Sara, an IT professional & Stephen a graphic designer and artist are world-traveling Canadians who dreamt of moving to Europe, and France in particular. In 2020 they were working from home when Stephen turned to Sara and popped the question she was longing to hear, “What would have to be true for us to buy a chateau in France?” They searched online for months viewing hundreds of properties. They narrowed their search and toured some properties when they happened upon the one that captured our hearts, Château de Saint-Germain-des-Prés. A year later they made the move to France to start their new adventure in our beautiful Château. They created “Manor and Maker” to reflect the two sides of their adventure. One, to live as chateau owners with all the ups and downs and two, to pursue their passions as makers, creating art in all its forms. They will invite others to come together, united by their passions, to share in this adventure. We invite you to join us too, as we bring our dreams to life. Welcome to Manor & Maker.

Lovely wedding. Just wondering…..can you pressure wash the stone on your castle? I noticed the balcony the two of you were standing on is black in areas and some other places around it. I live in the US, Tennessee specifically and we hire someone every year to clean our brick and stones. The mold just looks nasty. Again congratulations to you both and wishes for many more years.

@@carolinegooder7091 no it isn't, it's steve and Sarah's place when they are on the balcony, he even says we didn't do the ring ceremony at the wedding so we are doing it now.

It is a « Pièce montée », traditional wedding cake in the provinces in France. Small cream puffs are sticked with caramel.

Not sure about this wedding weekend. Their wedding outfits were more for a theatre production than a wedding. Steve’s jacket was rather carnival like. Most guests didn’t know what to say about his outfit. They could have been married in Canada 10-15 years ago. Not sure about the dress code for the wedding either. Steve’s father was quite distinguished. Some people made an effort to dress nicely. Looks like it was thrown together. Was this wedding just done to gain more viewers? To add content to their channel? Seems like they r trying to silence their critics back home. You can tell by Sarah’s comments. I have watched a few of their videos, but I’m really not interested and am not watching the other wedding videos or their renovations moving forward.
