I have no idea that George's attack has maximum stagger. Even though we all missed that final attempt on Artorias to the internet arm goblins, I'm pretty sure that George was the one doing the heavy lifting
i just finished my first playthrough and had the same thing happen to me, I didn't even realize what those crab things were until this video. Also got the silver pendant but didn't know what it did lol
its an item that lets you negate dark damage for a few seconds, making Manus' magic attacks not do anything. I had the pendant but never used it as the Manus fight was too fast for me to do so lol.@@djmesa7203
You’ve quickly become one of my favorite RUclipsrs for these games, the editing and music with your humor makes for such a entertaining and calming view
Fun fact: that was actually the third vagrant you had come across. I remember one killed you in blight town and you didn’t even notice because you thought it was the bug monster that killed you
People have been purposely making more since Illusory Wall dropped his video on how they work some time ago. Prior to that you never saw them, but I've been seeing them a lot more recently. @@itsSpicyGaming
@@itsSpicyGaming they are rare, relatively speaking, as they are the rarest enemy in the game. there are a couple different versions of vagrants too. and depending on which platform you play on, platforms with higher player bases will have increased chances of spawning vagrants.
The guy who you said “he crawled out of bloodborne” he actually did im pretty sure he got grabbed by the same hand that takes you to artorias because the hand takes you back in time. My theory is that the bloodborne guy was from the age of dark and got pulled back in time from another reality into dark souls
I’ve done like 4 playthroughs and have hundreds of hours in DS and have never seen a vagrant. This mans seen 2 his first playthrough. Hes the main character
Well played Spicy!!! From my first attempt at the Dark Souls DLC, Artorias was my biggest problem. The other bosses were a good challenge, but (for some reason) I got stuck for a long time against Arotrias...! George helped more than I expected against Artorias! And a note, I truly like the editions and some sides of humor here and there! Wish you my best regards and success!
Thanks! George was actually a great help against Artorias. He feels more like a DS3 boss than the rest of the slow DS1 bosses. Glad you like the humor. I'll keep the videos coming!
It’s been really interesting watching you play through these as someone who started with Elden Ring and went backwards. Would love to hear your opinion on ranking the games once you get through them all
I think the most interesting part of the DLC and one I don't really like, though I know a lot do, is that it's very telling, looking back, that FromSoft clearly wanted to make a faster paced game. Just look at Bloodbourne, Dark Souls 3, Sekiro. The only game that plays slower in the series is Dark Souls 2. But if you look at Artorias, Manus, even the Sanctuary Guardian. They're all, to me, seemingly a test on how fast-paced they can make a boss in DS1's slower gameplay.
If you go to the DLC and summon Sif before you go fight him in the forest, you get a different cutscene where he remembers you. It's the super sads. Also, you should watch "Prepare to Cry Remastered ► The Legend of Artorias the Abysswalker" by VaatiVidya. My favorite Dark Souls lore video and character.
12:12 Not just the calamity ring, but the women and the children too. LobosJr beat it with the screen upside down, another time punching only (I believe every other Souls game including Bloodborne which granted him a world record or something)
Would say Dark Souls! Not because of favoritism or nostalgic reasons, but the DS DLC offers a lot for the base game and the challenges were welcome for a somewhat okayish late base game. Bloodborne was already great and the DLC only made it better! That's my take!
You should play this game again when there is a Return to Lordran community event going on though the next one has yet to be determined as of posting this.
Artorias' armor/motiff is based off Guts from Berserk. Excellent manga/anime that inspired all the rest of Souls/Elden series too. If you wanna check it both the 1997 anime which is free to watch, and the 2022 Memorial Edition, are excellent. Stay away from the 2016/2017 anime it is atrocious.
After you beat the regular sanctuary garden boss fight, if you go back to his boss room, there will be 2 sanctuary guardians there waiting for you as regular enemies
I just got the platinum for the game on PS5. If it weren't for an earlier video of yours, I probably never would have bothered re-rolling a character & then just going 'why not get the platinum?' NG+ was me cosplaying Artorias & NG++ was a black mage with the Abyss Greatsword as it was my favourite weapon & sorcery is beautifully broken. Considering doing it again for Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin next... but the whole mostly dudes with armor thing makes it hard to want to do it.
Funny story, a vagrant spawned and killed me in the hole that Patches pushes you down and I thought it was intentional. That was until I went back down there and it was gone.
I have no idea that George's attack has maximum stagger. Even though we all missed that final attempt on Artorias to the internet arm goblins, I'm pretty sure that George was the one doing the heavy lifting
George carries every playthrough
I also had no idea George could stun Artorias, or anything for that matter, only had a head egg once like 10 years ago. lol
i just finished my first playthrough and had the same thing happen to me, I didn't even realize what those crab things were until this video. Also got the silver pendant but didn't know what it did lol
Artorias was actually beaten using only the George attack, the footage was lost due to the world not being able to handle that level of cool.
So sad I lost the footage actually. George solo'd Artorias without my help
I don't know what's crazier, the second vagrant or the fact you beat Manus without the silver pendant, NO WAY I could do that, good job dude
Brother, I do that all the time. Manus is not hard.
@@KevinRichMarkmanus is easily the hardest boss in ds1 what the fuck are you talking about
What the silver pendant? never got that when I beat Manus

