Mipha's storyline is most likely gonna be the hardest for me :,( Though I'm gonna be so happy if we get a Daruk and Mipha sequence omg!! I can't believe we're getting updates on the game tomorrow, I'm so excited!
Honestly, Lizalfos remind me of Velociraptors from Jurassic Park. They're incredibly sneaky, there can be one right next to you and you'd never know until it rushes in for the kill, they're incredibly fast, typically stay in groups. They can also anticipate when you would attempt to hit them, so they rush in only to jump away at the last second to dodge your strike. If you think about it, Lizalfos are probably the smartest enemy in breath of the wild, probably even smarter than Lynels
They should be. They make steel weapons, instead of using branches and bone. Lynels make quality weapons too, but they're native to Death Mountain, so that makes sense.
Not to mention that they're the only monsters smart enough to throw their weapons, which is a good way to surprise an opponent by turning a melee weapon into a projectile.
Their fighting style also reflects their intelligence. Hit and run tactics are never used by moblins or bokoblins. Lynels are still a bit smarter though since they see through the Lynel disguise.
my expectations were high but MAN! Can't believe this series is everything in botw lore i ever needed but didn't know until it's done! i'm so happy you're making it and i'm proud of your work, it's so beautiful e well done, congrats!! Looking forward for the next episodes :)
I'd like to think Mipha is smart. she wouldn't just 'fall' or 'be trapped' by the waterblight, but be forced to sacrifice herself, probably to save baby Sidon who happened to follow big sister and fight the enemy together. Confident young Sidon gets captured or threatened by the waterblight as it appears (which takes Mipha aback, as we see in the cutscene), so Mipha steels her resolve and jumps in the fray to send her younger brother out to safety, and take a grievous wound from the waterblight. She manages to fight it off long enough to keep everyone safe... and shed one last tear as she won't be able to give the armor she crafted for her dear champion Link... ...this is why it'll be the darkest game yet :(
I feel like Dorephan would be awesome. Seeing a character who you've only seen as a seated giant finally get up, work those old bones, and kick some tail seems like a really epic moment in the story if start that off with a cutscene.
I think we could call it tragically cut short rather than simply unrequited. Would like to think that with the childhood connection she had more than a fair chance to end up with Link if things hadn't ended tragically. One nice thing I suppose for her is that she can eventually pass on knowing Link is alive. Not the perfect result, but...could be worse.
Honestly, I disagree. Mipha would still easily be the most heartbreaking character even if she didn love Link, because she loves so many more people than him. She cared deeply about her people and her family, losing that is possibly even more painful than unrequited love.
@@MonsterMaze Really? With all the mountain ranges, beaches, and forests of BOTW, I'd definitely NEVER find Zoras domain all that attractive. A slab of (albeit, intricate and elegant) stone down in the bottom of this gully. Nothing to see from the actual main hub but the walls of the canyon. Initially I intended to offer what I considered most beautiful but honestly there's no way I could pick, I'm constantly in awe of this games wonder.
King Dorephan is said to be one of the best Zora warriors so it would be a damn shame to not see him in action considering that he basically suplexed a guardian off a cliff, the way it could play out is that you start as the king in the initial defense of Zora's domain and then perhaps sometime mid level or near the end Mipha arrives to reinforce her home.
What I love about the Great Calamity is the stakes seemed high. Hyrule was getting their bums handed to them by the very machines meant to protect them. There’s something intimidating about seeing the pig cloud swirling around the castle, and the five spires fire up from below ground to counter it.
You know what I've noticed from the trailer, that probably the game will begin much sooner that we think, maybe even many year before the calamity begins, why, because the first image that we see of link he is not wearing his champion uniform, is wearing the hylian soldier armor, so, he is a soldier, much earlier than when he became a champion in the first memory in breath of the wild
I find it incredible how the dev team has programmed a video game that is so good, that dozens of people (including myself) see it like it was completely real...
This is a video series I've always wanted to see...to go into great detail about each of their selected paths that they took to their respective Divine beasts, phenomenal work! I absolutely enjoy every single one of these that's been coming out, and here's to looking forward to that update tomorrow!^^
I always found Mipha's story to be the best out of all the champions. When you first arrive and everyone hates you for failing to defeat gannon the first time (or they just straight hate hylians if you don't have the master sword) it really sets the mood. And of course finding out that link and mipha kinda had a thing between eachother kinda kicks you in the nutsack as well.
