around with.
7:14 These guys basically predicted playable Divine Beasts without knowing.
10 minute video when Rivali literally flew in a straight line to his divine beast 🤣
Oh no... next one is Mipha’s...
Yes, my favorite character!
I can honestly see Revali's route being a few air battles against enemies like Keese and Guardian Skywatchers with the final boss being Windblight Ganon. That's my prediction for Revali's part of the game.
This should be called Revali's Flight Plan. :) Moonstone city!
Dang wasn’t here early but still excited for this amazing video!!
Is this information all in masterworks, or do you speculate some of it? For future videos, would you mind putting like a sign, even if it's a small asterisk at the bottom of the screen so we know if you're speculating?
Almost all of it’s from Masterworks.
Wish more was in BotW.
The actual roads they take is from Masterworks. They gameplay scenarions inbetween are completely speculative. Thats why I put that "Gameplay scenario" text on the screen. I actually forgot to add it in 2 cases in this video, but I will correct that in the compilation video.
Everytime I hear the Champion's themes I always think of the Man on the Internet's version of 'em
Aerial battles don't seem likely, I mean Revali can't fly and shoot at the same time since he only has 2 "hands"
Revali is the best.
The link to HMK'S Channel leads to the Commonwealth Realm, just for your information
Amazing Video as always :D !
Fixed it. Thanks!
The next episode is Mipha, right? That one's gonna be a tearjerker....
Revali will stop and fight. Not for anybody else, but for those sweet sweet bragging rights
Great videos keep it up :) you have came so far
I'm mad if Revali doesn't get his own section! I don't care what you make him do just let me play as him in the story😂👌🏽 and please more rivalry shown between him and Link 🥺 I hope they include your ideas, I wouldn't mind war plane game play but I think that's not so propable since hw didn't really have anything extra like that... 🤔 Looking forward to the next vid!!!! 😍
Well he could still get his own section, just not in the air, but grounded. Which would be more boring to me... but they. Maybe the devs cannot implement it into their engine
Did you render those 3D models of the guardian skywatchers yourself? If you did, they look amazing! (BTW the map looks awesome too!)
I rendered, retextured, and animated them. But I didn't model them. The models actually come from the game itself.
Just a note, bow users have been in Warriors games many times before, and no, none of the downsides you mentioned are a big issue. They usually have an advanced skillset, or their ranged advantage is simply great enough that they never have to deal with melee attacks to begin with.
Does anyone see that the link in description send us to the wrong channel
Gosh, you are right. That is the link from the previous collaborator. It has been updated now ^^
=)
For some reason I thought the profile pic was a piano, just realized they are two em s
Haha, you are not the first one to say that. At first I had no idea what people were talking about. But now I see what they mean