Holy crap he went extra Old school by using the Counter Strike L96 instead of the Intervention from MW2009 to denote Gough's 1337 no eyes needed shot

@@itsSpicyGaming nah man normally theyre rare af, 200 hours on xbox one and another hundred on pc and Ive never seen a single one ingame 🥲
I've probably seen two in the last ten years of playing Dark Souls lol. I'm always close to death and they spawn in my ass n kill me 😂😂

"The future is now" he says at 16:00 which might be the most accurate yet confusing line from a lore perspective haha
I have at least 50 playthroughs in DS1 and I saw about 5 Vagrants. You are insanely lucky to encounter two in a single run.
I’ve done like 4 playthroughs and have hundreds of hours in DS and have never seen a vagrant. This mans seen 2 his first playthrough. Hes the main character
I also found 3/4 on my first playthrough and had absolute no idea they were this rare 😅
Fun fact the royal wood entrance is the darkroot garden from sif's boss fog just in the past

that worm has bene eating 15% of your souls all playthrough btw
The cost of having a lovable child.
Child Support is rough these days, but George is worth it
lol THIS! Was the bing chilling stream 😂
A tip if you ever plan on doing this again in the future, a single two handed running r1 from the zwei is enough to stop Artorias from buffing.
Oh haha that would've been easier than using my parasitic worm but whatever works!
@@itsSpicyGaming The zweihander does some pretty insane poise damage, especially when twohanded
I have well over 1000 hours in DS 1 and have only seen 1 Vagrant; it was in the UB Church and it killed me before I knew what it was. 😥

you would love Shrine of Amana in DS2 if you love frogs
you're a bad person D:
He's just a poor oblivious soul, don't do it!
6:28 right here is the moment i killed manus love the vids and also LETS GOOOOO I KILLED MANUS
I still get flashbacks from the first time I faced Artorius
Hey dawg just wanted to say you were extra funny this episode. Thanks for the laughs ♥️

Alright, now states the question. Which dlc is better? TOH DLC (Bloodborne) or Dark souls DLC
Would say Dark Souls! Not because of favoritism or nostalgic reasons, but the DS DLC offers a lot for the base game and the challenges were welcome for a somewhat okayish late base game. Bloodborne was already great and the DLC only made it better!
That's my take!
One of them have Ludvig
and one of the best music track in any souls game
Oh, to play Dark Souls 1 for the first time again. I hated it then, and I'll hate it now. I hate that game so much. 10/10 Blessed be Miyazaki
The amount of times you have died from falling off a cliff is amazing.
Kalameet was such a pain at SL1 no pyro, hardest boss for me. But i did use pendant for Manus so maybe not using it would change that
Are there also the complete videos from your series? For example, how to play through the DLC.
Bro I’ve played dark souls for like 3 year I’ve never found the rare npc and this guy find it in his first run
“He can’t pull out a new attack” it’s a dark souls dlc they can do whatever they want
You should play this game again when there is a Return to Lordran community event going on though the next one has yet to be determined as of posting this.

yess!!
Why was sanctuary guardian alive at the end (after he got the dwg ring)?
After you beat the regular sanctuary garden boss fight, if you go back to his boss room, there will be 2 sanctuary guardians there waiting for you as regular enemies
George makes you weak to fire 😅
How have you gone through this much of the game and had only +2 estus flasks??!!😵
Turns out I'm not very good at finding fire keeper souls.
100$ challenge for beating Artorias using obly George
I didn’t know you can stop artis buff hahaha
Spicy gets to the best boss in the game and then loses the winning footage. That is just typical life tbh :/
Which helm is that ?😮
How did you find 2 vagrants!!!! Theres no way he finds a third by the end of this run no wayyy ahah
Is that an online key after stream crash? 😂

Are you from UK?
The item that changes the roll is from the game or is it a mod?
game, dark wood grain ring. dropped from npc.
no way this guy got two vagrants
