Remember that she’s not trying to reveal her whole life, to me it’s more of what a cosplayers job is. Even if u don’t enjoy what ur currently doing, remember you can always change that, life is full of possibilities and you can always make it better!
@@sweezy8073 I don't know. Depends on what you call easy. Is working less hours with more public appearances based on you're looks easier than working 12 hours a day. I don't know but everything has it's benefits and sacrifices. I get the feeling people think 100% of Japanese people work 12-16 hours a day. If you're good at modeling and live streaming and you're cute you can make a lot of money of off thirsty boys on the internet. Sure some days might be longer but not like the other professions from this series.
I've read that modelling jobs are actually much harder than it seems at first glance, even for someone like Yuzuchi. They always have to constantly watch their weight and figure, they're always insecure about their job as there is always the possibility of someone younger and prettier outshining them. It's actually a job that can secretly be very mentally taxing...
Well, that job requires you to look the best you can. An added benefit from that is that outside of work, you will still look 11/10. For people that can commit to it, it's the best job ever :)
Yeah you also need to be present on social media and make contacts for jobs all the time. A portion of requests comes in but I believe they still have to look out for jobs themselves which can get quiet stressful. I'm a hobby cosplayer and it is already hard to maintain an uploading schedule and she uploads every day...
Yeah, but in Japan, their shelf life is quite short. After 20, their prospects drop every year and it gets harder and harder to book gigs and keep an audience.

Really insightful series! Would love to see a day in the life of: 1. Japanese civil servant/ward office worker 2. Musician 3. Garbage disposal cleaner 4. Fisherman 5. Sumo wrestler 6. Shrine maiden 7. Funeral director
All of those would be really cool to see! Shrine maiden especially, as I imagine that is a very unique job and of course, very Japanese. Musician would be awesome, especially one that's "not made it big" yet. Fisherman... Sumo wrestler... So on... You have some great ideas and I hope Paolo sees them!
angryengineer1 You dirty dirty person... Well, I think there was a video in my recommended videos at some point that I didn't watch, but I'm pretty sure it was an interview with some adult star. Not sure if that would be helpful to you, if you're being serious, haha
angryengineer1 I agree. This kind of video let's us see a side that you wouldn't get to see otherwise. I guarantee there's a lot going on "behind the scenes" for JAVstars and the like.
Another one watched. I might be addicted to the "day in the life" series :) This one divides opinion, I think. Unless you have been to Japan, or know the culture, it seems odd that someone can make a living doing Cosplay - but it's so popular (especially in Japan), that a living can be made from it. As mentioned tho - it's probably not something you can do indefinitely, but I suspect girls like this will be happy to find another job, as the lifestyle seems more important than earning loads of money - In other words, no desire to work 14 hour days for lots more money. Each to their own ;)
S. I seen some twitchers that are from Japan but they’re either vlogers or Americans who live in Japan . It wouldn’t matter if she didn’t get much Japanese viewers though cause for sure shit load of viewers on the states would watch her and donate a bunch of money. Lonely guys from twitch donate a lot to women twitchers, I know it sounds mean but it’s true.
And that's another job. She just wants to have this playtime for herself. When you stream, you have to watch about what you say, what you do, reply to donations etc.
@Simon Im not sure she would count as a "Twitch Thot". She is actually playing video games for hours regularly by herself when there isn't money involved in her doing it. Shes a gamer.
@Simon I've seen some Japanese and Korean people on there, it doesn't matter though because if she streamed on Twitch all the thirsty bois will be throwing money at her
@@Kronos0999 Yeah her life is nice for now, but she is only able to do this since she's still young and still good looking. After a few more years, I doubt she'll be in this line of work. Hopefully she's smart and saves her money.
She has to talk for 2 hours while keeping the talkative and cheerful persona when I can't even talk to someone 30 minutes straight without me going to the bathroom and crying because of embarrassment-
I think you probably meant to say that you are uncomfortably nervous and self-conscious when talking to people. After all, what would you possibly have to be embarrassed about? Either way, if someone has spent nearly 30 minutes talking to you (or even ten for that matter) then things are obviously going fairly well and you have not yet said or done anything to scare that person off or which you would need to be embarrassed about.
It's just really fun and intresting to see everyone living their life so differently. I love this series so much and I sometimes wish we could see something similar to this for different countries with various age groups too!
I love how everybody in Japan seems so respectful of the way she dresses and her choice of career. In most other countries she would be treated as an outcast and looked down upon. That's what i find fascinating about Japan. People are deeply attached to their traditions and proud of their heritage but in no way dogmatic about it . Respect and decency are at the core of this culture.
In Japan, there is VERY BIG pressure about what you should do as a society member and what kind of work is respected, and guess what - cosplaying is not at the top of that list. The thing You need to understand is that, in Japan, there is that thing called "tatemae". People will talking "you're cool", "fine", or "wow incredible", but if You don't meet their expectations about what you are doing in life, they will probably cut contact with you completely.
@@kausthita11 no, it's a art and literature genre on the life of low life's in a rapidly advancing society with morally questionable technology. Not impossible. Geisha aren't prostitutes despite common Western assumptions. (Not sure if that's what you were saying by your comment, correct me if I was wrong!) Oiran, which were Courtesans that performed tasks similar to Geisha, were prostitutes. Geisha just provide music, conversation, drink, etc. They're performers.
@@leigh7569 definitely wasn't implying they were prostitutes lol. Geisha give private shows so I'm not sure Paolo would be able to sit in on any of them. I'm sure their clients would not want their paid Geisha to come waltzing in with Paolo right behind them with a camera haha.
To imagine cosplaying ur favorite animes as ur profession is amazing , that is one of the reasons i love Japan as they have unique and interesting jobs
12:07AM: "Finally, her work is complete and now she gets time for herself". She woke up at 10:00, didn't leave home until 13:00, worked for "about two hours, actually even less than that", spent an hour in a cafe, three hours dining/singing with a friend. Excluding about 90 minutes of commuting, she had *seven hours* of time to herself out of eleven, even before the four hours she spent playing games after streaming. If that was a typical day, what does a light day look like?
On my light days, I do nothing, quite literally. Maybe binge watch a show or play games the whole day. Maybe do a bit of cleaning. My light days can be very boring.
I don't know how to feel about this one. On the one hand I want to say "damn, she works four hours a day; it's good to be pretty" but on the other, I'm guessing the pressure to perform and always be on, always at your prettiest, must be terrible. Either way, it was an interesting video, so thanks Paolo!
What do you mean by the pressure of being pretty ? The pressure in Cosplay is to look as much as possible like the character that they portrait and finishing at time their costume, not if they are pretty enough. It's same the disney employees who need to portrait as much as possible their characters. If you are pretty but can't portrait the characters, it's a bad cosplay. There is cosplay for fun and serious cosplay. Serious cosplay is not just about looking pretty. She is pretty much doing nothing in this video, working hours is nothing for what she is doing here, and the thing about always pressure to perform and being at your pretty, is not something that is seen in this video, cosplaying is costume and playing a character. If she like the character and want to looks like a character who happened to be already pretty, where is the bad in it ? Feeling that you are looking like a character from something you like is a very good feeling. Pro cosplayers play characters who are average or "ugly", does it means that they wants to feel at their prettiest or just want to feel like a character because they like it? Since she post on social media, people are looking for her if she can do some photoshoot for them, wich is a free money, mostly for a young adult.

