- On Monday, September 22, the American Red Cross in the National Capital Region and the Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Blood Services Region rededicated the E Street Blood Donor Center, naming it after Dr. Charles R. Drew. Dr. Drew was a pioneer in blood donation processing. In this video, Dr. Drew's daughter, the Honorable Charlene Drew Jarvis, talks about the important work performed by her father and shares her lifelong memories of the American Red Cross.

Don't know how red cross gets credit when he quit because the red cross wanted blood donations from blacks to get separated from the rest.🤬🤬🤬 I also wonder about his fatal car crash that ended his life prematurely. He was an amazing person and had so much more left to his legacy. Salute to Dr. Charles Drew!!!!
Did he know Bernard Fantus? 1937 made a blood bank also .
