The Earthshot Prize | The World’s Biggest Environmental Prize

- This is the world’s biggest environmental prize! We travelled to Boston, one of America’s most sustainable cities, to learn more about why this city was chosen to host the Earthshot prize! Five finalists (one from each category) will be awarded £1 million each to further their work in conservation. The categories are 1) Protect and Restore Nature 2) Clean Our Air 3) Revive Our Oceans 4) Build A Waste-Free World, and 5) Fix Our Climate.
The prize title was inspired by US President John F. Kennedy’s Moonshot, or goal to reach the moon within the decade (1960s), and was created using a similar sentiment, encouraging all people to come together for the sake of global progress.

What is your favourite project?
Making every child and woman plant a tree,and youth collects plastic as a responsibility,been friends with wildlife by planting grass and bushes
I wish I would get just a one year support and I believe my organisation can do great change,but lack of support makes us crawl not even walk

Lots of fantastic ideas here; all are worthy to be included! Based purely on the few seconds each project gets, and my wholly inadequate additional knowledge of the problem and solution, I would pick the Portuguese Seaforester project as my favourite and most beneficial to the world ...

The project that touches my heart the most is HUTAN, though all the finalists have merit and I will be happy whomever wins. It is so necessary that people and wildlife coexist harmoniously, and the community plan is a small but effective beginning.

Are there government agencies or private entities where every ordinary people can send their ideas that could help solve problems in our world? These should be opened to all no matter who you are, where you live and whatever your status in life. There should be prizes or awards to those who contribute with significant benefits. These should be opened all the time without nomination needed.

They receive lots of exposure and will likely get lots of investment of the back of this

BTW, plastics suck. They say that plastic will stay with us FOREVER yet just about Anything made of it? Is cheap and doesn't last for chit. Not worth the tradeoff.
