Bro, if it’s from Apple, the legs will be sold separately, The whole thing will be made by glass, and the charging port will be upside down. Remember, your next desk is not a desk
Don't forget the dongle you'll have to buy separately to use headphones with the desk which then goes into your pc. Also it uses a proprietary charging port to lift

Damn good video! Thanks for this. I'm 6'2, and I've seen the many conflicting reports of wobble vs no wobble. So I really think I've gotta wait for a V2. And Secretlab has already pulled an Apple. The white model is essentially the "S" refresh. Cause it allows you to switch legs, so now you can have the power plug on either side
@@quintenpieters1937 unfortunately, it's not. The weirdest part is that for the video that shows it (it's unlisted, which is just as weird) they're using the black desk lmao
honestly i got a custom desk built out of black walnut trim and walnut vaneer for $400 CAD and bought my own sit stand legs for $300 to mount it on. The quality seems better and more customization than most desks I see for twice the price. It's still wobbly at full height seems like a common problem with stand desks not sure if there's a way around it.... I was looking for a new desk I think ill just build the desk and buy the legs it seems like the best option and most personal.
Yeah definitely. Mine has been solid ever since I got it! Buttt, SL have released their own heavy duty arm so may be worth looking into that as an alternative as it may work more seamlessly with the desk and is also similarly priced. But haven’t tried it so can’t recommend without reserve haha
Still can't beat Autonomous Man, which is my dream desk for its freaking load capacity of 140KG and has 2 layered motor system which also makes it almost wobble-free. but in the country where I live things getting here are nightmares and impossible so ended up buying Ikea's Uppspel which Is quite the best but has fewer features in terms of weight, but it does have a cable management tray which is quite good.
@@DoctorShaene I love my desky desk! It s been great, you can buy a power power strip that can be installed in the cable management system, and a drawer that you can install on the desk
I just bought, the desk, I have no jolt and no wobble. Might be that I got the lottery win for perfection. I agree with the leg power supply, could be solved if the legs were made to be interchangeable. Also the cover of the back tray could be designed not to need 4 screws to remove and just have 1 butterfly screw to lock with a little engineering. It is the best desk in the price range for what it offers, a wood top desk with a lot of wobble and the OEM controller that can be bumped with the chair is over 2000 euro, and that's only the desk, with no cable management. I paid mine 2000 but with 4 arms with the riser with 2 extra sets of magnets, full bring. I am not going back from this desk.
Do they offer a DIY version? (legs and controller and what not) Because the best thing about a new desk is to design and create your own top and do cable management and such...
I think also, the USP of this desk is actually to take away the time needed to source desk tops and to do cable management etc. Which works well for me but maybe not for everyone!
Hey, I see you have put your MacBook laptop on a vertical stand. Do you open the flap every time you want to switch on the MacBook. I would also like to know how you switch between Macbook and Mac Studio. Appreciate your inputs
And they would've done it both better and cheaper with many customization options for customer instead of forcing overpriced version of whatever they think is the best (mostly for their own business) down their throats :)
The closest other desk with a built in cable tray with access that has a half decent design, that I’ve seen, is the desk from Benflo: Tenon Desk. But that’s more than double the price of the Magnus Pro XL and not even sure you can get it in the U.K. :(
We do need a her to come along 🫠 Or Secretlab to drop a V2 to drop the price of this V1. Although tbh, compared to its direct rivals, price is somewhat on par. Still premium though for sure.
I have the standard size version of this desk and I LOVE it. I can think of only 3 cons so far in my year or so of using it.... 1. As you mentioned, the cable for the desk only coming out of the left side of the desk is super annoying, and it's the only visible cable in my setup. 2. The plastic on the control panel seems to be pretty easy to damage... I've got a large scuff on mine somehow, and I don't know if there's a way to remove it. 3. The leatherette cover on the top of the desk seems fairly durable, but I did notice that if you use a monitor arm, the pressure from that leaves a permanent indent in the material if moved. I also noticed recently that I've got a small little puncture on the right side of the desk... Not sure how that could have happened. Overall this is an amazing desk and perfectly suits my needs. I would 100% recommend any of the accessories you can get for it.
One needs to consider it's a gaming company first and foremost. Much of the aesthetic options you want aren't necessarily in the game realm. Also, kinda sad you didn't give them a 6th Pro - the packaging. Pretty much top of the line in the industry - bar none.
As deadly yep. But they do sell an add on Ethernet port extender which makes it integrated. Here (not affiliate): secretlab.co.uk/products/ethernet-cable-extender?sku=MLANCBLEXT-BLACK
Basically I need it to convert the analogue signal of the mic into a digital signal that a computer/ audio recorder can recognise and record and also to amplify the signal (cos the SM7b has a very low signal output)
Overpriced just like Apple products. For a all-in-one integrated product. With their vision and execution in the most minimalistic functional form factor. Definitely not a buyer either But this all black standing desk definitely uses more design language from the gaming industry than Apple’s 🤷♂️😌
If Apple made a desk it’ll probably cost a life😅 then you probably have to watch endless tutorials on how to use it, jump through hoops to customize it to your needs, and it’ll only be repairable by Apple or possibly Apple certified companies.😓
If you have to watch endless tutorials to use an Apple product, you’re doing it wrong. The people who usually say this are people who want to keep doing things just the way they did it on their Windows and Android devices. If you feel the need to mold your Mac into a PC or your iPhone into an Android phone, don’t switch to Apple.
Are they really trying to patent built-in power supply, as a simple extension from the wall outlet, as though this is something new? Then again, apple attempted and perhaps even succeeded, I forget, to patent round corners...
Am I the only one thinking this desk is horrible? It does nothing special that a couple minutes of solid cable routing can't do, and it adds unusable space with that ugly cable tray, forcing your display even closer to your face. Not good for the eyes.
No hate to the creator or his opinion but DO NOT BUY THIS DESK. By doing any amount of research online you will find countless negative reviews about it's wobble and other build quality comments. Although the cable management, aesthetic, and built in pad sound great it's not. I have spent over 6 months finding the perfect standing desk and have landed on the Apex Pro by Desk Haus. I am not promoting them, just saying what I ended up purchasing. This desk it good for those who think they might get rid of it in a year, but if you want to future proof invest in something that is stable and even more customizable.
Respectfully. In "your opinion " you didn't like this desk. But to come in the comments and tell people because "you" looked for a desk for 6 months. , now "you" deemed the secret lab desk a do not buy,... well respectfully. That's rich. So In "my research" that took a year. (6 months more then your research )". I think the secret lab desk is a BUY!
@@nickhummer5775 Sorry if I was too aggressive with my comment. I did not mean for it to come off that way. I think your point is totally valid, and I bet the Secretlab desk works great for you. The magnis pro is nice but i heard it wobbled using the standing features. That and it seems to lack features. So I went with Desky Desk.
The wobble is there increasingly worse over 115cm
But tbh it’s not terrible and pretty solid for standing heights below 115cm
