- hope you guys appreciate this, the smoke switch wasn't working for some reason in this video so the amount of smoke is reduced. toal cost of this mod was about $2 or less, for me it was free cause i had some layiung around.
Best part was the roll coal yee yee!
That’s always the best part 😂
How can I get that part and does it hurt the truck when doing that
Put it in 5 gear and let it smoke doing like 20 down the road lol
Faded Entertainment haha not as much smoke as neutral
Hey man we're do I find that thing to make it work ? What did you use ?
It worked for me
where do you find them
radioshack or equivalent
Does this turn the check engine light on or is that only with the switch?
only the switch turns on the cel
TrucksAndTuners where’d you get that long of a resistor? I cant find any long enough to where i can plug it back in
Does it make it smoke more ? Because I have a 97 f250 with ts 6 position chip and it barley smokes will this help make it smoke more ?
OBS Powerstroke yep, and add a smoke switch too, it'll help a bit as well (debateable), my smoke switch wasn't working for some reason when I flipped it up, I think I may have knocked a connection loose when I cleaned the engine bay
Missing your vids man
yeah sorry man, might make one soon, we'll see
What are the entire specs of the resistor
10k ohm
@@MoistMTB like what it's the power rating is it 1/2 or 1 or 2 or what? But I really enjoy the channel keep up the good work
i have no idea man haha
Don't do this
you been alright man? we aint heard from ya in a while
yeah man im good, ive been answering comments and stuff, tell ya what, ill make a video tomorrow!
Next vid?
not for awhile man
I flat out unplugged it and it doesn't do anything different but idle rough and a bit of throttle lag as if it was a modern computer controlled gas engine. MAP Sensor unplugged seems to do better. I would assume unplugged means infinite resistance so it would be better?
if you unplug it the pcm will assume theres an issue and will put it back it to whatever the base pcm settings are for that sensor
Pcm is programmed into limp mode. You want to alter signal, not remove it completely. This mod should not be done on autos if you value your transmission
@@lumbearjack3722 Lol good thing I destroyed 2 E40D, and swapped to a zf6. I did some riggin and have an s2e turbo some welded longsweep pipe to the origional y pipe backwards with radiator hose goin to it from the turbo and some other dumb incomplete shit so I guess I gotta add this now ha. I wonder though how a potentiometer would work with it.
No new projects lately? What driving now?
ive got an 04 wrx wagon, tylers got a jdm bugeye sti, figured no one would want to see more subarus
TrucksAndTuners Subaru WRX are sweet rides. You should atleast show what your new daily is atleast
alright, maybe, ive had 2 or 3 vehicles actually since i sold the obs
Where's some more vids man I love this build!👍
sorry man, sold the truck, been dailying something else, figured youtube didnt want to see it haha
What you sold it ?
yep
What ended up getting for now for a daily.....unless really getto lol
noticeable difference in smoke and hp or no?
does anyone know how to wire the resistor to a switch? i’ve heard you can wire it into a switch and it’ll make them easier to change out
its super easy to take out the resistor and swap it, like literally 15 seconds, i wouldn't even bother cluttering the engine bay with more wires
Yee yee
YEE YEE
Where do u get the 10k thing at
radioshack or somewhere similar, just any electronics store which has resistors
How much did it run you and what do you ask for
When you go into one
@@jaredboswell8314 it's a 10 kilo-ohm resistor, they're real cheap online. Likely less than a dollar each
Does the resistor have to be 10k
no it can be different, but the consensus seems to be that if you go a lower resistance your truck will idle really badly
@@MoistMTB I tried the 5.7k and it runs good but has rough idle so I tried the 12k because they were out of 10k and it runs good but idle is a little off and shakes the truck. I really like driving it like this but is it safe to just leave the resistor in? Or is it bad for the engine. It has alot more power with the 12k resistor in
Any suggestions?
@trucksandtuner where can I get a 10k at
it all comes down to what are you comfortable with, its not gonna hurt the truck any
Oh no oh no no no no no
Bigger injectors is the fix to all of this haha.
yep i agree
@@MoistMTB most people will go 160/30% or 100% but my friend went with 150 baby swamps injectors and dyno tunes but I believe if u call up jelibuilt or blessed performance or other places they would have tunes for those injectors
Dudes not very smart
Where do you find the resistor
any electronics store, similar to the source or radioshack or something
amzn.to/2Y3TECV there u go man, its like 6$ for 10 of them i think, i honestley prefer 6k ohm resistors but its up to you
Would 12k resistor work? Come to electronic store and they dont have 10k! 😏
@@johndowe7003 y 6k
@@twbeard215garage2 its more efficient 10k puts out too much fuel and it sucks, you get better performance out of a 6-7k resistor
