Andy and Piers do such a nice job of demonstrating proper positions and explaning WHY we should strive to get to those positions. Every video of theirs is a gem.
Great tips... At 51 years old I'm too lazy in my golf practice... Can you bring out a Rub on tattoo patch for the forearms to remind me... Trendy font please 😂
Love this channel and both Mikey and Ian. Mikey, I hope you can start taking care of your body. A healthy body makes life much more enjoyable. I, myself, have struggled with horrible posture and chronic back pain for a good portion of my life and chose to ignore it. I can barely sit in an office chair for 30 minutes before needing to lie down. I have recently started exercising my back and lower body while incorporating mobility/flexibility routines and it has changed my life. I hope you can do the same and I wish you the best.
1) make sure you're aligned properly 2) check your grip. A weak grip favors an open club face at impact, sending your ball to the right 3) club face to path relationship is everything. If it is a straight shot going right, you probably had an in-to-out path with an open face. If it starts straight, or left, and fades back to the right, then you are probably slightly out-to-in club path with a more square face at impact. Any one of those things can cause a block/push/fade to the right. Use an alignment stick and check your aim. Go with a neutral to strong grip to promote a closed club face. Then give your backswing some checkpoints like in this video. That should help get everything lined up.
Unlikely to be a ball position issue, more likely is a body rotation issue. Me & MY Golf or Good Golf Coaching would be my go to YTubers to see if they have a video(s) which chime best with you
I would suggest ensuring your weight gets to your lead side earlier in the down swing. Often times the bottom of the swing arc follows where our weight is at impact
1) Many adult golfers do not have that type of body built (at 57 I have a bit of gut) 2) Many golfers do not have that level of flexibility, thus that type of rotational turn has its limitations. 3) Depending on the ball's lie (up or downhill) the rhythm, timing, and sequence in making proper contact is challenging. Face control, without question, is KEY. No matter how good your backswing, rotation, and depth is, .if you do not have face control, the ball will never go where you want it. Distance be dammed.

Thanks for having us on boys. Hope you all got some useful info for your game!
Guys, loved spending the afternoon in your workshop. Excited to work together some more moving forward.
Please have the me and my golf guys on more videos.
This is great info. After watching this video, I believe this is where I'm faltering in my swing sequence.

I find a lot of my shots end up going right of my target. Could this be a downswing issue?

My problem is that I tend to fat the shot. Any tips on ball position?

I have the flexibility of reinforced concrete.
Coming off of back fusion surgery, I can' rotate that club all the way to my trail leg and it tends to put some strain on my lower left back.
not knowing what they sport I think they had the wrong shafts, wrong heads, wrong everything. hard to watch. Ian to the rescue. 😂😂😂😂
