I personally have that type of relationship my best friend. I'll sit on her lap or we'll cuddle while laying down, etc. But it's In no way strange for you to dislike that. It's not necessarily the "normal" thing to do nor is it comfortable in a lot of cases. Some people aren't exactly touchy-feely.

Sorry you probably don't want pity but I find "not believing in friendship" really sad. It's sad to see that you won't believe in it anymore because of the fake ones you've had. You should also look at who you surround yourself with because I mean, if you keep surrounding yourself with these "fake" friends, of course you're gonna find yourself hurt. Surround yourself with people you know are better, and don't give up on finding those good people out there who can be the bestest friend you can rely on. Don't let bad experiences stop you fr finding someone who'll bring beautiful memories and will always have your back. Please don't give up.

I met my best friend in 4th grade and we clicked automatically. We were so close and so alike, such a perfect friendship. We did so much weird shit together X) I was so outgoing and happy.
Then we went to high school.
We went to different schools. I knew no-one.
We're sophomores and since then it hasn't been the same.
I've developed a LOT of anxiety that's crippling me, and its killing me. Having this has prevented me from making friends.
I'm losing/have lost my best friend and I am scared of everything including talking to people. I've lost my identity. I don't know who I am.
It''ve been suffering everyday for 11 months, mostly from My anxiety.

I went through the same thing in middle school. In highschool, I started becoming more and more outgoing. I'm a sophomore in college now, and I look back to middle school and remember how I was the kid who sat by herself, waiting for others to come to me, then acting uncomfortable when they came near me. I regret it. If I were as outgoing as I am now back then, I would've been friends with at least half those kids and been much happier.
My advice to you is to open up and join them! If someone is nice to you, tries to talk to you, or just seems like a friendly person, go say Hi and hang out with that person! Don't be afraid to get up and go over to whete evryone seems to be having fun. Look up and decide if you want to be someone's friend and go do it. I know it sounds hard, but, go do it. It's not so scary :)
As for your identity, it's whatever you want it to be. You want to be that cool, friendly person who likes these books, these movies, this and that and some of that too, and you want to try that? Go ahead. Whatever makes you happy!
