Great interview! I too played many MGA/NYC area amateur events, but I started back in at age 49 as I lived in Brooklyn at the time. I've used a lot of the types of concepts and thinking Jon discusses here to help me elevate my game into being a competitive am player (I had my first top 20 finish in a Senior Pro regional open event this season as an am). I turn 55 this November so I will be able to play Senior Am tournament golf for the 2024 season (finally!) so I look forward to continuing to developing my overall game and refining my mental and course management skill sets. The concepts Jon discusses in this episode are really a great way to lower scores and break through personal boundaries -- great stuff as always TTC crew!

Tournament golf is just so damn fun. For all the reasons good and bad. It's just a good stress on the golf game. Nothing will beat the feeling

Agreed. That additional stress helps find weak spots that don't get exposed in casual play
