I hope you're working well in environmental engineering, Can an architect do this course as well? And also let me know from which country is yo from brotha!
Really enjoyed watching this video . I live in Northern Ontario Canada . We are surrounded by massive forests so during spring/summer its Green everywhere . In my opinion , the people that designed the hotels in Singapore did an amazing job , it looks so green , so "lush " and if it does everything it supposed to do , its a win win situation for wildlife and humans . Thanks for making this video and showing the rest of the world whats going on and how to do it .
BRILLIANT - BRILLIANT - BRILLIANT!!! This is what the youth of today need to be exposed to! Imagine the possibilities of changing the narrative from destructive to engineering for the future. I feel encouraged and enlightened by these brilliant minds. So many positive projects!
Im a first year college student or BS Architecture in Bicol University from the Philippines, and i would say that I am really inspired by your content. It was so long that I wanted to design green structures for my future career. I wish you success in your content. I'm an avid subscriber.
I really enjoy watching this video! This is also one of the major reasons that I am learning architecture--As the future architect, we believe that the world will be better and better by making efforts into the soul of design. Keep doing good things, I wish we and many people who share the same agreement will have some cooperation in the future!
I believe as humans we have been building Green Architecture for 1000's of years. I think all step pyramids were built for agriculture, each step would have it's own microclimate allowing their builders to grow plants that otherwise wouldn't be able to survive in their region. An ancient greenhouse could be one way to describe it.
Amazing video! 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 I really appreciate all sustainable green cities with green clean energy! Especially Copenhagen and Singapore were AWESOME! 💋❤🔥 I've already visited Copenhagenhill where I was skiing on artificial skislope, however I would like to visit Singapore as well!
im taking a "design of green buildings" course in my university and i'm doing a research about a green building of my choosing, can you provide names of the green buildings listed in the video and list some of the most amazing green buildings that i can do my research on?
Great video!! I love that the vertical garden in Barcelona had a sign with the species that are living in it. I reminds people that it is not just on this planet.
Sigh. I really want to pursue this type of architecture. I’ll be a freshman next school year but I don’t think I could only apply for Bachelor of science in architecture. Sadly in my country there is little universities that has this type of course. I want to solely focus on this one but I can’t afford to go to other universities outside for this major.
A little green is nice for sure. Too bad these building ain't sustainable at all :) - (construction, materials, life cycle,...) - Hope Going Green (who's doing a nice job) is gonna find the green gem we are all waiting for!
@@GoingGreenOfficialThanks for the reply! I love the look of both the park royal hotel and the oasia hotel - The former for the density of its greenery and the latter for how its plant life looks as it coils around the structure. Personally, although I'm opposed to the use of concrete, i'd have to settle on the park royal hotel as my favourite due to the way it resembles a vertical tiered forest, and that its plant life seems to have taken to it more readily without looking out of place or overbearing. Whilst the oasia hotel looks amazing and seems to best showcase a merger of manmade material and nature, it looks a little sparse - Though i suppose the sheer size of the building itself might play a part in this. If I were to do something like this myself, i'd want to merge the styles of both structures, to almost hide my structure under vines, bushes and trees, and maybe add some fruiting plants if I'm able. I think that both of them demonstrate the growth of vines most effectively out of all of these projects, which is something i'd want to mimic; The idea of introducing vines without them getting out of hand seems very attractive to me, as though they live with the structure symbiotically. A balance that has a give and take, with neither side being harmed in the process. I wonder if grape vines would be able to achieve a similar wild appearance, and run rampant over a building?

Before villages for 75% population in next 26 years will move to cities, possible to create better environment for villages. Like smart villages with better conditions for life

Das heißt, ich gebe die Natur zurück. Viele Landwirte stellen Lebensmittel mit Pestizid her. So schade, aber ja. Ich mach jetzt, sonst Verspätung. Schöne Grüße aus Indonesia
One of the things I thought in my brain is how many dead plants that the city needs to clean and how big is the maintenance staff to keep the plants good? Second, so many lawsuits for trees ruining property…
My only question is how expensive is it to make a green building and to sustain it compared to a beautiful concrete building that you don’t have to sustain. I hope we keep finding cheaper ways to expand on this sustainable architecture. America hopefully starts in this direction soon.
I don't know when locals and government in my city will take action to make it sustainable. the pollution rate has increased very much and I can't breathe properly outside. A swiss app was showing that my city's air quality is hazardous.
Green building do not need LEED certification. Green buildings are buildings that designed utilizing strategies that promote wellness and net positive that contribute to the sustainability to the urban fabric. We should not design just to meet a certain certification for awards but to design to make our city greener.
@@GoingGreenOfficial although standards are minimal. We should still explore the philosophy of the built environment to exceed what we call "standards". At this moment our standard is at best minimizing.
A really green building would be a free home for all human beings. A home with a roof garden for every person on earth. All these smart green buildings are experiments in vanity.
a lot of these ideas are just concept-stage and barely scrape the surface. They are being promoted by people who dont really understand the science involved. Some real-world highly useful options include solvent-free paints eg Lakeland Paints - which are solvent-free, VOC-free, Non-toxic and actually edible ! Surely, paint solvent is a tiny concern you might think ?? Not at all - paint emitted 24 MILLION tons of greenhouse-gas solvents into the atmosphere last year and every year (WHO 180 et al) - and these solvents are on average 20-50x worse than CO2. So - if you really want to do something to help counter global warming you could do a lot worse than switch to one of the VOC-Free paints out there.
This is the world we must live in.
This is why I am studying civil and environmental engineering. I can’t wait to design green architecture.
Great course! Me too
GOD bless you in your wonderful green 💚 🌿 journey !!!
Hey I'm studying the same course as well !
You will be disappointed when we sort out nuclear fusion energy. Then we will not need any fake green activists.

hello! can you explain more about the unsustainable practices of the buildings? specifically the life cycle?
building exteriors should be mandated to have at least 30% plant coverage, even on vertical surfaces.