I find these vids incredibly interesting. For example, this young lady's life, neither good nor bad, it's not for me to judge another society, their customs, "rules" habits and lifestyle. We are often too quick to judge .... but worse we do so based on our own preconceived home grown value system which is irrelevant to her lifestyle. I think she's a sweet young lady, finding her way forward in a VERY complex societal matrix. Well done and I wish her well.

I've had similar thoughts like that for a lot of his videos lol. Like how sometimes he'll already be at a train's destination, ready to greet the person when they get off.
All of these "Day in the Life of" videos are thoroughly prepared days/weeks in advance. I think in any country, but especially in Japan, a permission for filming in a workplace is required beforehand. That includes giving detailed descriptions of what the footage is intended for and where it will be shown. Most of the people whose faces aren't blurred, have been contacted, informed and questioned at least days before filming.
I'm soo late to this video! But she is so pretty and her friend is veryyy pretty, it's so interesting watching a cosplayers life and how they live.

Either way, if someone has spent nearly 30 minutes talking to you (or even ten for that matter) then things are obviously going fairly well and you have not yet said or done anything to scare that person off or which you would need to be embarrassed about.

I had a good laugh reading this
On my light days, I do nothing, quite literally. Maybe binge watch a show or play games the whole day. Maybe do a bit of cleaning. My light days can be very boring.
LordGaude Try and get out more
Because she is a young girl with attractive appearance. There'll always be a huge market for young attractive girls.
The pressure to always be on is part and parcel of Japanese culture. Thats why there are so many shut ins.
