Clef is my favorite. I also love tiny magical companions! The Stormlight Archive has that element as well and I love it!

I really enjoyed this book. I read it for last months Tome Topple. The only tiny gripe I have with it is the constant explaining of THE RIGS. But other than that, the characters were fun, loved how Sancia and Gregor teamed up, love the asshole mad scientist guy and the ending was so fun. Can't wait for the sequel! (maja)

I haven't read this book, but I wonder if the reference to a Moses-type is more in a reference to Judaism. Why I say this is because Moses is a very Hebrew figure but more importantly, the "living objects" that you can talk to and convince remind me a bit of golems from Jewish....I don't want to say folklore, but it's where they come from.

So glad you enjoyed this!! I listened to this an audiobook earlier this year and honestly as amazing as the magic system and world is (and they are truely spectacular) but it's the characters that just grab your heart and make this book pop. Can't wait for the next book and am gutted I have to wait another year!

I added gregor to my glass case of boyfriends so fast.
AND ORSO. I fell in love with him at first sentence, basically.

I'm so glad I watched a previous video where you talked about this book. I just finished it today and I absolutely fell in love with it. Probably one of the best fantasy books I've read lately. Loved all your comments in this video. The whole world and the characters were so wonderful. I can't wait for the next one!

I actually finished this book about 10 minutes ago (so great timing for your video) and I was very pleasantly surprised by Foundryside. I liked all of the characters more than I was expecting to and the world was just so fascinating. Orso made me laugh many times just because of how to-the-point he was. Also, I loved his little twist at the end of the book. I don't often read many adult fantasy books anymore, but I would definitely consider continuing reading this series.

This book doesn't really interest me, but I have his "American Elsewhere" which I got back in 2016 when we had a book fair here in town. Not sure if he was actually in town himself, but I picked it up full price which I never do.

I just finished this book and I loved it so much! I honestly read this book because I heard you talk about it and I was like I guess I'll give it a shot and boy am I glad I did! I now want someone in my life to read so I can talk about it! Because everything I want to say and discuss would be way to long for any comment haha

I DNFed it too :( Was really upset because I wanted to love it, but there was something about the setting/world and the magic system that wasn't drawing me in.