I wouldn't think the Great Calamity would be a fuzzy memory for Prince Sidon, especially considering how close he and Mipha seemed to be. I'd figure he'd would've been as distraught as everyone else in the Domain, and would've remembered the some of the more traumatic events of the Calamity. But because of his sister's faith in him, and the fact that she was counting on him to protect the kingdom "should fate ever depart [them]", he took her death as inspiration. Hence why he's so energetic and skilled today
I love how you collaborated with all the greatest Zelda channel youtubers for this series! I wonder however what the other 2 episodes will be about cause you already dealt with all 5 champions and Zelda. Keep up the good work ❤️
Great analysis of Mipha's journey! Glad you remembered about the grieving Zora stuff, it really adds depth to the story. I've been hoping for playable King Dorephan ever since the trailer dropped, and I reeeally hope we get to play as him, at least a little bit. Good video!
Mipha is not underrated imo. the one is underrated is Revali. most of people hates Revali because of his pompous and asshole personality without really understanding why he became like that in the first place. Mipha on the other way, got more affection and adoration from the fans because of her crush for link and her kind personality. also her Mipha's Grace will save everyone ass lmao, so yeah she is definitely not underrated
Oh my god !! I missed this one too ! 😭 Mipha is my favorite champion, IM SO SAD 😭😭 Well, I’m gonna watch it now... Cause I know it’s gonna be amazing as always ! (Still super sad I missed it though) ;◡;
Another excellent episode! Even though Mipha isn't one of my favorite characters, I admit that she has one of the best story lines in the game and also possibly the most fleshed out one. I can't wait for tomorrow and the rest of the Hero's Path videos!
Since we all know Miphas tragedy, i think her death wont hit me that much (i really hope so). Nevertheless, i am stoked for her gameplay! Croton is always a good co-narrator, and the graphics were amazing. Looking forward to the rest!
Smething y'all are ignoring is that the king had a bunch of guardians at his disposal and may have dispatched some to near villages for presumed protection in this way the game could justify guardians being in the villages as enemies prior to them coming out of the pillars
I stopped everything as soon as I saw the notif but was still late to the premier 😭😭 I love these videos tho and this one was amazing Both of you kept me enthralled the whole time an I can't wait for the next video
I have a hard time imagining Mipha going past her Vah Ruta to fight in Zora's Domain, and then backtrack to it. Maybe Vah Ruta is in East Reservoir Lake instead of on the mountain where it attacks Ganon. Vah Ruta is in the lake during the Memory of Mipha and in the Era of the Wild. That would also justify her going to Zora's Domain and helping to defend her home.
I’ve always been curious about Mipha’s and Link’s childhood. Or just Link’s childhood in general. I can’t help but wonder how long Mipha could’ve possibly known the secret to Zelda unlocking her sacred power... you don’t just conveniently come up with that the minute The Great Calamity spawns after 10,000 years of dormancy when you’ve been practicing that way for years. I think she knew, but chose to keep that secret as long as she could because I can imagine that hurt her if she noticed Zelda spending more time with him (oh, the drama in this game lol). It was very evident in Mipha’s diary she was in a rush to propose to Link with the armor she created herself when he was visiting the domain without Zelda’s presence. Can’t wait to see how much this game explains and how far back it goes exactly!
that's really surprising seeing how professional the channel is already. i hope the community keeps growing and i'm also looking forward to the next two episodes of the hero's path :)
At least we got to see the champions path in this series, and lets hope for gameplay video and some playable character later tonight, thanks for the great works
No it would be cool to play as Sidon before the great calamity because they knew Sidon playing as Sidon when Michael teaches him to swim up the waterfall would be cool
In one of the previous videos, I asked you how you get shots like 6:06. You said by standing against a wall or and turn the camera towards the thing you want to capture, which will make Link disapear. How'd you do it for this shot? Did you use a mod? (If it's a mod, can I have the name of the mod?) Also, how'd you get a guardian near the domain at 8:14 if there are no guardians near Zora's Domain?
Next to Zelda and Link, Mipha's portion of the story is the one I'm looking forward to the most. Even though it's going to be incredibly sad to watch child Sidon lose his sister.
I wonder how they will set it up though, because how are you gonna play a boss fight in which you are scripted to lose? If you can't win, there's no point in doing it. My thought is that either you don't play the fight at all (they will just be cutscenes) or you will be forced to play as the Blights.
