Howdy, Is there a reason as to why you had the trigger strap extended down for the S&C change? I noticed at around the .28 second mark you cranked it back up?
It was already engaged on the string and rather than messing around with taking it off with an Allen wrench by triggering the switch underneath I decided to just pull the string out. Once the string was out, I wound it up.
@@zumaconcepts1200 Thanks for letting me know...just making sure it's not something I needed to do. BTW, thank you for all your videos. They help a lot!
Changing out to the HHA worked for me and I stuck with that. I’m not sure how to check the spec of the timing dots. If possible please share. I also don’t quite understand how they could move. The only variable that made sense and proved out was the string integrity. I was focusing on the FPS loss and that affect.
John apologies for not responding earlier....ATA (axle to axle measurement at rest) and timing go hand in hand. If you install a new string and or cable set and the cables don't "split" the timing dots (cable is in middle between the dots) you're gonna need to twist the string and/or cables to get it in spec. If your string or cables STRETCH timing will be affected also and the dots won't be split by the cables , thus causing timing and fps issues. TN Sharpshooter on RUclips has detailed videos on this along with drawings and explains it WAY better than I can here.
Yes I did. I did a deployment test and I want to give an update. I will continue to use them myself but I seen something during the test I wanted to share. I need to make a video. I also removed my arrow building video because I recommend mineral spirits to prep the arrows and that was a mistake. I should have used lacquer thinner. Once I have the corrections made I will repost the videos. The internet has plenty of bad information I don’t want to participate in miss information. I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your support and understanding. Thanks for watching.
@@zumaconcepts1200 I did a deployment test my self with a strip of leather from an excalibur micro 380 over a foam target. 100 % expansion on entrance. I'd like to see your results when they are available
@@matthewchurch8065 The results on raw chickens was not great. Small entrance and exit on a couple shots but you could see where it cut the inside of the chest plate was fully deployed. It open 100% on some shots but it appears to need bone to do it. I was simulating a turkey. I believe it would work fine over all and the feathers would definitely make a difference for the better. But all things consider if you are only willing to shoot 50 yards I would say use whatever you want. I didn’t have any accuracy issues with other broadheads till beyond 50yards. I will cover this in better detail in the video. Also I had a miss at 80yards and hit a 2x4 and it had impressive penetration and 100% deployment at entrance. I don’t see any issue on big game. Thanks again for your information. It is helpful for testing and other can use it to make informed decisions.

@@kurtglo thank you and I’m happy to help.
I use string on the cable ends and also wax the cable ends before install.
That’s good information. Thank you.
Hey, John.....good video. One thing though....you didn't say anything regarding ATA measurement or if the timing dots were in spec.

That all make perfect sense. Thank you and I will check to confirm.
Where did you get that vice?

You can order it from Ravin.
You have to order it from Ravin. They aren't cheap. Mine wasn't anyway.
@@brandondauzat6992 you can use the link I added. They are expensive but you can get them on Amazon.

Yes. I did a deployment test and I intended to add to it and repost it. RUclips won’t allow me to edit it I have to repost it. Sorry for the trouble.
Thanks. Although this is ok video but it mostly useless as a guide. A good video would be zooming in on every step and every tie
