Claire Danes is one of the most brilliant, enchanting, eloquent and talented actresses I have ever seen. She deserved this award very much and I see she is pregnant. I also heard she was really pregnant when she was acting pregnant in Homeland. Hands up and Kudos to the Drone Queen. Lol
I just started watching this show, and I hooked, Claire Danes is phenomenal, and as is the cast. I just wished I had watched this show sooner.. better late than never..! Tv Shows, such as this and the writing.. are so outstanding compared to movies that are out in the cinema these days..just my opinion..
Wow! I know your comment is over 7 years old... but what a coincidence reading it! LoL I was telling my Good friend just last night that I finally started watching Homeland as he recommended, and my exact words were "I Wish I found this Amazing series and got to watch it Sooner! "🤣 I mean seriously, it's truly the Best show ever created for television, and see why Clare Danes received multiple Emmys for her extraordinary acting! 👍🏼🤯
@@HoldenNY22 not sure if you continued watching past season 2 yet.. YES Absolutely... the latter seasons are definitely a must watch! Just like yourself, I was debating whether I should carry on after season 2, and I'm so happy I did! An Epic, incomparable series! Also I've kind of developed a somewhat of a TV crush with Claire Danes character.. Definitely some of the best high caliber acting I've seen from anyone to date..👏👏
Award for "Homeland" (Showtime, 2012)... Who deserved to be the winner as a supporting actor Homeland sent all of his supporting actors for Emmy consideration (yes, even Chris Brody), now the only one with a chance - and a good chance - to a nomination is our own teddy bear, Mandy Patinkin. After being despised by a nomination last year, which surprised almost everyone, he is in a good position to enter the roster this year. On the positive side, Patinkin is loved on this show, playing probably the nicest character (he's not the mole, guys). Saul's role has become more prominent this season and with that came more critical acclaim. The second season may have been a shit storm of action and scary watched sex and punches and runs, but the Bear was at the center of it all, calm and quiet and a force to be reckoned with. He still has two featured shipping tapes in "The Clearing" and "The Choice" (I would choose "The Choice", which I consider a more powerful performance, but it's just me). And because Supporting Actor is a weaker overall category this year than last year (when two strong performances, Jared Harris in Mad Men and Giancarlo Esposito in Breaking Bad, both ineligible this year, received nominations), he is likely to succeed, probably comfortably. Still, you may wonder why Patinkin, who has won an Emmy and participated in several TV shows in the past twenty years, has not gotten a nomination. I think he was probably the seventh or eighth in last year's vote, so he narrowly missed. It was a stronger category last year and Homeland was nowhere near as popular as it is today. It was generally agreed that the show underperformed in the nominations. Sure, he made up for his surprising wins, but that his wins were surprising (he benefited a lot from the tape system, like a more recent program) says he still didn't have the influence or prominence of a Mad Men or even a Breaking Bad . Mandy Patinkin looks set to receive a nomination for this role for the first time. His Golden Globe nomination earlier this year will certainly help him, as will his character's increased presence this season and the program's growing overall profile.
I noticed one thing that was similiar to both the Emmy Winners of the Sopranos and Homeland. Both Casts and Crew of both never Thanked the Organizations that their Shows were about. The Sopranos never Thank the Mafia for the being allowed to tell Mafia Stories . And at least from Claire DAnes wins in both the Emmy and Golden Globes- she never Thanked the CIA. Actually both organizations- the CIA and Mafia did work together although not always for the Greater Good.
So that clip was from Marine One. I assume that the episode an actor or actress uses for the Emmys is what they show a clip of. And I can't remember if I read somewhere that she used Marine One. I thought I have. But I've also read that she used The Vest. So which is it? Marine One or The Vest?
hello cladanes, this emmy clip is strange - they are all emmys for cable network actresses - when they should be cbs, nbc, or abc prime time shows. elle for grimm's tales
beyoncarmy I've always wanted to say season 4 was amazing but the finale makes it fall short and not to mentione the season after just pretends it didn't happen
I was going to reply and be all "I know right?! She's so lovely and slim and that dress does nothing for her", but then I realized this might have been when she was pregnant...in which case she looks pretty good lol

Between her and Hugh, that is one talented family.
Hoping for an Emmy nomination for Hugh this year (and a win for Tatiana Maslany).

I stopped watching it after about the 2nd Season. Is the show good in the later Seasons?
Wow!

The Reason why this was well deserved was cause regardless of her hunches, She was very narcissistic and she portrayed Carrie in an amazing manner

I love Kathy and Glenn!
This year is gonna be between Claire Danes and Tatiana Maslany.
now that is an acceptance speech. well done.
축하해요 데인지
She looks so different with all that makeup I don't even recognize her.

The Vest. Damian Lewis used Marine One

Mandy Patinkin, holla!
stasi !
She looks and sounds like Carrie when she was off her meds lol
carrie again,,, like it...
yvaine
what happened to homeland, season 1 was so awesome
Season 2 was also terrific till Q&A. After that episode they completely ruined the show. Season 3 was an even bigger disappointment.
I get season 3 was controversial, but season 4 blew me away. I'd say the best season after the first.
+beyoncarmy I wonder what s5 will be like
beyoncarmy I've always wanted to say season 4 was amazing but the finale makes it fall short and not to mentione the season after just pretends it didn't happen
Y pensar que Anne Hathaway quiso manipular a la opinión pública para que quedara cono mala actriz.
terrible dress !!! fabulous actress ...
she was pregnant tho..
wtf with her dress!!??
I was going to reply and be all "I know right?! She's so lovely and slim and that dress does nothing for her", but then I realized this might have been when she was pregnant...in which case she looks pretty good lol
she was pregnant at the time