@@tonytan5945 my personal opinion is that if you lose, the blight unleashes a special attack on you and you die and if you win he will be knocked on the floor but will surprise the champion by unleashing his final attack so you lose either way.in the trailer it shows the champions shocked as the blight unleashes his secret attack probably after you think you won
I just thought of something that, as far as I'm aware, no zelda theory channel has really mentioned, and that's the impact the blood moon could have on the battles the champions face right before entering their divine beast. It's stated that the first blood moon appeared on the day of the calamity, we even see it in the games trailer at the moment ganon surfaces. This would mean that all enemies the player defeated earlier in the game are once again wreaking havoc. This is especially important for Mipha, since early in the game, Zora's domain is attacked by a group of bokoblins and a lynel, which would all respawn at the place they died. If living monsters attacked the domain at the exact moment old enemies were revived the zora's could be facing twice the amount of enemies. Same goes for the Gerudo who might have been attacked by yiga before the calamity appeared, only for them to come back at the worst moment. And Daruk might even have to fight that large group of enemies that Link already defeated in that one memory.
Yea Zora's Domain is perhaps the most defendable le place in all of hyrule bar perhaps Death Mountain. With well defended check points using the natural barriers it provides, no army what so ever could ever invade the Domain provided they can maintain their own resources. Starving the Zora out or them messing up an attack is the only way an invasion could be successful.
I think one misconception people are having with the appearance of Guardians is that prior to the Calamity, a lot of Guardinas were excavated around Hyrule, and I doubt all of them were shipped to Hyrule Castle for studying. Obviously most of the Guardians that led to the devastation of Hyrule came from the pillars around the Castle, but I would say it is fairly possible that some rougue Guardians were already scattered in Hyrule from the excavations. That would explain why in the trailer Mipha is attacking a Guardian while it is impossible for them to have travelled from the Castle to her route to Vah Ruta
That is actually a pretty smart take. I don't know if they would have been corrupted if they weren't first dug up and activated though. It also doesn't take away the fact that the backstory of botw confirms that no guardian (except for the one in upland zorana) ever touched Zora's Domain. But I do like your idea actually. Its almost scary to think that guardians would be rising from the ground almost like zombies... yikes
In my opinion Mipha's Death will probably be the most devastating and saddest especially for the player because why would anyone want to hurt such a Pure Soul like Mipha. 😢 I'm definitely gonna cry when I play Age of Calamity 😭. Also hey Monster Maze I love your videos and I really like your voice! ^w^ hope you have a wonderful day!!

Mipha's story got the most tragic theme song for the most tragic ending.
In one of the previous videos, I asked you how you get shots like 6:06. You said by standing against a wall or and turn the camera towards the thing you want to capture, which will make Link disapear. How'd you do it for this shot? Did you use a mod? (If it's a mod, can I have the name of the mod?)
Also, how'd you get a guardian near the domain at 8:14 if there are no guardians near Zora's Domain?
Next to Zelda and Link, Mipha's portion of the story is the one I'm looking forward to the most. Even though it's going to be incredibly sad to watch child Sidon lose his sister.
I knew this one was going to make me cry
Great video! How do you do these scenes where you fly by hyrule?
There's a free use online 3d map of hyrule
*cough* mods... *cough*
That final battle with the blight is gonna be hard though...
I wonder how they will set it up though, because how are you gonna play a boss fight in which you are scripted to lose? If you can't win, there's no point in doing it. My thought is that either you don't play the fight at all (they will just be cutscenes) or you will be forced to play as the Blights.
@@tonytan5945 my personal opinion is that if you lose, the blight unleashes a special attack on you and you die and if you win he will be knocked on the floor but will surprise the champion by unleashing his final attack so you lose either way.in the trailer it shows the champions shocked as the blight unleashes his secret attack probably after you think you won
okay but when i tell you the ending made me cry
I'm curious to see what the next two parts will be on. Maybe the guardians themselves, and then the escaping hylians and soldiers?
Haven't watched it yet but i know its gonna be amazing
How did you get that 3D affect on the map?
Yes, And the blood moon migth also cause the ressurection of the remains of the dead stal enemies, which we actually do see in the trailer.
It wud b awesome if we cud go thru the "trials" talked about in the champions ballad as the champions! :)
Could we possibly get links to the music that serenade of water remix was sick
I'm more of a Zelink guy, but can we just get some Fs for our favorite Zora Princess?
...I wouldnt mind if they did an alternate reality plotline AS LONG AS MIPHA DOESNT DIE
Good news, EVERYONE LIVES! :D
Even the Shark woman! :D
That was amazing!!!
Ooh, who made that Song of Healing remix at the beginning?
Although you only have 25k subscribers, you make very good videos. Even a youtuber with 1 million subscribers wouldn't do such professional videos.
So amazing
Mipha's storyline will destroy my chest and eyes
I wonder if waterblight ganon destroyed hers.
