You are bad ass bro. Best testing on RUclips hands down and you test real knives that come from good tasteful selection. I wish more people watched your reviews because theres so many people who think cold steel is the only manufacturer that can do there silly tests. Keep it up man you kick ass!
I've had this knife for 22 years and absolutely put it through unimaginable mistreatment. It is still my most favorite and 1st choice today. For all my adventures large and small. Absolutely reliable is an understatement.
I think you just made me decide what I will be picking up very soon. That test where you did the pull ups using the blade really showed just how durable and trustworthy the construction is. And for the price, it's a steal compared to what you see others asking for.
Newer models come with a false edge and different (better) sheath nowadays! The things I like about the knife is its versatility. Its good at both defensive use and outdoor chores alike in my experience. Especially with the recent upgrades.
Good !! I'm glad you just did all the shit to yours that I don't want to test on my own!!!....have had this knife in a drawer for about I don't know 6-7 years now ?....figured it was pretty good just by my own analysis of it, but happening across this video and you testing it the way you did , simply confirmed my original impressions of it......great job..☑️
Excellent test sir, of a very fine fixed blade. I bought one of these a year ago and it serves me very well as a general purpose outdoor knife, for splitting up small firewood pieces, making tender, chopping branches and making trails. I use it in place of a machete or small hatchet and it works great. Plus i keep it sharp with a beefy edge and i trust it for animal defense when i cant have my Pistol with me.
Great video. I used to have one of these knives and I loved the blade design but, the handle and tang were less than desirable. The tang is not very stout and mine broke on the tang near the pommel. The sheath is an absolute piece of garbage and that is an insult to garbage. I would like to have another provided the tang issue is addressed.
+Effoknock Gaming Ontarios SP line sheats are piece of crap. VERY poorly made and will break quickly. So you will have to make your own sheat from kydex or something else. I don't have Kabar but I'd say go with Kabar just because you will get knife + good enough sheat. Kabars aren't bulletproof and if you will do some weird stuff they will bend near handle. But if you just want knife to cut stuff or cary for protection then kabar should be fine.
That is how I bought mt cold steek GI Tonto. I watched a video where someone tested the balde like this video. He took a rubber mallet and cut into a car door about 3"-4". After that I just needed to buy it. I have the Ontario kukri, but this is $25 cheeper then the kabar USMC blade. I saw we all juggle knives review he had It side to side with the two knives . But this is a grate test thanks!
Glad to see someone start to take NOSS's place. I will be interested to see your testing protocol develop. I would suggest you push the knife to actually break like NOSS. Let's see what these baby's can take! (the Busse NOSS test is legendary)
+Ashleys Gymnastics & More! Well, My test is pretty extreme. I am thankful that you watch my videos, and please feel free to share with friends. Thanks for watching ! Mayor Fuglycool
have either of you tested the ontario RAK? I picked one up a month ago. tested it out. loved it. keeps an excellent edge. i have not tested it with bricks or cinder blocks tho.... lol.
Cold Steel must hate America or something seeing as how they don't make anything here (note tinge of sarcasm). I have a few of theirs but they need to make some stuff stateside like they used to. They don't even use Japan anymore. Kind of cheap imo.

@@jnzupka , gotta give it to the 1/4" 5160 saber grind SP51. That thing is a beast and it is a shame they discontinued it. Their current catalog is rather pathetic now.
@Jaime Lion, yes they discontinued the almost all of the SP line. Luckily I picked up the SP51, SP49, SP46 and SP43 years ago. Haven’t even used any of them yet except the SP51. Kinda don’t see the point with the others since the SP51 is indestructible.
The only knife I can vouch for is the Ontario SP5-93 only because I purchased it in 1994 and used it for countless trips into the gnarly undergrowth forests mostly of Tennessee and Washington St. for hunting, hiking and metal detecting. Battoned with it, hacked thru serious small trees and vines and giant blackberry stalks and Scotch Broom. Meanwhile inadvertently smacking rocks and hidden metal fencing as I now use it for maintaining vegetation that grows around signal and electrical service cabinets working for the DOT alongside state routes. The undergrowth in WA State is giant due to the endless rain we have here for months on end. It can be jungle-like as it is a temperate rain forest scenario. So after lots of usage not a problem other than an ever so minute wiggle in the handle. But this is after frequent usage over 23 years and lots of chopping on small trees up to 2 inches in diameter to clear trails and make trails. The Handle goes all the way through to a lanyard hole so it is more than a rat-tail-tang. The ergonomics and balance is great and relatively light weight. Can't say enough how much I got my money's worth and enjoyed my knife pictured on my page. I don't do reviews so thank you Mayor Fuglycool for helping me to pull the trigger on this Ontario Sp6 with a similar handle but with an other-purpose blade shape. If the 1095 is as good on this one as it has been on mine then voila another great user knife that will last. This video helps. Mine holds an edge and it is not difficult to put another edge on it or to tune it up. I would love to see a lateral strength test by standing on the handle and doing a bounce test. Though your lateral test was interesting as well but the other way is more serious. Thanks
I've got this knife and four other fixed blades from Ontario. It's one of my favorite midsize blade. It's a toss up between it and my old Cold Steel Recon out of Carbon V. Both blades were made in the US and both are first rate tactical blades regardless of cost imo. The Recon is stronger but the SP6 has a reach advantage and a better grip. Ive got Cold Steels GI tanto as well which is also pretty awesome but the steel isn't as good as the others. Any of these blades are worth investing in if you want a solid tactical knife you can depend on. I like your tests. They really show the blades capabilities past anything most people will have to do with a knife.

Mayor, good test. I agree with you that the cinder-block test is a valid test of knife durability. It is my favorite test that you do. There is a valid application in the bush that corresponds with your test. As I might have mentioned on the Gerber LMF II(?) test, I often carry an Ontario RTAK-II when I am out in the bush. And most of the time I have to clear trails. So rather than using the sharpened edge to cut smaller (1in. or less in diameter) limbs off trees, I use the back of the blade. This technique saves the edge for more appropriate tasks, and gets good use from the back of the steel. It keeps my knife sharp for much longer periods of time, which, like matches and tinder, is a good thing to have when you need it. Those who think your rock-bashing is not "real world" do not spend sufficient time in the "wild world". Keep it up. JD - www.boernebushmasters.org

I subscribed because the content is badass and I think your channel would take off with some production value. Maybe also some more humor or fun. Check out Alec Steele and Cedric & Ada channels for what I'm talking about. Just my two cents. Really enjoying your channel.
Okc military machete, okc okc3s, and Kabar bk7
I would love to see these on your channel
+no_good_namez I do have an OKC Chimera that is awaiting testing :)

That's pretty much the same as the okc3s with no bayonet lug and has different serrations but it'll do lol but I still wanna see the others
I made a good choice. I brought the knife!
You should review some type of smith and Wesson knife.
+Boman441 Yeah ! I have been thinking about it :)

Hahaha don't try this at home chopping wood is child's play in the Philippines
Yep. . . While busting cinder blocks, penetrating ammo cans, standing on blades, and finally doing pull ups on knives is child's play in Texas. Thanks for watching friend ! ;)

Have you ever served in the military?
+Zack Hammers Fuck no! Can't you tell how he jumps around all nimbly nimbly? Dude is a total kook!
I served in the military and we didn't knife fight, we used rifles
